Default Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum EV Guide

*Notice*
This is a guide on How to EV Train your Pokémon in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. The guide was written by Eric Pelipper. You may not take or use this guide without permission from Eric Pelipper. The guide belongs to Floatzel.Net and my website, Generation Pokémon.

SECTION 1: Raising your Pokémon

Chapter 1: Nature & Stats
Capture more then one Pokémon, look for the nature you want. Read the information on what the nature + and what is -. Look for the highest stat that matches your nature.
  • Capture Several of one Pokémon
  • Check the nature
  • Look for the highest stat that matches up with the nature
Ex.Catch several Magmar. If the attack is high Fire Punch will be powerful. If the Sp. Attack is the highest stat moves like Flamethrower will be powerful.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Iron - Defense EV
  • Calcium - Sp. Attack EV

I would have written a shorter version, but I have been watching numerous EV Guide videos, reading up on GameFaqs and the Platinum Guide a bit, so I am going through all of my knowledge and posting it all, 5 sections.

I think the chapter is a little too brief. If I were you, I'd imagine myself writing a guide for people who absolutely have no idea about what EVs are.
But good effort, nonetheless.

This is the kind of thing I need for continuing to make my VGC team more powerful because it has a little more info than my books (ex:what pokemon raises whch stat). Good job Eric!

Yes, I was reading this imagining I didn't know about EV training, and it could use more info of what they really are. Unless you are intending to put this information in the reserved spots.

I would, but I think I might make a new topic on that due to the fact that you have taken the spot to reserve, but I could try to fix that into post one.

Read my reply to Shadow, I may put this info with the Nature Guide, but then I would probably need to rename the chapters/sections.

Looks quite simplistic, just how it should be.

Ya agree good job.

It's simpler then the way I do it during the first step, basically I hatch about 50 eggs and it's usually out of bad luck because it might take me a long time to get a good nature.
