Pokémon Red/Blue/Green
Pokémon Red/Blue/Green
These games started it all. Pokémon Red, Blue, and Green were the games that started off the Pokémon series throughout the world. In Japan, the first games that were released were Red and Green, while in America Red and Blue were the first two games that started off Pokémon. The game Green was only released in Japan, and the images in the original Red and Green were advanced into the images in Red and Blue (Everywhere). There were drastic changes between the games.
The point of the games is to become the Pokémon League Champion, by traveling throughout the Kanto region defeating trainers, the 8 Gym Leaders & collecting their badges, and defeating the evil Team Rocket and their attempts of world domination. You start off the game as a rookie trainer and you get the choice of picking 1 of 3 starter Pokemon. They are Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.
Notable differences between the Japanese Blue and Red & Green: The redo of all the Pokémon images, different Pokémon in different areas, the Unknown Dungeon was redone, Lickitung was able to be caught in the wild, and you could catch Ditto in the Rock Tunnel.
Pokémon NOT in Red: Sandshrew, Sandslash, Vulpix, Victreebel, Meowth, Magmar, Mew, Persian, Pinsir, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, and Ninetails.
Pokémon NOT in Blue: Arbok, Arcanine, Ekans, Electabuzz, Growlithe, Gloom, Oddish, Primeape, Vileplume, Scyther, Mankey, and Mew.
