By the way, in case anyone's wondering, according to HLTB that list'll take more than a solid month of play time (~41 days) to finish off, though for some games (particularly Mario Kart and the puzzle ones) I'm not sure how the submitters chose to define "complete."

About half my collection fits into this category

All my games (except the bajillion indy games I get from Humble Bundle and whatnot) have been played for at least a few minutes to make sure they work after I got them. Actually PLAYING through them that's another story...

I also have a bunch of games where I am a good way through but had to stop playing for some reason and haven't completed yet (and then that starts the loop of "Where am I, I don't remember the controls, etc" -> eff it new game -> play until I'm at about the same spot as last time -> stop playing because life gets in the way and sits on shelf for a while -> repeat loop ->).

Hmm, maybe when I get home from work I'll count how many games I have and how many I actually played through.

My own backlog is fairly sizable, and I likewise should not count most of the stuff from Humble Bundle (except the few games I actually do care about). In fact, I dumped a lot of console games last summer that I never really played enough to enjoy. My own impulse buys are thanks to GOG.com sales and spotting interesting games at local stores. The size of my backlog is probably quite extensive, and I feel bad whenever I stumble upon a good, long game that I wish I had discovered when I was younger and had fewer games to pass the time, but simply don't have the time to dedicate to it these days.
