 Axew - Female Mold Breaker Health: 100 Energy: 100 lucarioLOVER  Piplup - Male Torrent Health: 100 Energy: 100 Axew had started off the battle, her small, stubby arms causing her to stumble as she rushed to start off the battle. Piplup just stood at her the whole time. He seemed to be developing a crush on her, despite that they first met. Axew noticed this, and she decided to play with him. Her eyes turned into small pink hearts as a pink aura engulfed her. A wind started blowing, sending the scent of a beautiful aroma through the river. Piplup smelled this and grew wild. His eyes turned into hearts as he stared at Axew glowing in the pink aura. He was in love with her, and he'd do anything to keep it that way. Axew: -5 Energy Piplup was in love now. His heart was beating for Axew, and only her. His trainer had ordered him to attack her, but he could never do that to his true love. Piplup immobolized by his love Axew watched as Piplup stood there the whole time, his eyes frozen on her beauty. She was flattered, but knew this was only fake love. Despite how beautiful he thought she was, she knew that the battle would go no way if they both just stood there. Axew began running towards Piplup, her stubby hands forming a karate chop. Piplup just stood there in a trance. He didn't notice what was going on the whole time until he was attacked. Axew jumped in the air, her hands crashing down on him. Axew: -10 Energy Piplup: -6 Health Piplup was sent back by this attack. He was laying on the floor, his head aching. He was wondering why his love would ever do this to him. Once again, his trainer ordered him to attack. Piplup began readying his move, but in the middle of it, he stared into her eyes. He would never do this to her. INFATUATED for 3 more turns Double Team ~ Surf Scythe the Axew had the upper hand, so it was time to see to it that it stayed that way. Scythe began to dance enchantingly, the power of dragons welling up within her body, her tusks grew stronger and more sturdy, while her previously stubby legs became more and more nimble as she danced. Pupi stared, enchanted by his love's beautiful dances. Scythe dance more and more until finally, her legs came to a stop. She felt much better with her legs more agile and her tusks longer and sharper. (Axew: -4 Energy, +1 ATK +1 SPD) Pupi's love had not faded at all since the last turn, and with Scythe's dancing, there wasn't much hope for Pupi to snap out of infatuation. However, he could still hear his trainer commanding, just near his range of hearing. "Double Team!" the voice called. However, Scythe called right back, saying, "My love, you wouldn't hurt me...would you?" Pupi struggled between two very opposing forces. Pupi's legs began to move, but every glance at Scythe made him stop. Then the voice came again and he started to move, and the cycle repeated over and over again. Pupi was thrown totally off guard, but eventually, the power of love prevailed over Pupi inhibitions, and was immobilized from movement. (Pupi unable to move due to infatuation, INFATUATED for 2 more turns) Now was Axew's chance! Using her new-found power in her claws, she moved her now nimble legs to become almost invisible from view. Pupi entirely immobilized, Scythe slowly sharpened her claws before going in for the strike. Coming in from the left, Scythe slashed at the penguin savagely - a square hit! Axew turned around and gave a slash with the one remaining arm, and Piplup was knocked off the ground. Pupi soon landed, scratches on his face. "Hah, that's what you get for almost attacking me!" Scythe seemed to say. Then changing her voice to an endearing tone, she said, "Don't do it again, sweet little penguin~. Or I may have to slash you again!" (Piplup: -7 Health, Axew: -6 Energy) Pupi slowly got up, his cheek pulsating painfully from Scythe's sharp claws. Still, he couldn't see badly of the Axew...but his eyes glowed with anger. The penguin caressed his wound, before quickly forming a huge wave of water right behind him - Scythe gasped; the infatuation failed this turn! The wave of water was gargantuan - it swelled above the height of Scythe before it finally collapsed right on her! The tidal forces spun Scythe around and around; luckily for the little dragon, the attack was not very effective; Scythe's dragon typing came in handy this time! In accordance, she needed to conserve as much energy as she could; she surrounded herself with a barrier, and thus protected her from any damage this time around! (Axew: -7 Energy, PROTECTED for one turn) Pupi was still seeing hearts, but something was a bit off. With every passing second, the passion was dying down, just a little bit. But what did it mean? Why was the passion dying like this? Was it something he said or did? Was it the Surf? While racking his brain for answers, Pupi was left totally immobile. Then, almost suddenly, the passion that Pupi felt before just dissipated; he was no longer infatuated! But what was odd was that he couldn't quite remember what had happened just recently... (Piplup unable to move due to infatuation, no longer INFATUATED) Scythe saw that Pupi had regained his bearings; this was not good! She drew out her claws, brandishing them intimidatingly in front of Pupi. She dashed towards him, and slashed Pupi across the face like she had done before. Pupi's cheeks were now red with scratches, and it stung quite badly for the penguin. (Piplup: -11 Health, Axew: -8 Energy) Pupi was really worried now. Scythe's claws were strong; it was imperative that he be able to avoid Scythe's dangerous attacks. Pupi began to run around at an amazing velocity, to the point where it appeared that there were multiple Piplups, and with no way to figure out which one was the real one, how would Scythe be able to tell which one to attack!? But Scythe had a little trick up her sleeve; unsheathing her claws, she dashed towards the hoard of Piplup. They all stared, sure that she would miss. The Axew suddenly disappeared; the intense speed of Aerial Ace was at work. She suddenly appeared and slashed; with the never-missing Aerial Ace, she managed to slash the correct one and dash off! The group glared; looks like evading capture would be harder than they thought. (Piplup: -7 Health, Axew: -7 Energy) Pupi shook off the damage fairly well. There wasn't much more they could do but onslaught the dragon with attacks. All four of them jumped into the water and began to form a huge tidal wave. The wave rose above the bridge that they stood on and slammed down on the small dragon. Luckily, due to typing, Scythe managed to shrug off the water, having not taken as much damage as Pupi would've hoped. (Axew: -7 Health, Piplup: -7 Energy) Scythe went in for a second, identical strike. Pupi felt prepared for this, but try as he may, Aerial Ace still struck hard and fast! (Piplup: -7 Health, Axew: -7 Energy) Pupi began to form a cold orb of ice between his hands. His last attack didn't go as well due to the lack of type advantage, but this one would hurt for sure! He aimed and fired quickly, not giving Scythe any time to dodge! The frigid beam shivered and cut Scythe right down to the bone, and in the end, she was left cold. Concerned with her own lack of energy, she lay down on the ground and took a short rest. It was a nice rejuvenation, but she couldn't let her guard down... (Axew: +6 Energy) Pupi was ready for another frigid attack. Moving his stubby legs as fast as he could, he dashed towards his opponent, with a cold beam forming in his mouth. The beam fired, making the surrounding air cold to touch. Scythe could feel the frigid air from far away, and tried to run, but to no avail. The cold beam cut like a knife. (Axew: -12 Health, Piplup: -9 Energy) Scythe stood there, still face to face with four clones of the same Pokemon. If she could figure out which one was which, she could defeat him...but there was still no way of telling which one was real! But Pupi looked like he was preparing another Ice Beam. The trainer quickly reacted with a move that would be perfect for this situation - Torment! With the command, Scythe stood there. Scythe looked back at her trainer; she's never learned such a move. She couldn't do much but stand there and wonder what the trainer what she wanted her to do. (Axew: Move FAILED, Axew cannot legally learn Torment) Pupi was laughing with pleasure inside. How could such an error be made!? Pupi didn't wonder any further, so he dashed once again towards the dragon, aiming his cold beam and nearly freezing Scythe into a frozen dragon-sicle. Scythe slowly stood up. "Sheesh, I lost so much ground this turn..." Unsure what to do, she had to fire blindly. She began to fire a bluish-purple blast of energy from her mouth, firing directly in the middle of the four Piplups. The blast created an explosion of dust; when it cleared, there were three Piplups. Alas, a clone was destroyed. (Piplup: 3 clones remaining, Axew: -6 Energy) Pupi sought his chance! Axew was already shivering in the frigid air, and Pupi thought to give the dragon hypothermia. Creating more cold air in his mouth, he fired at Scythe, who was hit hard by the cold beam. Scythe shivered; she wasn't sure how much more of this she could handle. (Axew: -12 Health, Piplup: -9 Energy) Scythe was shivering, and felt her legs go numb under her. Still, she had her claws to tear away at Pupi, but with three of them, hitting the target was going to be a challenge. She moved as quickly as her legs would allow her, and selected the target off to her right. Crossing her arms, she made an x shape as she slashed at the target. The target soon vanished; the target was yet another clone! (Piplup: 2 clones remaining Axew: -8 Energy) Pupi had finally gained the upper hand! The penguin formed one more cold beam in his mouth, awaiting to do serious damage to Scythe, and force her to submit to the cold. The beam was carefully aimed, and his aim didn't fail him; the beam cut through Scythe's skin like a knife, causing her to kneel. She didn't feel like she could take much more of this... She knew one of them had to be the real Piplup. After looking closely, she noticed something different in one of the Piplup from the other two. Scythe became enveloped in a white light and sliced through the Piplup she focused on. BAM! It was a direct hit! Pupi was shocked that the Axew knew which one was the real Piplup. (Piplup: -7 Health (2 clones remaining), Axew: -6 Energy) Pupi was still confident that he had 2 clones left to protect him, exhausted from previous attacks, Pupi relaxed and collected his thoughts. (Piplup: +6 Energy) Scythe was happy that she saw through Pupi’s clones. She decided to attack again with her sharp claws. Once again, three Piplups stood in front of her and she chose to attack the one in the middle. Scythe’s claws elongated and they bent into the shape of a scythe. Scythe lunged forward and slashed mercilessly at the Piplup. The attack hit the real Piplup again! Pupi was thrown back down from the blow, but he eventually got back up on his two feet. (Piplup: -8 Health (2 clones remaining), Axew: -6 Energy) Pupi was baffled that Scythe managed to hit him again. He was angry, but he knew that anger would only put him at a disadvantage. He relaxed again and thought about his next moves. Pupi exhaled a giant blizzard from his beak, and it completely covered the battlefield. Scythe was chilled to the bone with icicles hanging from his tusks. (Scythe: -16 Health, Pupi: -10 Energy) Now exhausted from the attack Pupi used more of his strength to erect a green wall of light. Pupi protected himself from any oncoming attack from Scythe. (Pupi: -6 Energy (2 clones remaining) Once again, Scythe jumped into the air and looked down at the 3 Piplups. She scouted out her 3 opponents and she noticed something different in one of the Piplup from the other two. Scythe again became enveloped in a white light and sliced through the Piplup she focused on. Scythe thought the attack worked, but Pupi was unharmed! The green light that protected Pupi then disappeared.
