Pokémon Global Link: New Launch Date
After the earthquakes and tsunamis hitting Japan, Pokémon pushed back the release date for the online Global Link. An official press release from today has revealed that the new launch date will be April 13th (next Wednesday). This will give you access to both the Pokémon Dream World and the Global Battle Union.
In the mean time, be sure you have registered a Pokémon Trainer Club account as you will need it to access the system. Also don't forget to play the Befriend a Pokémon game to get access to a special Eeveelution. Pokémon Global Link EDIT: It seems that the press release has been removed from the webpage. It is unknown if the date has been pushed back or Pokémon wants to wait a few more days to put up the press release. Please stand by for further information. EDIT 2: The information has been re-released on the website and it will still be launched this Wednesday. EDIT 3: It's live now! Have fun. Just an FYI it takes a bit of time to receive your game sync code, to send your Pokémon over and then be able to play with it in the Dream World so be patient. *cue Mario in the CD-i game Hotel Mario saying "No."*
Unfortunately, that post was removed from the official Pokemon website shortly after being posted. The release date is not April 13, 2011, after all. TPCi has changed their minds, and it may be because of the second Sendai earthquake that happened recently in Japan. So, sorry. |

I think the post might have been removed due to the new earthquake which struck Japan today. If that's the case, then God help them; they're in such a tough situation right now. =|
Anyways, I can't wait to try out the Dream World, so I'm hoping - fingers crossed - that it will still be released on April 13th. |

The post itself was quite possibly because of uncertainty in the more recent quake, however the quake was in fact quite weak; similar quakes tend to happen a couple times each year in Japan, and damage was minimal at best (being the country is situated on a fault line, 6.0-7.5 earthquakes are more or less our severe thunderstorm).
Assuming it wasn't removed for any other reason, odds are the actually release date won't change. |

The official Global Link website has now updated to give a release date of the previously announced April 13th!

This is where they say they are working to fix it as quickly as possible, but it shouldn't take this long to resolve this kind of issue. This is a bunch of crap. |

Problems here too... I got all of the necessary information and even tucked in my Jellicent, but the loading page for the Dream World is forever at 0%. I should hope this gets fixed soon, since I really do want my Vaporeon and whatever else the Dream World has to offer.

I tried getting on the Dream World last night, it did work but was horrendously slow. I had to go through the Isle of Dreams twice because when I got to the Dream Tree it failed to load first time. (Also I kick butt at the Pellipper game). |

How come I didn't face any problems neither during registration nor during experience? I guess it's because I live in a completely different zone than the majority of the people, allowing me to login to the Global Link at off-peak times? If that's the case, then I'm glad I don't have to go through these annoying problems.

I myself haven't gotten a chance to use it yet. You know, stuck in a cave. That and I want one of my Pokemon from my team to be sent there, not a random Pokemon from my PC. |

EDIT: Or was it a registering problem? You could try checking to see if your email is right under "Edit Profile" at the regular Pokemon.com. Anyway, I tried it out and I don't really see any problems, other than searching for a rare Pokemon and possibly getting timed out. I got a Shinx with the Ability Guts. I'm not really sure I have any advice to give you except make a new account and make sure you don't make any typos in the email address.
Unless something's lagging and it's taking an incredibly long time to send emails to people or something. I don't really have a clue if that's happening, though, but maybe it's best to wait one or two days or so to see if you get the email. |

Okay, I'm going to ask for wifi help. The wifi I use on my laptop in my house is not supported by my DS, and all other signals are to weak. Also, other places where my Laptop can get wifi my DS can't. It is a DS Lite, but I'm not buying a DSi and I doubt I will get a 3DS before Christmas. How can I improve my wifi situation.
