Default Is pokemon over LP'd?

This may sound like a opinion, but look at the pokemon LP's on youtube. (there's a lot to me) I'm just wondering what you think.

I would say so since its not really interesting to watch, frankly. Its heavily text-inspired which most LPs skip through. Mario, especially say Sunshine, is much, much more interesting to watch.

A lot of amateur LPers think that Pokemon is a good starting point for some reason, so there's a lot of Pokemon LPs that don't get done. I'd like to do an Emerald LP just because I haven't seen a lot of people take a good stab at it. On top of that, big names like Chuggaaconroy hardly touch Pokemon at all; As an example, Chuggaa only played through FireRed and Crystal, whereas the other RPGs he played where MOTHER/Paper Mario.

It's certainly overdone, but a majority of them (I'm counting EVERY LP and then putting them into a pool) aren't that great.

The best games to LP have little text. They provide more room for the player to speak and be entertaining, which is why I think Pokémon LPs are usually kind of bland. For that reason and their abundance, I'd say Pokémon is definitely overdone.

Yeah, it is. When HG/SS came out, there were like 100 LPs for it. It's like Mario. The only interesting one I found were chuggaaconroy's, and no, I'm not a fanboy, I just like his commentary, and think he's more funny and makes it less boring than people who don't even have commentary. His Crystal LP made me laugh a lot. But to answer the question, it's a yes. Just search "Let's Play Pokemon" and see how many results you'll get.

I agree there are way to many LP's of pokemon games and we really lack walkthroughs of RSE compared to the other games.

Well I would admit yes.

But it is how the LP is played. 75% of poke LPs are well very bad.

But I think OoT is another big over done LP
