Default Silverlands vs. teamplasma

Silverlands vs. teamplasma

Battle Style: Single Battle, 1 Pokemon
DQ Time: 3 days
Restrictions: No OHKO, no chills, no Double Team, no substitutions.
Arena - Stadium in the sky.
A 1 v 1 duel between flying types.
There is actually no ground here. If you can't fly then you have no hope. This is a duel of the dragons. Only clouds and air separate the two challengers and there are no platforms to rest on. Stay airborne or plummet to your death. Nowhere to rest and agility is crucial.
Pokemon are extra sensitive to weather effects due to being in the clouds.
Constantly having to be airborne drains your stamina too.
The ultimate endurance battle of the skies.
Damage Cap: 100
Open Ref.

Silverlands, as the challenger, your Pokemon, but no moves yet.
teamplasma, your Pokemon and moves afterwards.
After that, Silverlands' moves.

[Tote]
[Sigilyph, Female]
Ability: Magic Guard

Get ready for this fight by starting with Cosmic Power. Then if he attacks physically or with special attack us Attract again. But if Nimbus doesn't us Ice Beam.

Tote
Sigilyph - F

Ability: Magic Guard
Health: 100
Energy: 100
Status: Time to fly!

Silverlands

Nimbus
Altaria - M

Ability: Cloud Nine
Health: 100
Energy: 100
Status: I'm always ready for a sky battle!

The battle began. Both battlers flew in place, conserving energy. Tote flew a little higher, going above the cloud line. She looked up, bathing herself in the lights of the stars above. It felt great, and made her stronger. Her defenses increased, Tote hovered back down to the battlefield. Tote had learned something, though. The endurance of hovering in midair made every move twice as hard to conduct!
Sigilyph: -6 Energy, +1 DEF, SP DEF

Nimbus took some time to look at his strange looking opponent. It looked like less of a bird, more of a totem pole. He started an attack. Being an Altaria, he prided himself for his clean, white wings. He had found a dark smudge on one a little while back, Nimbus decided to get rid of it. He tossed it up in the air, and batted it towards Tote. Right when it was to hit her, a barrier came and absorbed the poisonous substance. Nimbus was amazed. What was this barrier?
Altaria: Move FAILED (Magic Guard), -10 Energy

Tote couldn't help but smile. Few opponents knew that only moves that damaged would work against her, so this always took them off guard. Silly little poisons wouldn't work on her. Knowing that Dragons hate the cold, she took in a deep breath of freezing air, which hardened into ice in her mouth. Tote fired a steady beam towards Nimbus from this ball of ice. He wouldn't see this attack coming...
Sigilyph: -14 Energy

Nimbus was still baffled on the other side of the field when something caught his eye. It was a line of light, with a color somewhere between the white clouds and blue sky. Nimbus then realized that the beam was heading straight towards him! He did a defensive maneuver that all Altarias were taught: deflect. Putting his wings in front of him, the beam felt icy cold, but didn't do any damage because his body was protected.
Sigilyph: Move FAILED (Protect)
Altaria: -10 Energy

Notes:

Amazingly enough, there were no rolls.
Because this is the "ultimate endurance battle of the skies," all moves cost double Energy.

You're up, Silverlands.

Tote could only think about how badly that last attack went. She still had some ice in her mouth, so she attempted the attack again. This time, Nimbus didn't see the beam. It hit him straight on in the chest, forming a thin layer of ice. Losing altitude fast, he broke out and menaged to keep hovering over the battlefield. Maybe the next time the ice would be more crippling...
Sigilyph: -14 Energy
Altaria: -21 Health

Nimbus wanted this battle over fast after Tote had nearly frozen her in the sky. Luckily, he knew a deadly technique to do the job. He sang out, loud enough for anyone to hear. Tote heard it, and it sounded so beautiful, her guard lowered. These notes turned sour, and now she wished she hadn't lowered her guard. When Nimbus finished singing, the song stayed in her head, but it kept sounding worse and worse! However, Nimbus was also suffering from his song.
Altaria: -12 Energy, PERISH SONG count is 3
Sigilyph: PERISH SONG count is 3

Now that a song was playing over and over again in her head, Tote could barely focus. She remembered seeing a bird, and decided to aim for it. Releasing an icy blast, it struck the presumed "bird," going right through it. The target turned out to be Nimbus, who again plummeted from the sheer frigidness of the beam. Again, he recovered, flying back up.
Sigilyph: -14 Energy, PERISH SONG count is 2
Altaria: -21 Health

Nimbus needed a way to stop the icy blasts, and fast. He acted hurt, and slowly flew over to Tote. There, he claimed that there was no way that he could beat her, as she was clearly much stronger than her. This clearly gave Tote a moxie of sorts, and she felt much stronger. Still, though, she couldn't firure out why Nimbus would outright tell her that she was stronger, and got very confused by it.

Okay, Sigilyph, lets break the accuracy deduction with Ancient Power, which Pokeman forgot to do last time, but unless that doesnt apply anymore, use another Ice Beam . Then, Tote, Use another Ice Beam!

let's stall this out so we can claim our monies and dwell on how foolish we were to use toxic...
and probably invest in a pokemon without a 4x weakness...

Tote began the round, but she had no idea what was going on. Everything was a blur - and that song sounded like nails on a chalkboard now. Either way, she took an earthly power out of herself and fired it towards an object she thought was an opponent. She hoped that it would eventually collide with something.
Sigilyph: -9 Energy, PERISH SONG count is 1

Nimbus could see a gray orb heading his way. It was big, it was fast, and it looked to be filled with sharp, jagged stones. This was something he didn't want to be associated with, so he once again deflected it with his whiter-than-white wings. It exploded, sending shrapenel in all directions, but Nimbus was unharmed.
Sigilyph: Move FAILED (Protect)
Altaria: -5 Energy, PERISH SONG count is 1

Tote could not bear it any longer, but still the demon song played inside her head. She fired off an icy blue blast. Across the field, Nimbus did see this coming, and flew over to the right to dodge it. Seeing her attack fail, Tote lost some hope. She couldn't take the song any longer. She covered her ears with her wings. She plummeted out of the sky, but the song stopped. She was falling, falling...
Sigilyph: Move FAILED (Attack Missed), -7 Energy, PERISH SONG count is 0, FAINTED

Nimbus saw Tote falling from the other side and cringed at the thought of impact. He flew up, hoping to catch himself if the same fate befell him. It did; the song murdered his ears, and Nimbus finally couldn't take his own song anymore. Flying higher, he covered his ears and also fell at blinding speeds. The song stopped as he covered his ears. It was all over, he thought...

Notes:

Tote's confusion roll was 78, with 1-50 causing the move to fail due to confusion.
Ancientpower's stat raising roll was 21, with 1-10 raised all stats one stage.
Tote's 2nd confusion roll was 68, with 1-50 causing the move to fail due to confusion.
Ice Beam's roll was 98, with 1-95 hitting.
I gave Ice Beam a 95 accuracy because of executive decision; I figured Altaria would still expect the move after 2 turns but not as much, so I decided to restore 5 accuracy to the move.

If Syra or Grass would now please wrap up this battle?

Ooookay, then.

This battle has ended in a draw because both pokemon have fainted at the same time.

Therefore, Silverlands and teamplasma are both awarded $10--> $5 for the battle, and $5 for each pokemon KO'd.
