2) Just you. These look really cool, nothing really particularly awesome about them though, sadly to me they've just got too much random stuff going on without any special emphasis other than straight black or white. I think i'll pick up Black...it's legend looks pretty cool, compared to Zekrom. Now to see the other new 5th gen normal Pokémon!...Ohwait, Pokémon Sunday'll just waste a reveal on these in 2 weeks without anything else revealed specially...*sigh* Oh, and if I had to guess, I'd think Reshiram is Normal/Flying and Zekrom is Dark/Steel. Another funfact: Although Reshiram is white & Zekrom is black, Reshiram is Black's mascot while Zekrom is White's mascot. o.O Last edited by OMGITSJAD; May 28, 2010 at 10:54:52 AM. |

It's a....It's a.... actually I don't know what this is? How does this resemble Pokemon?! Those are one the worst legendaries, scratch that, THE WORST I've ever seen. Okay, I'm sorry. DON'T FLAME ME! But, they don't look as colorful as Lugia or Ho-oh. They just look like monsters into a machine. The white is a little colorless. Even in gold Ho-oh had multiple colors. And the black looks like a machine that you would see in a M rated war game. Please don't flame me for this ,but this is my opinion and not yours.

For the sake of contrast, of course. A white legendary Pokémon on a white background wouldn't stand out much, would it?
On an interpretative note, it's possible that Reshiram's name may be referencing a race of giants in Hebrew folklore/mythology called Rephaim. This is probably unlikely, but the two names immediately struck me as something biblical or Hebrew when I saw them. |

2) Possible...Though I don't know why they'd relate names with Hebrew origins. I knew you would. |

Also, as found on GoNintendo, these games are going to have DSi-exclusive features!

Anyone wanna guess what they are? Increased Memory = More Save Slots? Or maybe just giving it better Wi-Fi capabilites since the DSi can connect to different routers that normal DSs can't? |

The Rumor was also discussed about before Heart Gold and Soul Silver were released. GoNintendo some proof please :-\ |

I've seen quite a lot of people (not on this particular forum, but several others) hate on the legendaries, but I honestly love them. I'm also a bit surprised that the English website has posted the announcement for BW so early, but that definitely isn't a bad thing.
In any case, if these legendaries are a sign of further things to come this generation, I'm really excited. |

I think Zekrom looks really awesome, and his expression is just epic.
"Yeah, that's right. I'm just that badass." On the subject of the DSi enhancements, I doubt they'll be worth enough to justify buying a new system unless Nintendo decides to make the game exclusively for the DSi, which I doubt they will. I haven't seen many examples of DSi enhancements on games, which leads me to believe that developers will be cautious with their experiments into what the technology is capable of at this time. The additions will probably be Wi-Fi enhancements like previously speculated, though I'm a little doubtful of the multiple save slots, unless they decide to put in on an SD card. On the other hand, they may create files which can be saved to SD cards which, when placed in the DSi, will unlock new features in Black and White, like the dongle mode for Pearl, Diamond, and Platinum. |

^Yes.
And on top of that, even if you don't like the Pokemon in the beginning, play it anyway! The Pokemon will probably grow on you and you will start to like them. Kinda like how it was for me and when I first got Diamond. The funniest part will be when people don't buy Black or White because of the starters and then the starters will have epic final evolutions. Like in the 4th gen. |

If it's released any more than a month before Europe I'm importing. By importing, I got Diamond 6 months before the European release. And SoulSilver 6 months early as well. But that one was in Japanese. I'm importing these from Japan as well.

The legendaries look amazing and definitely more 'mature', but they are not completely outstanding. Reshiram might turn out to have yet another dual-type that we have seen a lot of times before. Zekrom, however, promises more diversity type-wise. Both of them look equally impressive to me, so I'll probably be confused as to which game I'll buy.
Anyways, I'm really excited about those legendaries, and I hope more information about them will be revealed soon. Last edited by Shadow; June 8, 2010 at 10:34:44 AM. |
