Region X;Iceberg Keep: A location from my RP 'Missing'. A giant lake, filled with icebergs. A couple even resemble battlefields! Ice and Water type moves get a +20 and +10 bonus to attack strength respectively. Dig is unable to be used. Non-Special moves usually miss, unless used by Ice or Water type pokemon. Fire type moves make the battlefield smaller by melting the icebergs. Pokemon that can use Dive can hide underneath the water.

Piplup started running around the icy lake. He was very agile and had no problem jumping from iceberg to iceberg.
Soon he started moving faster, creating multiple clones of him. There were three of them, and all were a result of his ability, Illusion.

He knew that, even if he had clones, he would still not be safe. So he took extra precautions and started focusing on his energy. he was waiting.. waiting for the perfect moment.

Piplup ran straight towards the little fox. He was well adapted to this arena, seeing as how she grew up in the cold, arctic sea. He swam a while in the freezing water, gaining speed for his attack. Then, all of a sudden, he shot straight out at Prussia, her beak circling like a drill.
He hit the Zorua, but was bounced back by an incredible force. Zorua's eyes gleamed, Detect had protected him.
(Piplup: -6 Energy)

Zorua smirked at the Piplup. He was so gullible for attacking him.
Zorua took a deep breath of air, relaxing his muscles and his mind. He bounced on his feet, gracefully jumping across the icebergs, his clones following him. He was moving at such incredible speeds!
He slid down icebergs shaped like huge warships, practically glided across the water, and hopped all over the ice.
He stopped abruptly, his speed was boosted, making him faster.

Piplup seemed frustrated at this dark fox. She started charging all her energy, channeling it into the wind. The wind grew fast and hard with snow and ice from all over.
Piplup aimed this strong wind at the Zoruas. He had no knowledge as to which was real, so he picked one at random.
He hit a dark fox, causing a puff of smoke to form. It was a clone!

Prussia could feel the impending doom throughout the cold, quiet battle field. He had noticed the waves crashing harder against the rocks and the wind picking up.
Prussia closed his eyes, creating a protective barrier around him and his two clones.
Zorua: -6 Energy; PROTECTED from next move

Piplup stared at the cold sea waves for a long while. She seemed to be agitating them, causing them to kick up a stir. The wind grew colder and harder, picking up waves and making them larger. Both Prussia and his clones stepped back a bit. They knew this penguin meant business.
Piplup stomped both his feet on the ground, letting out a large war cry as he sent a tall, humongous wave towards the dark foxes.

The waves crashed hard on them, scattering the foxes all over the cold arctic ice.
Although they were sent flying, they were safe from all damage...
Piplup: -10 Energy

The three foxes' protective auras soon vanished with the wind. They stepped in large puddles of water, drenching their toes and legs in them. They knew that they could potentially slip on the drenched ice, so they both ran for high land.
Each one of them found battleships to gain height on. The clones went on two smaller ones surround the block of land Piplup was on, and Prussia went on a large Battleship one behind Piplup.
All three of them carefully slid down the ice, sneaking up on the poor penguin. They hid behind large ice rocks, charging powerful orbs of dark matter.
Then, out of nowhere, all three of them shot the orbs at Piplup, leaving him in a dark, nightmarish daze.
Zorua: -7 Energy Piplup: -10 Health; -1 ACCURACY

Piplup awoke from the shadowy daze, the weak sunlight momentarily blinding her. She looked around, unable to see. Both the attacks and the quick transition from dark blackness to light left her vision blurred.
She ran towards the three little foxes, her left arm in the air forming a karate chop. She found one behind a rock that didn't noticed her. She jumped up into the air, slamming her hand into the fox's head.
The fox fell on the floor in a daze.
Piplup let out a squeal of joy. He had hit the right one!

Prussia stood there, ready for the attack from the beginning! Okay, I'm ready. Prussia closed his eyes and tried to sense Piplup's movements. I can feel him moving! He is running toward me! Piplup is getting closer, dodge now! Prussia threw himself towards the crystal clear lake to dodge the move. But wait... when he opened his eyes, Prussia just saw Piplup sitting. He must have sense something else.

This was tiring!The trainer wouldn't understand how tiring this battling stuff is! Gosh, I need a rest! GAH! "Calm down Piplup, Its okay. Just Chill." Piplup took deep breaths inhaling, exhaling, inhaling, and exhaling. This was better, yes. Lets just sit down here and relax. Piplup put his bum on the ground and calm down a bit.
(Piplup: +6 Energy; Detect had no effect.)

It was time for Agility. Prussia's feet shifted into a sprint, He was already fast, but as he ran towards Piplup he got faster. As he got closer he kept dis- and reappearing one after another. It was like a messed up Double Team! When Prussia got to Piplup he started circling him. Faster, and faster. Now all you could see was a black blur around the poor Piplup. Prussia kicked up some dust too, and made "wooshing" sounds all at the same time. It was like a never ending cyclone! Faster then ever, Prussia "appeared" Back at the stance he started in, this time panting a little.

The curious Piplup opened his navy blue eyes and looked around, nothing much, it was as if nothing had happened. Now for my next move, thought Piplup. He started vibrating a little, enough to create a blur. It was a rather fun move to watch. As the blur strengthened, 3 more Piplups ran out of the blur. They were creating a devious giggle. They ran in circles around each other confusing Prussia about which one is the really one.

Prussia and his clones started running laps around Piplup. Piplup looked at them, confused as to what this "ritual" they were doing was.
They seemed to get faster and faster with every lap, until they almost vanished in the air. This made Piplup dizzy watching them all, and her head started to spin. Then, out of nowhere, Prussia jumped out of the running clones and attacked!
He sent a strong, powerful kick full of shadow-like energy into the penguin's head. Prussia chuckled as he hit the Piplup, but his face shriked in horror as he saw the penguin vanish with smoke.
'Twas a clone!
Zorua: -7 Energy Piplup: -1 Clone; 2 remaining

Piplup lapsed into a state of laughter as he saw the Zorua's dumbfounded look. These clones were a real great idea!
Piplup ran towards Prussia and his clones. They were all on different places; one on an icy rock, one on a platform in the sea, and one one a small ship of ice.
Piplup decided to go for the closest one, which was the one on the icy rock. Using her small, stubby feet, she leaped into the air, her hands formed into a karate chop. She brought this hand straight down on the Zorua's head. The Zorua gasped as he hit him, but he soon vanished into the air.
Piplup: -7 Energy Zorua: -1 Clone; 1 remaining

Piplup grew mad at this cunning foxes' tricks, and he really wanted to give it to them.
The angrier he became, the hotter he was. His head soon started forming beads of sweat, and his whole body was soon sweating. This was unlike usual sweat, though. It was thick and purple, and it stank like garbage. Piplup touched the purple substance, which proved to be a toxic substance. He then sent all this poison towards Prussia, the dark little fox.
Piplup: -7 Energy

Zorua watched as a wave of toxic chemicals came rushing towards him. He didn't know what to do, and started panicking. His breathing became faster, and he was soon running around, jumping from platform to platform, ice block to ice block. This seemed worthwhile though. Prussia soon started growing faster, gaining speed every second. This allowed him to outspeed the toxic, and jump out of the way!

Prussia began running around the arena. He was running real fast, trying to increase his body heat. Sooner than later, he was starting to work up a cold sweat from all the running. Despite his efforts, the cold atmosphere seemed to cool him down faster than he could stay warm.
He decided to just deal with the little body heat he had and attack. Prussia began forming a fireball in his mouth. This ball illuminated the field with it's dim orange light.
Prussia then blew a blzing hot stream of fire towards Piplup, singing the little penguin.
Zorua: -4 Energy Piplup: -2 Health

Piplup shrugged the fire off like nothing. It had hardly left any burns to him thanks to his resistance to fire. The small fox seemed shocked that Piplup was hardly even hurt by the attack.
Piplup started to ooze some sort of thick, purple goop from his pores. This goop had a horrible smell, and seemed out-of-the-ordinary. The poison dripped off of Piplup, forming small puddles of toxic liquid on the ice. Piplup scooped a ball of this into his hand, getting ready to attack.
He rushed towards the fox, getting ready to slap him with this attack. Piplup hit one of the foxes in the head, sending him flying with a load of toxins on his head.
Poof!
He disappeared into the air as she hit him. 'Twas a clone...
Piplup: -6 Energy Zorua: -1 Clone

Prussia shook his head at what had just happened. He was saved from a lethal toxin, yet he lost a faithful clone in the process.
With only one other clone at his side, Prussia ran towards Piplup, ready to give him the hurt of his life. The clone jumped in the air, sending a small ball of dark energy towards the ice. This ball hit the ice, sending a cloud of smoke through the arena. Piplup coughed and wheezed as he used all his might to escape.
Using his sneaky, ninja like tendencies, Prussia jumped out of the smoke, hitting Piplup right on the head. He sent the penguin flying, but gasped in shock as it disappeared with a poof!
Zorua: -7 Energy Piplup: -1 Clone

Piplup and his clones giggled as they watched the fox step back in horror from the smoke. The penguins all then decided to gang up on the fox and his defenseless clone. They all began creeping up on Prussia, their hands up in the air, ready for a karate chop.
Piplup then jumped up into the air, his hand slamming down hard on the air. The Zorua tried to jump out of the way, but he had wasted too much time. He was hit right on the back, sending him crashing through the ice.
But the attack proved to be useless. For now Prussia had lost all his clones, yet emerged unharmed.

Prussia began to monitor Piplup's movements again. Keeping a very vigilant eye upon the little penguin, he estimated his opponent's next attack, and crouched down, on the ready to protect itself from whatever may come his way. Prussia smiled, confident that nothing that Piplup could do would get past his vigilance.
(Zorua: -6 Energy, Protected from next move)

Piplup went in for another shot at Brick Break, only to fail again as the ready Zorua jumped out of the way. Thus, Detect had rendered Piplup's attacks useless, and he could only watch as the nimble and agile Zorua leaped away gracefully from Piplup's fists. After a few more futile attempts, Piplup panted and squatted down. Things were getting tough for the penguin.
(Piplup: -6 Energy)

Prussia knew it was time for another smashing attack. He began to build up a large amount of purely black energy from deep within his body. The energy began to reverberate through the frosty air; even Piplup could feel it from far away. But there was an issue - there were two Piplups staring right back at him. He had to concentrate - which Piplup was the real one? He stared closely at the two Piplups before he fired away with the ball of dark energy - it landed in between the two, but a single Piplup flew out of the cloud of smoke. Prussia watched intently...until the figure poofed into thin air. He had hit a clone, and Piplup had escaped unscathed!
(Attack MISSED, Zorua: -7 Energy, Piplup: -1 Clone, no clones remaining)

Unlike before, the Piplup had the Zorua right where he wanted him - he was still recovering from missing, so now was the prime time to strike with poison! Piplup formed a slimy mass in between its hands, and fired a chunk of it at Prussia. Prussia, unable to react in time, was slammed hard by the chunky slime. Piplup danced in triumph, he may have just earned the upper hand!

Pupi didn't have much energy left to attack, but he knew that the going was going to be rough for the next few turns. Anticipating an attack from Prussia, Pupi began to form a protective barrier around him, protecting him from any damage for the rest of this turn. Hopefully, it would hurt Prussia more than it did him in terms of energy...

Prussia, unaware that Pupi had protected itself, went in for the attack! Building up even more dark energy within himself, he let loose a destructive dark energy towards his opponent. It was all for naught, however; the energy was knocked back by Pupi's protective barrier, thus keeping him safe! As Prussia angrily growled in disappointment, his poison acted up again. His stomach began to churn, and it caused a great deal of pain...

Prussia wouldn't have this. He concentrated deeply into his opponent's eyes, and made sure that Pupi couldn't get an attack in on him.

Pupi noticed that Prussia's concentration was extremely centered on Pupi's movements. Snickering, Pupi knew how to manipulate this little chance he had. He began to make copies of himself, thus throwing the black fox's concentration way off! Running at intense speeds, 4 clones were formed, all just like Pupi! Prussia couldn't tell which one was real, and which ones were fake! But all of them had one thing in common that worked well for Prussia - Piplup was running low on energy!

Prussia's energy was definitely not at its highest ever. His legs were trembling under him, and he could barely keep his head up. Nonetheless, if they were going to get anything done, they were going to have to take a run for their money. Once again, Prussia formed a large, purple orb within his mouth, and took aim at the also weakened Piplup. Making sure that his head didn't drop before he could attack, Prussia glared straight into Pupi's eyes. Right on target, Prussia fired the massive purple blob, connecting with the enemy and sending Pupi for a loop! Still, Prussia knelt when he felt the effects of poison occurring once again, however, the pain and nausea felt much more acute and painful than before. Feeling dizzy and queasy, Prussia lay down and panted.
(Piplup: -10 Health, Zorua: -7 Energy, -8 Health from poison, BADLY POISONED for 2 more turns)

Pupi couldn't take much more of this punishment. With energy way down, Pupi had to take a brief rest. Pupi tried to make itself as comfortable as it could in the frigid water, but it was in its element, Pupi felt a lot more at ease.

As Pupi resurfaced, he found Prussia monitoring its every move. Making sure to detect all moves, Prussia made sure that it could survive to see Pupi fall to Prussia's mighty strength, but to do so, he'd have to conserve his own health. He stared down the penguin, but something was very different this time around; Prussia couldn't quite keep up with Pupi's uncouth swift movements! Dizzy and still damaged by poison, Prussia shook his head to get all of the bad sensations out of his head. However, it was no use; Pupi had disappeared from sight!
(Zorua: Detect FAILED, -7 Energy, -9 Health from poison, BADLY POISONED for 1 more turn)

All of the sudden, Prussia turned around to find that Pupi had gone underwater and come up to strike! Making a fist, Pupi dived towards Prussia and smashed him with a fist across the face. Prussia was knocked hard, sending him sliding across the glacier and almost into the water. Pupi stared intently as his opponent got up. "It's the beginning of the end, it seems..." Pupi thought.

It was all or nothing with these next attacks! Prussia went in for the kill, with Night Daze as his weapon of choice. He fired away, sending the dark purple beam of power towards the struggling penguin. It slammed into him hard; but what was this? Pupi slammed around and about on the floor; what luck! It was a critical hit! Prussia would've celebrated, but his energy was all but depleted, but he was still standing; with barely enough energy to keep balance!
(Piplup: -17 Health, Zorua: -7 Energy, -10 Health from poison, no longer BADLY POISONED)

Pupi was apprehensive. Trying to conserve as much energy as possible, he lied down on the ground and rested quietly to replenish his health.

Prussia had one more shot, for he knew that this last attack would destroy him. He prepared one more Night Daze and fired it; almost in response, Prussia flew backwards to the force of the beam, causing himself to slip and fall, fainted due to lack of energy. The beam once again connected with the enemy, sending Pupi into the water. Pupi struggled his way back onto the glacier, but was cold and weakened. Exhaustion was getting the better of the penguin, just like it had gotten the better of Prussia.

Revya was much faster than the stubby-legged Pupi, and further nimble. Revya saw how weakened Pupi had become in its fight with Prussia; thus, endurance was all-important. He kept a close eye on Pupi, and determined his movements before he made them.

Pupi waddled his way closer to Revya to get a better aim at the Pokemon. Pupi created a terrifyingly frigid beam within his mouth. He fired away, but Revya expertly dodged it, thanks to Detect. Pupi kept firing, but with repetitive dodges, Pupi couldn't land a hit. It dealt a serious deterrence to his own energy, and Pupi began to pant heavily.

Revya dashed towards Pupi with great speed. Even Pupi was astounded; Revya had some serious speed, much like Prussia. Pupi didn't know if he'd be able to keep up with Revya's speed. The Riolu jumped into the air, slammed his palm onto Pupi, and released a huge amount of energy. Pupi flew backwards, landing on his back. He was down for the count!

Pupi slowly got up; very slowly, Pupi was running out of time. With barely enough energy for the turn, he fired Ice Beam once again, and much to his satisfaction, he finally managed to hit the target right on the money! There was something different this time...Revya suddenly stopped moving! It was a miraculous discovery to see that the Riolu had been frozen solid! Encased in ice, Revya was unable to move! Maybe this could buy him some time to rest...

Revya was totally encased in ice, left totally defenseless. Revya, within the ice, was trying his hardest to break free, but the ice was far to sturdy and refused to give way. Riolu even tried to attack the ice with Force Palm, but his hands couldn't move!

Pupi was far too exhausted to do anything this turn, so he was called back into its Pokeball, where he could rest a while and slowly revitalize. In the meantime, Kichu came out, fully ready for combat!

Revya sighed. Now he had to deal with a new opponent. But he noticed, as he was peering at the electric mouse, his previous Force Palm attack had created a small slit in the ice. Taking his fist, he made one quick movement, shattering the ice! Before Kichu could react, Revya kept his eyes open and focused on Kichu, as she stared in wonder at Revya.

Kichu didn't know why Revya was glaring at her in such a way. Nonetheless, the Pikachu charged up all the electricity in its tail and fired away at Revya. However, with an expert dodge, Revya flipped away and dodged each lightning bolt that Kichu fired. Kichu was annoyed; all that, and she couldn't even hit him!

Kichu's nimble feet allowed for her to move quite fast. It wasn't long before Revya found it extremely difficult to keep track of Kichu's movements, and, much to his disliking, he now stood face to face with four Kichus, all staring back at them with their happy smiles. Revya groaned; hitting them would be much more difficult now.

Revya had to pick his targets right now, considering the speed of the electric mice and his relating time to choose his course of action. The best idea he could come up with was...pick one and hope he hit the right one. He picked the Kichu furthest to the right, and dashed towards it. Then, something worse occured: the four Kichus jumped around in a disorderly ruckus and, before long, the order in which they stood changed. Revya disregarded it and continued to attack. He slammed the Kichu with his fist, releasing a huge amount of energy in one shot. However, the Kichu didn't disappear - Revya grinned: even in such adversity, he managed to hit the right one! Another success was seen later; as Kichu got up, she found it difficult to move. Revya cheered for another success - Kichu had been successfully paralyzed!
(Pikachu: -7 Health, PARALYZED for 5 turns, Riolu: -6 Energy)

Now that Revya managed to gain the upper hand in speed, he kept concentrating on Kichu's movements. Though he had lost track of which Kichu was the real one in their moving around, he was ready to take all attacks they threw at him.

Kichu wasn't liking where things were going. Still, she had to overcome her paralysis. Using it to her advantage, she huddled all of the clones together, and using the static electricity from the paralysis, they generated an acute amount of electricity. The all fired erratically at Revya, but Revya had the speed needed to dodge all of their attacks.

Kichu knew the attack she was preparing didn't guarantee a hit, but she was willing to take her chances. She closed her eyes and clenched her fists for a couple moments, as a giant cloud began to loom over the Reyva. Oh, this can't end well... thought the unfortunate Riolu. Kichu released all of the tension she had harnessed, and a the thundercloud rained down a massive bolt of electricity.

Reyva just stood there for a little bit, looking down at the ground with his body seeming a little limp, as though he could collapse at any moment. Kichu let her curiosity and confusion get the best of her, and she, or one of her clones for all Reyva knew, got close to Reyva to check what was up. Hehehe...that's it...come closer...
When Kichu got close enough, he lunged out with his palm at her, but to his shock and dismay, he impaled her with his arm. Moments later, though, Kichu disappeared in a puff of smoke. Another clone down.

Result: CLONE DOWN! Kichu has 2 clones remaining.

Kichu saw another of her clones disappear into thin air, and looked at her two remaining ones. I need to be careful with these last two. I'll throw up a shield to-- UGH! Kichu's muscles suddenly tightened up and she almost screamed in pain! There was no chance of movement at this point.

Keyva was starting to catch on to the way things are going. As convenient as it would be for him to land a hit on the real Kichu, he'll be back on top once he gets rid of the other two clones. He noticed one of them cringing in pain-- obviously an effect of paralysis. He was just about to make his move when he thought Wait...I need to get rid of the clones first... Keyva glared at what he had figured was the real Kichu, and without a backward glance suddenly lunged at the clone behind him and made short work of it.

Kichu and Reyva are now stuck to the ground! They can still use Special Attacks that do not require movement, but they can also free themselves by taking a turn to do so. ANY MOVE THAT REQUIRES APPROACHING THE OPPONENT IN THIS STATE WILL FAIL.

Kichu was advised to use Iron Tail to free herself. An excellent idea, she felt, if she could even move to pull it off. It was all she could do to work through the searing pain in her muscles to clench her tail. It was as hard as iron, and she struggled to smash it against the ice. Success!

Kichu was lucky enough to get a solid hit of Thunder off last time, but could she possibly pull it off again? It was worth a try to her. She focused for a moment, getting ready to push herself past this paralysis one more time, when suddenly she felt so much pain it blinded her for a moment. She fell on all fours, panting and still wincing at such horrible pain, but then she felt absolutely nothing. The paralysis had faded.

Lee could see the Pikachu in front of him struggling in pain, but then she got up, catching a much needed second wind and ready to fight. Guess I'd better knock the second wind right out of her, then... he thought. Taking a deep breath, he kindled a pilot light on the back of his tongue, where most fire-type pokemon get their fiery breath. Once he was ready, he spewed fire out in one trained direction toward Kichu, who tried to dodge, but still got hit by most of the fire. Looking at her body, she could see a couple burn marks as proof of the attack, but there didn't seem to be any permanent damage, thankfully.
