Default Johto Jen: Goin' Hoenn

I'm not done yet

Prologue: "Guess I should get going for Hoenn." Jen said. She was back home, enjoying her time back with her family. It had been two weeks since she won the Silver Conference, and two weeks since she last saw her friends Crystal, Gold, and Keshia. After she won, she said her goodbyes and came home, the others did the same.
"I wonder if I'll run into them again." Jen said, packing her supplies.

In Kanto, Keshia was packing her supplies, preparing to travel to Hoenn.
"I think I'll bring Radar, Dewgong, and Noctowl with me and Flareon." Keshia said. Gathering up her pokemon, she prepared to leave.

In Hoenn, Gold was wondering why he didn't cchallenge Hoenn before.
"Oh well, at least I got to make a lot of friends in Johto. I wonder if I'll see them again." He left for New Bark town, equipted with all his pokemon.

In Sinnoh, Crystal was still getting laughed at by her brother.
"Okay hot shot. If you think you're so tough, how about you battle Jen?" Crystal asked. That shut him up.
"Be nice to Keith, he suffered a loss in the competition, so go easy on him." Their mother said.
"Don't tell me, he was the one who started it!" Crystal said.
"That goes for Keith too." She said.
"I'm going out for awhile okay?" Crystal said, then left. However, she took her pokemon and enough supplies to last her for awhile, and was headed for Hoenn.
"Glad to be away from him." Crystal said.

This is one of my unfinished stories, but I don't have enough time to transfer over all of them at the moment. The rest comes later

Chapter 1: "Hey dad, I'm off now." Jen said.
"Good luck, and bring home another win, okay?" Chris said.
"Okay, but it might be hard since Pidgeot is staying to train here." Jen said.
"Don't worry, I'll train him really well." Chris said.
We are staying as well. It was great travelling with you, but we are going to stay home this time Umbreon said.
I understand, but I'll miss you two Jen said. After that, she went out the door, on her way to the nearest harbor to go to Hoenn.
So, how do you think you'll meet your friends this time?
I don't know Gallade, but you didn't surprise me Jen said.
Darn Gallade said.

"One ticket to Hoenn please." Keshia said. She was at Vermillion city, getting ready to start her new adventure.
"Sure thing, but what about your friend there?" The man asked. Puzzled, Keshia turned around and saw Glaceon at her heels.
"Guess I shouldn't have left you behind, huh? She is with me." Keshia said, picking up Glaceon.

"Where am I suppossed to go again?" Gold asked himself. "Oh yeah, New Bark town, how could I forget?"

"Why do you feel the need to sneak out of the house every time you are going on a new adventure?!?"
"Sorry mom, but you would have stuck me with him this time, admit it." Crystal said. She was on the boat, talking to her mother on the phone.
"Maybe I would have, but what is so bad about traveling with family?" Her mom asked.
"He really annoys me. Speaking of which, where did he decide to go now?" Crystal asked.
"He went to Kanto, if you must know."
"Ouch, angry much? Oh, I got to go mom, the boat is docking." Crystal said.

"So, this is New Bark town is it?" Jen said.
Calm, peaceful, quaint Gallade said.
Those are the first three words that come to mind Jen said.
"So, did you think you would be going anywhere without me?" Jen turned around and hugged her friend Keshia.
"Great minds think alike I supposse." Keshia said.
"Yeah, and Hoenn is a big place, so we should get started soon." Jen said.
"Where do we get registered?" Keshia asked.
"I think over there." Jen said, pointing at a building. They went over and got registered together, then went to get lunch.
"Where to first?" Keshia asked.
"If I'm reading this right, the nearest gym is in Petalburg, northwest of here." Jen answered.
"Pity Pidgeot stayed behind." Keshia said.
"Yeah, I'm going to miss him." Jen said. A girl of 10 entered the resturant, with a Ralts on her shoulder, and looked around.
"Wonder who or what she is looking for." Jen said. Keshia turned and saw her, then shrugged. The girl's eyes wandered to them, then she walked over.
"Excuse me, are you perhaps Jen?" She asked.
"Depends on the situation." Jen said, to the amusement of Keshia.
"My name is Rikki, and my older sister is unfortunantly Maya." Rikki said.
"Wait, the same Maya who thought she could beat Chris?" Keshia asked.
"That's my dear old sister." Rikki said in a sarcastic tone.
"Say I was Jen, what would you want with me?" Jen asked.
"I wanted to apologize for my sister's behavior." Rikki said.
"Are you sure she is the older one?" Jen asked.
"She gets full of herself at times, but that was just crazy and insulting." Rikki said.
"That it was to my dad." Jen said.
"So you are the champs daughter. I was wondering, could I travel with you awhile?" Rikki asked.
"Um, I don't know. Keshia, what do you think?" Jen asked.
"She seems okay to me, why not?" Keshia said.
"I guess your coming with us." Jen said.
"Great, you won't regret it. I feel I should point out, however, that I too am a coordinator." Rikki said.
"Great! Less time it takes to move from gym battle to gym battle." Keshia said. They finished eating and left for Oldale town, when on the outskirts of the town, they saw two familiar faces.
"Hey Gold! Crystal!" Jen and Keshia shouted. That got their attention, and they turned around and yelled back for them to hurry up.
"Tipical Crystal. She doesn't wait for anyone, not even close friends." Jen said while running.
"About time we meet up. I'll have you know I was looking everywhere in Oldale twon for you two." Crystal said.
"We weren't in Oldale town. We were getting registered in New Bark town, then got lunch and a new traveling companion." Keshia said, pointing at Rikki.
"Hello. My name is Rikki, and I hope we can get along." Rikki said.
"Well, keep up that politeness and we should be the best of friends." Crystal said.
"I find it wierd that I have become a male trainer in a group with four other female trainers." Gold said.
"Oh, Rikki isn't a trainer. She's a coordinator." Jen said.
"Well, less time to wait for matches, right?" Gold said.
"My thinking exactly." Keshia said.
"Well then, shall we get started?" Jen asked.

Before I start, I must clear something up. I let my poor memory get the better of me, and made a mistake with Gold's team. I forgot about Feuilles when he caught Sneasel, so here is his team with him: Arcinine, Scizor, Feuilles, Kingler, Manetric, Shuppet.

Chapter 2: "Hey Jen, are you sure we can really fit her contests in our scheduel?" Crystal asked.
"Well, luckily the contests are held on our way to the cities for our gym battles, so we should be able to manage just fine." Jen said.
"Okay, but just know that I am going to hold you responsible if I miss the competition." Crystal said.
"Hey guys, is that Petalburg?" Rikki asked. She pointed to a city coming in view, with a gym in plain sight.
"Yep, that'd be what we're looking for." Jen said.
"So Jen, give us the run down on Hoenn please." Gold said.
"I hate to say it, but I have very little knowledge of Hoenn. I don't know every gym leader's name, and I can't remember a badge name to save my life, but I do know the location of each and the type's they specialize in." Jen said.
"Hmm, guess we'll have to ask around to know." Keshia said. Entering the city, they went staight to the gym, only to find it closed until further notice.
"...Seriously? Can gym leader's even do this?" Crystal asked.
"The gym leader here is named Norman, I think, and sometimes goes off to train for awhile." Jen said.
"Well, what now?" Gold asked.
"Well, I for one don't want to wait around, why not go to the next gym and come back here later." Crystal said.
"Sure. We have to go through Petalburg woods to reach Roxanne, the rock specialist." Jen said. After that was decided, they went to the pokemon center to spend the night.
"I alway love the food in pokemon centers." Keshia said.
"You always love food that you can eat." Crystal said.
"I'd argue but there is food here, so I'll get back to you." Keshia said.
"Only prooving his pointo further." Jen said. Rikki's Ralts went over and brought her food next to Gallade.
Made a new friend, have you? Jen said.
Maybe, but so have you Gallade retorted.
"Hmm, that's wierd. My Ralts is never so open with new faces." Rikki said.
"Gallade says she is open with him because she is merely curious why he chose to become a Gallade and not a Gardevior." Jen said.
"Ah, so the rumors were true. You can speak mentally with your pokemon." Rikki said.
"Yep, and Gallade is saying that your Ralts is now lecturing him on his poor choice, and kindly asks you to get her away from him before he does something you won't be happy with." Jen said. Startled, Rikki ran over and grabbed Ralts, and took her away.
"Sorry, but Ralts isn't a fan of battling, of fighting types." Rikki said.
"She knows contests have battle rounds, right?" Keshia asked.
"Yes, but those are about grace and elegance, so she is okay with that, but not with the brute force of battles." Rikki said.
"Okay, but what about fighting types?" Jen asked.
"She sees them as the embodiment of battling in pokemon from." Rikki said.
"Gallade is telling me that your Ralts lectured him on choosing to embrace martial arts instead of his natural evolution." Jen said for Gallade.
"Well, that isn't right. Ralts, understand that not every pokemon feels the way about contests that you do." Rikki said. Ralts simply continued eating, ignoring Rikki's statement.
"What am I going to do with you?" Rikki sighed.
"Don't say anything." Jen warned as Gallade started to speak.
"So, anyone leave any pokemon behind?" Gold asked, trying to change the subject.
"Nope. I couldn't bare to be away from Serafina, Leader, or Shadow. And forget about me ever leaving behind my furry friend here. Besides, I've become greatly attached to Lucky and Sonia." Crystal said.
"I brought Flareon, Dewgong, Radar, and Parasect with me, then Galceon followed me all the way to Vermillion, so how could I possibly leave her after that?" Keshia said, petting Glaceon, who was on her lap eating.
"Pidgeot wanted to train witth my dad, but other than him and Heracross, the whole gang is with me." Jen said.
"As for me, Sneasel stayed behind, so I have my full team of six here." Gold said.
"Ralts is my only pokemon, since I only just started my journey." Rikki said.
"So your Ralts isn't very strong huh?" Jen asked.
"Not in power, but try to match her grace if you can." Rikki said.
"Well, I prefer to battle, but to each their own way of life I guess." Jen said. The next day, breakfast got a little out of hand. Gallade was eating, when all of a sudden his food flew up out of the bowl and right at him, then fell all over the floor.
"What the heck happened?" Jen asked.
"What a mess. Gallade, I think you need to eat more if you get that hungry." Keshia said. Gallade wan't amused, and immediatly turned to Ralts, who was eating away.
"Ralts, was it you who did that?" Rikki asked. Ralts shook her head, though Gallade wasn't convinced.
"Ralts, tell the truth. Did you throw Gallade's food at him?" Jen asked. Again, Ralts shook her head no, but gave off the sensation that she wasn't telling the truth. Gallade simply let it go and got more, and this time it didn't fly away.
Guess you didn't make a new friend Jen said.
Guess not, but atleast she has some guts to do that to a superior opponent Gallade said.

Chapter 3: After the incident at breakfast, Gallade made sure to stay away from Ralts, not wanting to be bothered by her pranks.
"Rustborough(or however you spell it) is just through these incredibly thick woods." Jen said.
"Why are there so many trees?!?" Crystal said in annoyance.
"No idea. I'm not sure why it's called Petalburg Forest though." Keshia said.
"Sarcasm noted." Crystal said.
"Just stating the obvious." Keshia said. At last, they got through the forest, and were greeted by bright sunlight.
"Okay, time to get our first Hoenn badge!" Jen said.
"My first contest is here as well, and by the looks of my schedule book for contests, we aren't a moment too soon for me to sign up." Rikki said.
"Oh, well I guess we can see you perform. The gym isn't going to get up and walk away on us I supposse." Keshia said. Arriving in Rustborough, Rikki immediately signed up for the contest.
"Okay, now wish me luck for the first round!" Rikki said. She went out on stage when she was called, and let out Ralts.
"Magical Leaf!" Rikki said. Ralts let loose Magical Leaf, and it formed a hollow tornado above her.
"Now Confusion!" Rikki said. Ralts took over the attack and had it collide into each other, creating a mist of green sparks, then bowed.
"How was I?" Rikki asked.
"It was really pretty, I'll give you that." Jen said.
"What's the matter?" Rikki asked.
"Well, I guess it might be the fact that I'm not a coordinator type, but it was just kind of short for my taste." Jen said.
"Well, let's just see if I did good or not." Rikki said. The first round went by, and the coordinators who were going to the next round were put up on the monitor. Out of the four put up, Rikki was the third.
"Wow, glad I made it." Rikki said, sighing.
"I thought you were confident." Jen said.
"Okay, so I was nervous." Rikki said. On the battle stage, Rikki was the first to go up, and her opponent had chosen a Snover.
"Shine on Ralts!" Rikki said.
"Snover, use Ice Shard!" He said.
"Confusion!" Rikki said. Ice Shard was taken over, and swirled around Ralts, shimering beuatifully, then sent back at Snover. The boy's point monitor went down by a fourth, and he wasn't happy about that.
"Bullet Seed!" He said.
"Magical Leaf!" Rikki said. Magical Leaf cut right through Bullet Seed, and hit Snover hard, fainting it.
"Nice one Ralts!" Rikki said. The next round went by, and soon Rikki was on the final stage against a male coordinator named Ben.
"Shine on Ralts!" Rikki said.
"Go Granbull!" Ben said.
"Ralts, use Teleport!" Rikki said. Ralts was warping everywhere, making Granbull irritated and confused. His point meter went down a bit, and Ralts teleported on Granbull's head.
"Sheake it off and use Bite!" Ben said.
"Confusion!" Rikki said. Ralts took over Granbull, and flipped it in the air, then sent it back down crashing.
"Ouch, that is going to hurt tomorrow." Rikki said. Grabull got up and charged at Ralts, only to be stopped in it's tracks by Confusion, then sent crashing into the cieling then back down.
"Not very graceful, I'll admit, but effective." Rikki said. Granbull fainted after crashing into the ground, and Rikki ran to hug Ralts.
"We won our first ribbon!" Rikki cheered. She accepted her ribbon, and left with a feeling of happiness and pride.
"Okay, now that you're done with your contest, next is our gym battle!" Keshia said.

Chapter 4: "Okay, now time to earn our first Hoenn badge!" Keshia said.
"Eager much?" Jen asked.
Like you aren't Gallade said. They reached the gym soon, and went in.
"Roxanne, we challenge you to a match!" Jen said.
"I'd be happy to oblige. Graveller, Nosepass, come out!" Roxanne said.
"It's you and me Glaceon!"
"We fight as one Venusour!"
"Graveller, use Earthquake. Nosepass, use Magnet Rise!" Roxanne said. Nosepass rose into the air, and Graveller shook the ground violently, tripping Glaceon and causing Venusour to almost lose his balance.
"Venusour, use Razor Leaf!" Jen said. Just as Razor Leaf zipped by, Jen noticed one of the boulders twitch.
"Keshia, did you see that?" Jen asked.
"See what?" Keshia asked, confused.
"The boulder, I swear I saw it move a bit." Jen said.
"You okay? Come on, focus on the match." Keshia said.
"Fine." Jen said. Razor Leaf had knocked out Graveller, and Nosepass had barely avoided the hit, still in the air with Magnet Rise.
"Glaceon, Blizzard!" Kehsia said. Glaceon's Blizzard coated the entire gym in an icy cold frost. While Nosepass was getting hit by the attack, Jen's attention was once more caught by the same boulder shivering.
"Look! The boulder is moving!" Jen pointed.
"I can't see anything with Blizzard in use." Keshia said. Nosepass fell to the ground, covered in a thick coat of ice, fainted.
"Guess I lost that round." Roxanne said. Jen and Keshia went to collect their badges, and on their way back, Jen saw the boulder shiver once more.
"Venusour, Razor Leaf!" Jen said, pointing at the boulder. Although confused, Venusour hit the boulder, sending it crashing into the wall. After the collision. the boulder morphed to a Ditto, fainted.
"Thought so." Jen said.
"How could I have missed that?" Roxanne pondered. Before anything else was said, a pokeball was thron and captured the Ditto. Rikki went over to collect it, smiling to herself.
"I need more pokemon to be a good coordinator." Rikki explained.
"Now that that's out of the way, it's our turn." Crystal said impatiently.
"Go Onix and Golem!"
"Go hard or go home Feuilles!"
"Game on Leader!"
"Onix and Golem, use Dig!" Roxanne said.
"Feuilles, fly up!" Gold said.
"Iron Defence!" Crystal said. Feuilles flew up while Leader braced himself as Onix and Golem sprang up and hit Leader hard at the same time.
"Iron Defence or not, that hurt." Gold said.
"Hydro Pump!" Crystal said. At point blank range, Leader soaked Onix and shot it backwards.
"Then again, that probably hurt a lot more." Gold said.
"You going to help, or do I get to have all the fun?" Crytsal asked.
"You really think Feuilles was doing nothing?" Gold asked. Confused, Crystal looked up and saw that Feuilles was charging up a massive amount of energy in preparation for a giant Solarbeam.
"Leader, dive into a hole!" Crystal said. Leader quickly made his way into a hole and ducked into it.
"Let it loose Feuilles!" Gold said. He fired a beam far too large to avoid, hitting both Onix and Golem, knocking them both out at the same time.
"Since when did you become so strong?" Crystal asked.
"With enough time, any pokemon can make a Solarbeam that big." Gold said. The five of them left the gym, the trainers of the group happy in the fact that they won their first Hoenn badge.
"Where do we head to next?" Keshia asked.
"Dewford Island. I heard there is a fighting type gym there." Jen said.
"Should be easy for Lucky." Crystal said confidently.
"We'll just see, won't we?" Jen said.

Chapter 5: The group was eating their lunch at the pokemon center while the pokemon were playing with Rikki's Ditto. Ditto was transforming into a copy of the pokemon and then mixed themselves up, and the others had to guess who was the real one. Jen and the others would occasionally play along as well.
"Hmm, tough one." Keshia said.
"That's what you said about the others." Jen said.
"Okay then, you tell me which Glaceon is the real one." Keshia said.
"Fine, I will." Jen said. Jen went over and studied the two pokemon closely.
"The one on the left." Jen said. The Glaceon on the right turned back into Ditto, a small dissapointed look on her face.
"How did you know?" Keshia asked.
"Lucky guess, must be." Gold said.
"Nope. Ditto had a slightly more blank look on her face, and that's how I knew." Jen said.
"I'll definately get the next one. Ditto, go on and tranform." Keshia said. The trainers closed their eyes, as did the pokemon except for Venusour. Ditto turned into Venusour and let them know they were ready.
"Okay guys, let Keshia try first before any of you guess, alright?" Jen asked.
"Hmm...Got it! The Venusour on the right is the fake." Keshia said confidently. Ditto, on the left turned back to normal, a proud look on her face this time.
"What? I was sure I was right." Keshia said.
"Well, you weren't." Crystal said. They played that game for a few more minutes, then decided to get moving.
"My Ditto has won more times than she lost, and she is happy about that." Rikki said.
"Just don't let it get to her head." Crsytal said.
"Hey, I just thought of something. Dewford is across the sea. How are we suppossed to get there?" Rikki asked.
"No problem. There's a boat near Petalburg woods that can give us a ride there." Gold said.
"Never mind then." Rikki said. Making their way through the forest, dusk snuck up on them quickly.
"Dark already?" Gold said.
"Apparently so." Jen said.
Better set up camp here Gallade said. Letting all the pokemon out for dinner, they once more paired up with others to eat, with the exception of Furry, Ralts, Glaceon and Gallade. Furry went to Crystal, Ralts went to Rikki, Glaceon went to Keshia, and Gallade went to Jen.
"Did you here that?" Gold asked. Stiffening up, they listened carefully until they heard a rustling in the bushes.
"Here we go." Jen said. A Shroomish rushed out at them from the bushes, spraying Poison Powder everywhere.
"Don't breath it in!" Jen said through her shirt. Venusour charged Shroomish, not being effected by the poison.
"Glad to have him on our side." Keshia said. Shroomish was knocked out just by colliding with Venusour.
"So what to do with this one?" Jen asked.
"My team is full." Gold said.
"Same here." Crystal said.
"I doubt I could do anything with it." Rikki said.
"If I caught it, my team would be filled up, but I don't want it on my team." Keshia said.
"Same here." Jen said.
"Can we just leave it here?" Gold asked.
"No. We already set up camp. It will wake up soon, and probably spray more Poison Powder." Jen said.
"I guess I'll take it." Rikki said. She threw a pokeball and caught it.
"Well then, we'd better get some sleep." Crystal said.

Chapter 6: The group made their way through Petalburg woods and soon spotted the harbor. After purchasing their tickets, they climbed onto the boat, waiting for it to set sail to Dewford Island.
"The boat is suppossed to leave any time now." Gold said.
"Yep. You know, we didn't have any breakfast this morning." Keshia said.
"Then lets go get some." Jen said simply. The boat was quickly loaded by a few trainers, and some tourists, and the boat was sailing to it's destination.
"This is some good food here." Keshia said.
"I agree. These are the best bacon sandwitches I've ever had!" Gold said.
"Hey, the champs having a match on tv!" A trainer shouted. Jen turned her head sharply when she heard the news, and quickly picked up her plate and went to the television.
"Great! A delicious breakfast and a show." Keshia said.
"I heard he's going to use some new pokemon in this match." A trainer said.
"I doubt that." Said a tourist.
"No, I heard that too!" Another trainer said.
'Shh! It's starting." Jen said.

"Put your hands together for the challenger, Roy!" Boomed the announcer. A young man of about 15 walked into view, his head held high and his face beaming with confidence.
"And now, help me in welcoming, your favorite and mine, Grand Champion Chris!" The announcer said. Chris also walked into the stadium, with all but Gallade present (except for Gyarados). When he got to his area, he let out Gyarados in the pool made for him.
"This will be a full battle. Each trainer using six pokemon. The match will be oer when all of one trainer's pokemon are unable to battle. Upon reaching three of one trainer's pokemon fainting, a field change will occur. The starting field will be a rock field. Begin!" The ref said.
"Go Salamence!" Roy said. Salamence, larger than normal ones, came onto the field roaring. Chris, to everyone's surprise, held out a pokeball, though his entire team was out and present. He threw the pokeball and out of it came-

"Pidgeot?!?" Jen exclaimed.
"I told you he was going to use new pokemon." A trainer said.
"I wonder if this one has what it takes." A tourist said.

"Salamence, Sludge Bomb!" Roy said. Salamence shot multiple purple orbs of sludge at Pidgeot, though with his speed none of them made contact.
"Speedy, ain't he?" Chris asked.
"Not fast enough to dodge Salamence's Dragonbreath!" Roy said. Before Salamence drew in a breath, however, Pidgeot had already hit it in quick succession with Aerial Ace, knocking it out.
"Maybe not dodge, but fast enough to stop." Chris said.
"Return Salamence. Go Golem!"
"Lovely, a Golem. Pidgeot, return!" Chris said.
"Never known you to retreat from a battle." Roy taunted. To add to people's surprise, Chris held out another pokeball.

"Don't tell me." Jen said.

Heracross leapt out of the ball and onto the field, raring to fight.
"Golem, Body Slam!" Roy shouted. Golem trudged as quickly as it could toward Heracross, but he was just too fast, running circles around Golem. Literally, running circles around it.
"Earthquake!" Roy said. Golem shook the ground violently, knocking Heracross off balance and tripping him.
"Rollout!" Roy said. Golem curled up and rolled quickly to Heracross, building speed as it continued.
"Combat Claw!" Chris said. Heracross leapt up and, faster than most people could see, punched Golem a total of 20 times in one slash. Golem stopped rolling and collapsed, fainted.
"Golem, come back. Go, Swellow!" Roy said. Chris recalled Heracross, only to send back out Pidgeot.
"Swellow, Aerial Ace!" Roy said. Swellow looped in the air and charged at Pidgeot full speed, only to get intersepted by another Aerial Ace on it's back.
"Wow! That is too fast!" Roy exclaimed. Swellow crashed onto the rocky ground, fainted.
"Round four is up very soon. Think about your strategy very carefully." Chris said.
"I...I don't have any more pokemon." Roy confessed.
"What? Why not?" Chris asked.
"I was under the impression that you were very weak and easy to beat, and that I would only need three pokemon to beat you, if even that much." Roy said.
"Who told you that?" Chris asked.
"It's everywhere, and everyone is saying it or has heard that you're a weakened, old trainer." Roy said.
"That's a lie. I'm not the youngest trainer, I'll admit to that, but I'm still the champion for a reason. Who has been spreading these lies about me?" Chris shouted, this time to the audience. They were whispering amongst themselves, startled by what they just heard.
"Someone is making trainers believe I'm an easy win, and I need to set them straight." Chris said.

"After all his wins, trainers think he's weak?" Crystal asked.
"Not sure how, but I know that I'll never think him as weak." Jen said.

Chapter 7: After finally reaching Dewford Island, Jen and the others got off the boat and headed straight to the pokemon center.
"I'm never going on a boat again!" Rikki said.
"Who knew you were sea-sick?" Keshia asked.
"Not me, otherwise I'd have never gotten on that boat!" Rikki shouted.
"Well, we're off now, and that's what matters, right? Come on, lets go to the center, then we can get our next gym badges at the destroyed gym building...wait, what?!?" Keshia exclaimed. They turned to see what Keshia was looking at, and they too saw the Dewford gym destroyed. The roof had collapsed, multiple bricks were scattered, the front of it was gone, and Brawley, with Officer Jenny were standing infront of it talking.
"Let's go. We have to see this." Crystal said. They ran over to Brawley, still discussing with Officer Jenny.
"Well, when I came back from surfing, my gym was destroyed, and that's all I can say to you." Brawley said.
"I'm afraid that's not much to go on. This is the fifth gym this month." Jenny said.
"Wait, fifth gym?" Jen asked.
"Oh hello there. Yes, there were four other gyms this month that have been destroyed. Watson in Maville city had his gym smashed to pieces, Flannery had her gym demolished. This isn't in just Hoenn you know. Price, in Johto had his gym destroyed, and Koga, in Kanto had his entire gym completely obliterated." Jenny said.
"Wow. Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn?" Gold asked.
"Sinnoh's next on the list." Jen said.
"I really hope they don't hit Snowpoint City." Crystal said.
"Well, I can't do anything about it now except rebuild my gym." Brawley said.
"So we have to wait until you get it fixed to have our gym match?" Keshia asked.
"Oh, you are challengers? Well, lucky for you guys, I have a second gym near the beach inside a cave. Follow me and we can get our battle started." Brawley said.
"Yes!" Keshia cheered. They followed Brawley to his second gym, relieved to see it was perfectly intact.
"Okay then, who goes first?" Brawley asked.
"Get ready, cause we're going first!" Jen said.
"Okay then. Go Machoke and Medicham!"
"It's you and me Flareon!"
"We fight as one Venusour!"
"Machoke and Medicham, use Bulk Up!" Brawley said. Machoke and Medicham flexed their muscles and powered themselves up.
"Venusour, Razor Leaf!" Jen said. Venusour shot his attacks at Machoke and Medicham, but they didn't seem to be doing that much damage.
"Flareon, Flamethrower!" Keshia said.
"Medicham, Confusion!" Brawley said. Medicham redirected the jet of fire straight towards Venusour.
"Wild Vine!" Jen quickly said. Venusour just managed to shield himself from the jet of fire, blocking it with his vines.
"Solarbeam!" Jen said. With the vines still protecting him, Venusour charged himselfwith energy, preparing a massive Solarbeam.
"Double Focus Blast!" Brawley said. Machoke and Medicham charged and fired their attacks simultaniously at Venusour.
"Flamethrower!" Keshia said. Flareon fired the attack, momentarily holding it back.
"Fire it now!" Jen said. Venusour lowered the vines and unleashed a massive blast that joined with the Flamethrower to not only push back the two attacks, but knock out Machoke and Medicham as well.
"Nice match Brawley." Keshia said.
"You two. Now then, I suspect that I have to fight those two as well?" Brawley asked.
"Yep." Gold said.
"Then bring it on. Go Haryama and Primape!"
"Go hard or go home Feuilles!"
"Game on Lucky!"
"Close Combat and Arm Thrust!" Brawley said. Primape and Haryama moved at a speed with which caught Gold and Crystal off guard. They were infront of their pokemon in seconds and were smacking them around with ease.
"Fly up!" Gold and Crystal said together. However, neither Lucky nor Feuilles could escape the barage of attacks.
"Keep it up!" Brawley said. After a lot of brutal attacks, something weird was happening with Feuilles and Lucky. They both started glowing a mysterious misty white. Freaking out a bit, Primape and Haryama backed away quickly, ending their attacks. Feuilles and Lucky, however, were only just starting to attack. Quick as a flash, they flew up as high as they could and started to dive bomb their oponents, all the while spiraling aorund each other creating a sharp-pointed attack.
"What on Earth?" Gold asked.
"I think our pokemon have a new element move Gold." Crystal said. Feuilles and Lucky smashed right into Primape and Haryama with tremendous strength that cracked the battle field, kicking up a dusk storm. When it cleared, Haryama and Primape were knocked out, but Feuilles and Lucky were still standing, albeit barely.
"Seems I lost again." Brawley said.
"What power!" Crystal said, amazed.
"Was that a combination move?" Gold asked.
"I think so." Crystal said.
"What to call it though?" Gold asked.

Chapter 8: Departing Dewford Island via a boat, the group relaxed as they sailed to Slateport, or at least they tried to.
"Man, I wish those girls would shut up!" Gold complained.
"That shrieking is driving me mad!" Keshia shouted.
"Why are they yelling anyway?" Jen asked. Deciding to see what the commossion was about, they got up and mad their way through the crowd. Seeing that they were surrounding someone, Jen recieved a shock to see who they were.
"Wow! Dad, Alex, what are you guys doing here?" Jen asked.
"Jen? Is that really you?" Alex asked.
"It's me alright." Jen said.
"Make way, make way!" Chris grunted.
"Where are the other pokemon?" Jen asked, struggling to get through the crowd. Chris pulled her out, and the others as well.
"Thanks, I could hardly breath." Keshia said.
"Now, the pokemon are traveling by air or by sea. I didn't want to put them through all this." Chris said.
"Good call. This crowd is insane." Alex commented.
"But why are you guys here?" Jen asked.
"I'm trying to track down who has been giving me a bad name, and I bumped into an old friend along the way." Chris said.
"I've been traveling Hoenn for a while now, keeping up my status as the best coordinator." Alex said.
"I knew I recognized you!" Rikki exclaimed happily.
"Please settle down. Me and Chris here already have too much attention as it is." Alex said.
"Let's move to a quieter place, shall we?" Crystal said.
"Where? The boat isn't big enough for us to have a place to ouselves without a crowd." Jen said.
"I know, so why not move to a better place and leave the rest to me, okay?" Crystal said.
"Okay, lead on." Chris said. They made their way through the crowd with immense difficulty, finally getting to the deck of the boat, with the crowd close behind them.
"Game on Furry!" Crystal said. Furry popped out of her ball, and caught the attention of the crowd.
"Fury Swipes!" Crystal said. In a flurry of movement, Furry slashed the crowd back, fending them away until they ran, leaving them alone to talk.
"Nice. A little much, but nice." Alex said.
"I thought so." Crystal said.
"Finally, now we can talk peacefully." Jen said.
"Now, how is it your dad knows the best coordinator?" Rikki asked eagerly.
"Okay, just hold on. I was a battler back when I was young. I got the privillege to battle the grand champion, but I was unlucky enough to get on Umbreon's bad side, and got thrashed right out of the gate. I then wanted to train with him to get stronger. Although, after a while, I realized that battling just didn't feel right with me, so I tried contests, and just fell in love with them. So, things carryed on until I have the success I do now." Alex explained.
"I'm Rikki, a new coordinator, and I was wondering if you would give me a few pointers?" Rikki asked nervously.
"I really don't have any to give, sorry." Alex said.
"None at all?" Rikki asked, disapointed.
"Sorry." Alex said.
Hey Chris, I think I see something Gyarados said.
What is it? Chris asked.
I think it's a pokemon, but it doesn't look like a water type at all Gyarados said. Chris strained his eyes to try and see what Gyarados had seen, and saw an Eevee, very young by the looks of it, drowning.
"That Eevee is in trouble!" Chris shouted. He was just about to jump off the boat when Jen beat him to it. She swam as fast as she could to the Eevee, and managed to save it just in time, as it was just barely keeping it's head above the water. Gyarados lifted Jen and the Eevee, now in Jen's arms, onto the boat.
"Nice save Jen." Keshia said, handing her a towel.
"Thanks. It's due to all the swimming practice I had with Gyarados." Jen said, drying off.
"I'll get a towel for the Eevee." Gold said. He came back with a small towel, with which Jen wrapped the Eevee in.
"I wonder how this little one ended up in the middle of the ocean so far from land?" Crystal asked.
"No clue. But I do know that this one is very young, probably just a little older than a baby." Jen said.
"You're right. We'll have to take her to the pokemon center at Slateport and see if she has an owner." Chris said.
"How do you know that it's a girl?" Gold asked.
"Look closely enough and you see different markings on male and female pokemon. Plus, I've spent enough time with Umbreon, Jolteon and Leafeon when they were all Eevees to know the difference." Chris said.
"Well, good luck about the pokemon center, because it doesn't look liek Eevee is willing to move from Jen's arms." Crystal said. Eevee had fallen asleep, comfy in her arms.
"Cute, very cute. I'd hate to give you up." Jen said.
"Who wouldn't?" Alex asked. A few hours later, the boat docked at Slateport harbor, and the group departed, after Chris had returned Gyarados.
"Now, I hate to leave you already, but I have to go." Chris said.
"Me too. I'm off to keep up my training." Alex said.
"Wait!" Rikki said.
"Yes?" Alex asked.
"I...I want to come with you." Rikki said.
"Really?" Jen asked.
"Yes. I want to be the best coordinator I can be, so please let me travel with you." Rikki asked.
"I'm not sure." Alex said.
"Hmm, the scene is, oh say, 16 years ago. A young, just defeated trainer pushes himself to train with me, not really giving me much choice. Years later, he gets the same thing coming to him." Chris said.
"Point taken. Alright, I'll train you." Alex said.
"YES!" Rikki cheered.
"I guess we'll be seeing you later." Gold said.
"I guess so. It's been a great time." Rikki said.
"Bye." Crystal said. They said their goodbyes and left for the pokemon center while Alex and Rikki kept going, and Chris going around town.
"I found this little Eevee in the ocean, and was wondering if she had an owner." Jen said to Nurse Joy.
"No one has reported a missing pokemon." Joy said.
"Really? Then she must be wild." Jen said.
"Well, I do know of a group of Eevee's near the pokemon center. I can even take you there if you want." Joy said.
"Yes please." Jen said. They followed Nurse Joy outside, and didn't have to walk long before they came to a small group of Eevees. The Eevee in Jen's arms woke up after gentle pursuasion, and was surprised to see her friends and family.
"Here you go. This is where you belong." Jen said, putting down Eevee. She didn't move towards the others.
"Go on, they're waiting for you." Gold said. She still didn't move.
"I think she wants to stay with Jen." Crystal said.
"No. I'm not taking a pokemon so young with me that has family and friends." Jen said.
"Fine, your loss." Gold said. Jen nudged Eevee forward, and eventually she went to the others, who were overjoyed to see her safe.
"Bye Eevee." Jen said. Then, she and the others set off for Maville shortly after lunch. Little did they know that Eevee was following then close behind.

Alright, it's 2011 and I'm back with new ideas for my fan fics

Chapter 9: On their was to Maville, the group has stopped in front of one of the weirdest houses in the world.
"The Trick House?" Jen read.
"I've heard of this before. In just a few seconds, this strange guy is going to pop out of nowhere, and issue a challenge to us and the other people here." Gold said. They were not alone at the crazy house, as a crowd of people have gathered as well. As if on cue, the rather fat man in a top hat and cane came out of a smoke cloud.
"Hello my people!" He exclaimed. The crowd cheered loudly, for they knew what was coming up.
"Now, I trust you all know my rules, but for the new comers I'll run it by them. You and one pokemon will travel through my house to the other side. First one through wins a year supply of pokemon food, and the title of worlds best puzzler!" He said.
"Shouldn't be too hard. We walk in, then walk out." Keshia said.
"You couldn't be more wrong." Gold said.
"Everyone, choose your pokemon and start...now!" A cannon went off and everyone quickly got out a pokemon and rushed in.
"Game on Serafina!"
"Go hard or go home Feuilles!"
"It's you and me Flareon!" Jen was about to pull out Cinder when someone stopped her.
"Only one pokemon per trainer." He said.
"I know, I'm getting mine out." Jen said.
"You have one already." He said.
"Gallade? No, he's not mine." Jen said.
"Not him, that one." He said. Jen looked to see what he was pointing at, and let out a groan at seeing the Eevee sitting there. Before Jen could explain, the man left for the house, as well as the others, leaving her the last one outside.
"I'll deal with you later. For now, come on." Jen said. Eevee rushed to her side as she ran inside the house. When they got in, Jen gasped at seeing a waterfall.
"You had to say it was easy, didn't you?" Jen said to Keshia.
"I didn't know he could put a waterfall inside a house!" Keshia retorted.
"Welcome to the first obstacle! You and your pokemon must swing from the ropes hanging from the ceiling to get to the other side in order to advance." The trick master said.
"Lovely. How is Serafina supposed to get across?" Crystal asked,
"You chose wisely with Eevee...wait, Eevee?" Gold asked.
"She just showed up." Jen said.
"Hurry, lets go or we'll be left behind!" Keshia said. Jen picked up Eevee and carefully judged where to jump from. She was the first one to try. Jen ran forward, kicked off the ground hard and managed to grab the first rope out of three. The momentum she got from the leap allowed her to swing to the second one as well as the last one. She had to swing her body to get some momentum at this point though, and tried her luck by letting go of the rope. She landed half on and half off the edge, and after a very close call, Jen got up and ran to the next obstacle. After showing everyone how it was done, the others tried as well, though not all were successful. The number of people decreased by half after the first trial. Gold, Crystal and Keshia made it across, and hurried to catch up to Jen. They found her staring at a large area of sand.
"A dessert too, are you kidding me?!?" Keshia shouted.
"Relax. It's an easy one, just go across." Crystal said. She was about to go forward when Jen put out an arm to stop her.
"Why are you stopping me?" Crystal asked. Jen didn't say anything as a trainer ran past them. rystal was about to say something when, after three steps in, the trainer and her pokemon fell in a pitfall trap.
"Oh." Was all Crystal could say. Jen picked up Eevee again and slowly made her way through. By now, all the other trainers had made their way to the second obstacle. Most decided to rush out to the dessert area, while others watched Jen make a slow yet successful crossing. Those who watched didn't fall on their backs in pitfalls. Every now and then Jen would stop and side step, then go ahead again. She kept doing that until she made it across, then ran to the next room. Keshia, Gold and Crystal had remembered Jen's path and ran across it, the others trying to find a path themselves. Gold, Crystal and Keshia were the only ones, besides Jen, who made it. They came to the last room, but didn't find Jen. Not surprising, considering the last room was a giant maze.
"After the waterfall and dessert, I wouldn't be surprised if he had mountains in here." Keshia said.
"Come on Serafina, lets not let Jen get ahead of us." Crystal said. They split up, each taking one of the four paths.
"Dead end? Have to back-track." Keshia said. Flareon, on the other hand, charged through the wall, only to reveal it to be paper.
"You are smarter than me." Keshia said. Flareon smiled at that. Serafina and Feuilles had the same idea, blasted their way through walls, fake or not, getting carried away.
"I'm fine with this. The easiest was through a maze is to go through it." Gold said. After Flareon, Feuilles and Serafina had blasted through the walls, they each found themselves at the finish line at the same time. They ran for it, as fast as they could, trying to beat the others there. They crossed the finish line, then collapsed on the ground, panting.
"Who won?" Keshia asked when the Trick master came.
"Jen did." He said.
"WHAT?!?" They all eclaimed.
"She was the only one to find the real finish line and cross it." He said. Seeing them still confused, he pointed to the flag that they thought said finish line. Instead, it said fin line.
"I had four of those flags, only one was real, and your friend found it." He said. Jen came into their view, her head held high and her arms holding Eevee. On her head was a headband that said "Puzzle Master".
"Not fair." Keshia said, putting heavy emphasis on the words.
"That was a lot harder than I thought. How did you know which flag was real?" Gold asked.
"I didn't, I just got lucky." Jen said.

To be honest, I expected atleast a comment from someone about that chapter.

Chapter 10: "So now that you won my challenge, you win the priize!" The trick master said.
"The year supply of pokemon food, right?" Jen asked.
"Nope, just the headband." He said, then dissappeared from sight.
"I feel dooped." Jen said.
"So do we." Gold said.
"Never mind that, atleast we don't have to lug it around. What's important now is what you are going to do with Eevee." Crystal said.
"Take her back." Jen answered simply.
"We can't keep doing that you know. If we keep backtracking between here and Slateport, we'll never get anywhere." Keshia said.
"What can we do though?" Jen asked.
"You could catch it." Gold suggested.
"Next option." Jen said.
"Just let her come with us for now, and we'll take her back after the competition." Crystal said.
"Fine." Jen said. Eevee had a big smile at that and leapt onto Jen's shoulder.
"I think she likes you." Keshia said.
"Duh." Gold said. They made their way to Maville quickly, and made it by sunset.
"Pokemon center, bed, breakfast, gym battle." Jen said.
"You do this routine way too often." Gold said.
"Yep, and I'm not changing it at all." Jen said. After getting food then a room, the group slept soundly throughout the night. The next morning, just as they were eating breakfast, a loud commotion caught their attention.
"What is that?" Jen asked. They saw a large group of trainers gathered around the tv, staring at it without blinking.
"What is going on?" Keshia asked.
"Shh! Watch!" One trainer said, then returned his attention to the screen.

"And now, the time has finally come folks! A special treat just for you, in our very own region of Hoenn, Grand champion Chris!" The announcer said. Chris went out to the stadium, but with a serious look on his face, not at all pleased by the prospect of battling like usual.

"He looks very mad about something." Gold observed.
"Shh!" A trainer said.

"Now, entering the stadium as the challenger, the man who has been making a mokery of Chris' reputation, Matthew!" The announcer said. A man of about 19 entered, only to be greeted by the booing of the crowd.

"He found the guy!" Keshia exclaimed.

"This will be a full battle, with no substitutions. The field will be set as a water area to start off, and will change when three of one trainer's pokemon are unable to battle. Begin!" The ref said.
"You're going down old man, and Vigoroth here will help me do it!" Matt said. A Vigoroth appeared onto a platform, flexing it's muscles arrogantly. Gyarados shot up and dove into the pool, popping up right infront of Vigoroth with a Hyper Beam ready. Vigoroth didn't even have time to think about being scared when Gyarados fired his attack. Vigrorth was sent flying, and didn't come down for a whole two minutes. Needless to say, it didn't get back up after that.
"That was a sneak attack, no fair!" Matt complained. Still Chris said nothing, just simply continued to stare daggers at him.
"Nothing to say huh? Silence speaks many things(...did I just write something wise? Oops. Use that, cause I'm not likely to write anything wise again). Go Espeon!" Matt said. Espeon landed on a platform, it's guard up. Gyarados went back to his pool, though he made it clear for all to see that he wanted to beat this guys up himself. Glaceon stepped out to the field, ready to battle.
"Espeon, use Giga Impact!" Matt said. Espeon charged forward, leaping across the platforms, but wasn't fast enough. Glaceon knocked a platform away, and Espeon fell straight into the water. Glaceon, not intent on stopping there, froze the field with Ice Beam.
"Espeon! Not fair, you can't change the field!" Matt complained. Never the less, Espeon, still visible in the ice, was fainted, for Glaceon had aimed her Ice Beam perfectly. Charizard melted the ice easily, and Matt recalled Espeon.
"You really are slipping in your years if you have to cheat to win." Matt said. Still no reply.
"Fine then. Go Floatzel!" Matt said. Just as Floatzel came out, Jolteon went too. Floatzel dove into the water, speeding for Jolteon. It leapt out and fired a Hydro Pump at point blank range, though the attack didn't seem to do any damage. In fact, Jolteon didn't even move an inch by the attack, and fifnished Floatzel off with a quick Thunderbolt, then went back.
"I don't know how, but I'm sure you cheated there! No pokemon has ever taken a Hydro Pump at point blank and continued to battle, let alone not get hurt at all!" Matt shouted. Chris, still silent, turned his back to him and sat down with his pokemon, patiently waiting for the next match. Five minutes later, the filed changed to a rocky terrain, and the battle resumed.
"Go Golem!" Matt said. Once Golem appeared on the field, Leafeon went out to fight.
"Golem, Earthquake!" Matt said. Golem shook the ground violently, though not enough to disturb Leafeon. A combonation of Razor Leaf and Magical Leaf took Golem out easily.
"Dang it! Stop cheating!" Matt shouted. Umbreon was next, and Matt sent out a Machoke.
"Cross Chop!" Matt said. Umbreon's Iron Tail matched every blow, and even got in a few blows. Umbreon shot a Shadow Ball right into Machoke's face, sending it falling backwards, fainted.
"That was a cheap shot!" Matt yelled. When he realized he was at one pokemon, and who was next up, his nerve left him for a second.
"You are nothing but a cheater, and I'm going to prove it with my last pokemon! Go Salamence!" Matt shouted. Charizard stomped out to the field, and blasted Salamence with a Flamethrower, fainting it on the spot.
"The battle is over! Grand Champion Chris has won!" The announcer said. Matt recalled his Salamence, then turned to Chris, his face full of anger.
"Why is it you are still champion when you keep cheating?!?" Matt yelled. Chris took his time before answering, letting Matt cool off a bit.
"I won, you lost. That's what happened. Nothing more, nothing less." Chris said. With that, he returned Gyarados and left.

Seeing as how I haven't had any comments lately, I think I need to improve my writing a bit, and to do that, I'll try and give my other characters more speaking parts, and see where that goes

Chapter 11: "It feels like forever since our last gym battle." Gold said.
"I know what you mean." Crystal said.
"Well, then, Maville gym is right there, so come on!" Keshia said. The group headed over to the gym in eager anticipation of winning their third gym badge.
"Wattson, we challenge you to a battle!" Jen said.
"About time I got a challenge. Things have been too boring here lately." Wattson said.
"Then let us help with that." Keshia said.
"Bring it on...once the ref gets here." Wattson said. After five minutes of waiting...
"Go Manetric and Ampheros!"
"It's you and me Radar!"
"We fight as one Tyrani-Eevee get off the field!" Jen exclaimed. Eevee had bolted onto the field before Jen was able to choose her pokemon.
"Is that your Eevee?" Wattson asked.
"No, not really." Jen said.
"Well it seems to me that it wants to battle for you." Wattson said.
"She is too young, and a wild one on top of that." Jen said.
"Come on and decide already! I want my third badge!" Crystal yelled.
"Jen, Radar can pick up any slack from Eevee, so just let her battle." Keshia said.
"But I don't even know her moves." Jen said.
"Well, I know Dig is one of them." Keshia said. Jen turned back to the field to see that Eevee had disappeared where a hole was.
"Oh, so that battle has started. Double Thunder!" Wattson said.
"Dark Pulse!" Keshia said quickly. Radar shot off his attack just as the dual attack was fired. The two attacks collided in mid air, and just when it looked like Radar was going to lose, Manetric and Ampheros fell through the ground, stopping their attacks in sheer surprise.
"Dark Pulse again!" Keshia said. Radar took the oppurtunity and blasted both of them with Dark Pulse.
"Nice shot, I've got to give you props for that. Double Iron Tail!" Wattson said. Manetric and Ampheros sprung up and came crashing down with Iron tail, smashing the ground with a wave of power that destroyed the floor, but nothing other than that was accomplished.
"Wait, where did that Eevee go?" Wattson asked. Looking around, Eevee was still alluding Wattson and his pokemon, but only Keshia found her, hiding on Radar then digging into the ground again.
"Use Shadow Ball!" Keshia said. Radar fired off the attack, colliding with his target.
"Manetric, use Thunder!" Wattson said. Manetric was just charging when it fell through the ground once again. On gaurd, Ampheros was ready for it and jumped away when a hole formed under it, but wasn't ready for the Shadow Ball that shot up from the newly formed hole. Ampheros crashed into the ground, fainted.
"That is one slippery young one you have there." Wattson said.
"Apparently so. Let me try something. Eevee, use...Iron Tail?" Jen said tentatively. Eevee sprang up from the hole next to Manetric and bashed it with Iron Tail.
"Wow. I didn't think that would work." Jen said, surprised.
"Finish it off with Dark Pulse!" Keshia said. Radar's attack fainted Manetric, ending the match.
"Well done. Are you sure that isn't your Eevee?" Wattson asked.
"I'm sure." Jen said. Eevee ran and jumped into Jen's arms, and fell asleep instantly.
"Fine, you earned it." Jen said.
"About time!" Gold said impatiently.
"Sorry we took so long, but know you can have your fun." Keshia said.
"Go Magneton and Electrode!"
"Go hard or go home Arcanine!"
"Game on Furry!"
"Furry?" Gold asked.
"Don't underestimate my Furret." Crystal said.
"Magneton, use Mirror Shot!" Wattson said.
"Arcinine, Flamethrower! Gold said. Arcinine's attack came far sooner than Magneton could prepare for, stopping the Mirror Shot and scorching it as well.
"Electrode, use-Electrode?" Wattson asked. Electrode was fainted, with claw marks covering it all over, and Furry was next to it looking pleased.
"Furry rules, and don't you ever forget it." Crystal said.
"Don't be too happy with your self. My Electrode has a sort of insurance policy when it faints. Magnezone, Protect!" Wattoson said. Magnezone cloaked itself in a protective barrier, and not a moment too soon, for Electrode had just blown up with Explosion.
"Arcinine!"
"Furry!" The field was covered in a smoke cloud too thick to see through. When it cleared, Arcinine was coming out of the ground in a hole, Magnezone was fainted and covered in claw marks, and Furry was very happy.
"I'll say it again. Furry rules, don't forget it. Especially now that it learned Dig." Crystal said happily.
"That wasn't Furry's hole, it was Eevee's." Jen said.
"Still though, Furry rules." Crystal said.

Before anyone says anything, I'm not over powering Furry, I'm going somewhere with this.

Chapter 12: "Hey Crystal, I think something is a little off about Furry." Jen said. The group was enjoying a victory lunch at the pokemon center, enjoying their third win.
"What do you mean off?" Crystal asked.
"When Furry beat Electrode and Magneton, that seemed too fast for a Furret." Jen said.
"Where are you going with this?" Crystal asked.
"I think Jen thinks Furry has an element move." Keshia said.
"That would explain the speed and power of those attacks." Gold said.
"As great as my Furry having an element move would be, I think she is just a lot stronger than you all thought." Crystal said.
"Only one way to check. Use your Pokedex." Jen said. Crystal pulled out her Pokedex and checked out Furry's status.

Pokemon: Furret
Nickname: Furry
Gender: Female
Moves: Slash, Fury Swipes, Headbutt, ???

"What do you mean ??? ?" Crystal asked.
"That settles it, she has an element move." Gold said.
"Well then, I knew my Furry would learn one eventually. She rules. Now, what to call it." Crystal pondered, thinking of many names, but few came to mind that were decent.
"What about temporarily calling it Flash Fury and see how that goes?" Jen suggested.
"Has a nice ring to it, so sure. For now." Crystal said.
I wonder how these pokemon keep learning element moves Gallade said.
Because their trainers have a close bond with them Jen replied.
So then, why haven't any of Keshia's pokemon learned element moves? Gallade asked. This question took a while for Jen to reply.
I don't know Jen said.
Well, we have plenty of time, and we haven't rained in a while, so why not try and fix that today? Gallade said.
"Hey guys, I think we should have a training day today, and set off for Lavaridge tomorrow." Jen said.
"Sure, I'm game." Gold said.
"About time we got down to training again." Keshia said.
"Can't wait to train for our next gym battle." Crystal said. Heading outside, they found a clear grassy area, perfect for training.
"Game on everyone!"
"Go hard or go home everyone!"
"It's you and me everybody!"
"We fight as one guys! Eevee, maybe you had better sit this one out. These pokemon are very experienced." Jen said, picking up Eevee. After a little struggle, Eevee fell asleep in her arms.
"I'm starting to both feel a little flattered and insulted that I put her to sleep so easily." Jen said.
"Come on, pair up and get ready to train." Keshia said.
"Actually Keshia, I want to try and spend today trying to get one of your pokemon an element move." Jen said.
"Sure, okay." Keshia said.
"So Gold, I guess it's your team against mine." Crystal said.
"Get ready to lose Crystal!" Gold said. While those two went at it, Jen and Keshia paired up their pokemon as well.
"Cinder, show Flareon your Nova Mirror. Flareon can't do Meteor Wing without any wings, so that is the best candidate." Jen said. Cinder's tail flame shot up to dangerous heights, then folded over him, encircling him in a protective fire barrier.
"I don't think Flareon can do that." Keshia said.
"Well, we have more to try." Jen said.
"Not much though. You have fire, grass, water, electric and rock type moves. I have a fire, grass, ice, dark and water type." Keshia said.
"Well then, we might have a small problem." Jen said.
"Hold on, I seem to recall the other pokemon learning them by themselves, not after being taught different ones, right? So if my pokemon learn element moves, they will learn them by themselves." Keshia said.
"Fine, I won't try to help you. But anyway, we still have to train. Come on, my Luxio against your Radar." Jen said.
"Bring it on Jen!" Keshia said. Luxio and Radar walked up to face each other, both confident in their victory.
"Luxio, use Thunderbolt!" Jen said.
"Counter with Dark Pulse!" Keshia said.Dark Pulse and Thunderbolt collided in midair, causing an explosion of smoke.
"Charge Beam!" Jen said. Through the smoke, Luxio's electric beam struck Radar on the side, and again on the other. It was then that a pitch black aura surrounded Radar, then exploded outwards, blasting the smoke away. He charged up the aura again, then focused it into a point at the end of his tail. He struck his tail on the ground, burrying it. Within seconds, a series of black spikes errupted out of the ground, first in front of Radar, each one directly infront of the other, until it was about to come up from under Luxio.
"Get out of the way!" Jen shouted. Luxio bolted to the side, just barely avoiding a dark spire shooting up. Just when she thought she was safe, another dark spire shot up from under her and sent Luxio flying. Radar, seeing a chance, shot a Shadow Ball at Luxio.
"Storm Blast!" Jen said. A lightning strike intercepted the Shadow Ball, and Luxio landed safely. More bolts of electricity struck Luxio, and soon a ball of electricity formed infront of Luxio, and the attack was fired. Radar, weakened already from using his new move, fainted from the attack.
"Well then, on down, four more left to learn a move." Jen said happily.
"Yeah, but what to call it?" Keshia asked.
"Your pokemon, you should name it." Jen said.
"Alright, let me think...I like Shadow Spire, what do you think?" Keshai asked.
"Perfect name." Jen said.

Sorry about the length, I thought it would be longer, but here you go

Glad you like the name

Chapter 13: After a hard day training, the group headed back to the pokemon center and slept soundly. The next day, while eating breakfast, Nurse Joy approached them.
"Excuse me, but there is a call for Crystal and Jen." Nurse Joy said.
"Really? I wonder who's calling us." Jen said. Both of them went to the phone, each taking their calls.
"Wait, what do you mean? No, I won't. I'm in the middle of Hoenn right now, I'd never make it in time even if I wanted to. I don't care. Let someone else deal with it. I said I don't care! I know, I can't believe it either, now goodbye." Crystal said, hanging up.
"What was that about?" Gold asked.
"Get this, the Sinnoh leageu officials wanted me to report back to Sinnoh for some challenger." Crystal said.
"Why? I thought that the challengers went to Chris." Keshia said.
"That's the weirdest part. I was told that he has put a stop on all his matches, just so he could go explore the new Unova region." Crystal said.
"No way!" Keshia said, alarmed.
"Guess we won't get to see any of his matches for a while." Gold said.
"Yeah, guess not." Keshia said. Jen got off her phone and went back to the others.
"Jen, do you know why your dad stopped battling? I was told it was because he wanted to explore Unova." Crystal said.
"Yep. But not only that, he is going to try and compete in the Unova League." Jen said.
"But I thought he already beat the champion of that league." Keshia said.
"So did he, but he was told later that he only battled a regular trainer who posed to be the Unova champion." Jen said.
I can't believe he left without me Gallade said.
Don't worry, when I go, you can come with me Jen said.
"So, when is he going to leave?" Keshia asked.
"As soon as I get my Gallade back." They all jumped a bit, still not used to Chris sneaking up behind them.
"Really wish you would stop doing that." Gold said.
"Sorry, just can't resist. Anyways, Jen I came to get Gallade back, that okay?" Chris asked.
"If it is alright with him." Jen said.
I'm ready to go anytime you are Gallade said eagerly.
"Sorry I'm taking him, but I really want all my friends to be with me on this journey." Chris said.
"No problem. Oh yeah, I'd like to talk to you about this little Eevee here." Jen said, picking Eevee up.
"What about her?" Chris asked.
"She wouldn't stay behind with her friends and instead decided to follow me around, but I don't know what to do about her." Jen said.
"I say keep her for now, then decide." Chris said.
"Alright. Good luck in Unova." Jen said.
"Thanks. See ya kiddo. Come on Gallade." Chris said. He and Gallade exited the pokemon center, rushing to their new journey.
"I give him a month before he has all his badges." Gold said.
"Hold on, not even he is that fast. It takes time to get from place to place, and he's probably going to stop to see the new pokemon. I say three to four months." Crystal said.
"Knowing him, that sounds about right." Jen said.
"Anyways, come on. We'd better get going to Lavaridge for our next badge." Gold said.
"Lavaridge. I'll give you three guesses to guess the type of pokemon gym there, first two don't count." Jen said.
"Fire. It's a no brainer." Keshia said.
"Then come on, I want to get there before Chris beats the Unova League." Gold said.
"Okay okay! He really needs to calm down." Keshia said.

If it seems like I'm rushing the story from this point on, I'm sorry, but I just want to end this story soon, it has been unfinished for far too long

Chapter 14: "We have to cross over this volcano, don't we?" Crystal asked.
"Yep. Only way to get to Lavaridge." Jen said. Standing infront of them loomed the giant volcano, all of them apprehensive to start traveling.
"Well, Lavaridge won't come to us, so lets go." Keshia said.
"Alright. But I hope it doesn't erupt." Gold said.
"It won't erupt, don't worry." Jen said.
"Are we going or not? Come on!" Keshia said, though not eagerly.
"Fine." Jen sighed. They tretched up the volcano path, looking around then to observe the area. It was a few hours later before they finally reached the point where they started their descent, though it was mid-afternoon and they were all hungry after the climb.
"I know I don't usually say this, but maybe we should wait to have lunch." Keshia said.
"That's not fair to the pokemon though." Gold said.
"I don't want to be the one to tell them they have to eat lunch on a volcano, do you?" Keshia asked.
"She makes a good point Gold. I don't know what to do though. If we don't eat, it's not fair to the pokemon. If we do, it's not fair either." Jen said.
"What do you think Crystal? Crystal?" Gold looked around, unable to find Crystal.
"There she is." Keshia said. She pointed to the path heading down, and saw Crystal making her way calmly to Lavaridge.
"Guess she's decided for us." Jen said, following her.
"Glad she chose that, this heat is killing me." Keshia said. After an hour and a half, they were surprised to plants growing at the base of the volcano.
"Well, I guess this is a good place to have a late lunch." Jen said. They set up the food and let out their pokemon.
About time we got something to eat Luxio said.
Would you rather have eaten ontop of a volcano? Jen asked.
No Luxio sighed. Once the food was distributed, Eevee jumped onto Jen's lap and ate her food.
"Crystal has Furry, Keshia has Glaceon, and Jen has Eevee. I'm left out." Gold said.
"If any of your pokemon tried to do what ours do, you'd be crushed." Keshia said.
"Fair enough." Gold said. A rustling in the bushes caught everyone's attention, ready for whatever would come at them. And it's a good thing they were prepared. A Skarmory shot out of the bushes with lightning fast speed, tearing through the pokemon and snatching there food as well. By the time the pokemon blinked, their food was gone, and boy were they mad. Cinder, Serafina and Arcanine managed to catch a glimpse of where Skarmory flew, and quickly went to get it.
"Hold on!" Crystal said.
"Wait for the rest of us!" Keshia said. Along with their pokemon, they ran as fast as they could, trying to catch up with Cinder, Serafina and Arcanine. When they finally stopped, they saw Skarmory perched on a rock, glaring at them.
"Wait, wheres the food that it stole?" Gold asked, panting.
"It couldn't have eaten it all, could it?" Crystal asked.
"I think it did! Oh man, that was a bad call." Keshia said.
"Our pokemon don't take lightly to thieves, especially when their food gets stolen." Jen said. Skarmory showed no signs of regret for it's actions. In fact, it smirked at them and laughed at bit. Before another word was said, a frenzy of attacks hit Skarmory simultaniously, causing a giant explosion that knocked everyone back quite a bit. When the smoke cleared and the dust settled, Skarmory was, miraculously, still in one piece, but fainted.
"Overkill, don't you guys think?" Jen chasticed.
"Overkill is underrated. It stole their food then mocked them, what else did you think would happen?" Gold asked. While they were going back and forth on the matter, a pokeball was thrown and captured the Skarmory.
"Who threw it?" Crystal asked. Keshia went over and retrieved her pokeball, holding it up for them to see she threw it.
"Why did you catch it?" Jen asked.
"Someone needs to teach it some manners, plus I need a flying type." Keshia said.
"Okay, but try and keep it under control from now on." Gold said.
"Skarmory stole all the food we had, so we will have to stock up in Lavaridge. Luckily, we aren't that far away." Jen said.
"Then come on. Sooner we get their, sooner we can feed our pokemon and ourselves. Skarmory stole our food too." Gold said.
"What?!?" Keshia exclaimed.
"Well, food won't fall from the sky, so let's go." Crystal said, already walking to Lavaridge.
"She doesn't waist time, does she?" Keshia asked.

Chapter 15: "Lavaridge, we're finally here!" Crystal said happily. Now entering the town of Lavaridge, the group immediately heads for the pokemon center. Once there, a large group of trainers were gathered around a television set, all eyes glued to the screen.
"I can't wait to see his next match!" One trainer said excitedly.
"Same here!" Another said.
"What are you all so eager to see?" Jen asked, approaching the small crowd.
"Champion Chris's match of course, what else?" A trainer responded without looking away.
"You guys didn't hear?" Keshia asked.
"Shh! It's starting!"

"Now entering the stadium, the challenger who goes by the name of Kevin from Saffron city!" Boomed the announcer. A young teenager entered the stadium, both confidence and nervousness clear on his face.
"And the one you've been waiting for, your favorite and mine, Grand Champion Chris!" The announcer roared. All eyes in the stadium turned to the opposite side of the stadium, and their eager smiles turned to confused, and in some cases frustrated frowns as Cynthia entered to face the teen.
"What a minute, thats not the Champion, that's Cynthia! What is she doing here?" The announcer asked. The ref, also confused, walked over to her and talked with her. After some conversing, the ref went back to his spot and had someone send a message to the announcer.
"Uh huh, oh okay. Ladies and gentlemen, Grand Champion Chris has left on a journey, leaving Cynthia to take his place in any and all matches until his return." The announcer said. A roar of protests erupted from the crowd, both angry and sad that Chris wasn't in the match. Once the noise settled down, almost half the stadium got up and left, seeing no point in being here if Chris wasn't.

"I can't believe this!"
"He's gone?!?"
"Now who are we going to watch?" Cries of disappointment and frustration also came from the pokemon center the group was in, growing louder by the minute until finally a few Chansey came out and calmed them down by putting them to sleep.
"Wow, they need lives." Jen said.
"Jen, you just don't know how big of a deal your dad really is. He is the only trainer in history to be champion for this long, and people have just always expected him to be in that stadium, keeping his title. Having that change, I'd imagine it wouldn't be widely excepted." Keshai said.
"Guess so. Anyways, we didn't come to Lavaridge town just to talk about this, now did we? Come on, we have to go and challenge Flannery." Jen said.
"We can't." Gold said.
"Why not?" Crystal asked.
"Because she is right there on the floor, sleeping. She was in the crowd when Chansey put them all to sleep." Gold explained.
"Gym leaders too?" Jen asked.
"See? He's a big deal." Keshia said.
"Yeah, but now what are we going to do?" Jen asked.
"Um...want to look around the town for a while?" Crystal asked.
"Fine, I guess there isn't anything else we can do." Jen sighed. After a few hours of touring around Lavaridge, the group went back to the center to grab their dinner, and they were just in time to see the crowd waking up.
"Wow, I had a wierd dream that the Champion wasn't going to be in any matches for a long time." A trainer said.
"That wasn't a dream, sorry." Keshia said.
"I didn't think that would work. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to find something else to occupy my time." She said, then left. Similar reactions were had by the other trainers, and soon the only ones in the center were the group and Flannery, just now waking up.
"Oh hi there. What happened?" Flannery asked.
"Some Chansey came out and put the crowd to sleep using Sing, and you must have gotten caught in it." Gold explained.
"Really? Well then, I'd better be more careful. A gym leader has to be on guard, and that was rather clumsy of me." Flannery chuckled.
"Well, if you're feeling better, we challenge you to a gym battle!" Jen said.
"Actually, isn't it a bit late for a battle?" Flannery said.
"Yeah, I guess so. Fine, we'll have it tomorrow then." Jen said.
"That's fine with me. Alright, I'm off now. See you tomorrow." Flannery said, then she left the pokemon center.
"Excuse me, is there a Jen here?" Nurse Joy asked.
"That's me. How can I help you?" Jen asked.
"You have a call from the Unova region." Nurse Joy said.
"Really? Thanks." Jen said before rushing to recieve the call.
"Hey dad." Jen said.
"Hey kiddo. I've already gotten my first badge, and I just want you to know that this region has triple battles. Wasn't hard, but it was a new experience." Chris said.
"Of course it wasn't hard for you." Jen said.
"Alright, I've got to go. Oh, and one more thing, I'll be coming back with a new friend I made here." Chris said, then hung up.
"New friend?" Jen wondered.
