Re: The Very FIRST anime you watched
The dub of one piece is THE WORST THING OF ALL TIME!!! It ruined One Piece's chances at a western audience. I hate it so much when I see Naruto merchandise being sold but not a single piece of One Piece merchandise! I could go on forever about the problems with the 4kids dub!!!

Re: The Very FIRST anime you watched
Pokemon.
The main order was: Pokemon Digimon Gundam DBZ Gundam R-word Kenshin Yugioh Yu Yu Hakosho Those were the first anime I saw, in roughly that order. EDIT: Carp, put gundam twice... Well, for ther most part, you can consider each one as it's own series since they don't really follow a concrete chronology. |

Re: The Very FIRST anime you watched
Ah, if I was to put it in a numbered order from one to ten, it would more than likely be:
1. Dragonball Z 2. Pokemon 3. Zoids 4. Mobile Suit Gundam 5. Yu Yu Hakusho 6. Yu-Gi-Oh! 7. Ruroni Kenshin 8. Digimon 9. Beyblade 10. Surprisingly enough, I don't know what the tenth one was considering I started watching just about anything that came on television after I learned how long commercials are and how often more than one anime comes on at the same time on a different channel. |

Re: The Very FIRST anime you watched
I don't believe I have ever seen nor heard of Baccano!, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Mahou Sensei Negima! before.
I might have to look them up, or I would if I had the time. Would you be able to give me a short summary on what each of them were about Sableyed? |

Re: The Very FIRST anime you watched
For a summary of Baccano, see the anime recommendations topic. I wrote a long summary. I recommend it above all others, except maybe Cowboy Bebop.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is by the studio that made Neon Genesis Evangelion, and it's completely on the other end of the genre. Gurran Lagann is possibly the most over the top Humongous Mecha series ever. Humans have been forced underground by an the Spiral King and his Ganmen. Two young men, Simon and Kamina, discover a robot, join a resistance movement and the fighting starts there. Everything the characters do is made of awesome. The robots literally run on fighting spirit. The action gets better and better from episode to episode, and the things they do by the end are insane. It's Subbed and Dubbed on the internet somewhere, both pretty good. I've just started reading Mahou Sensei Negima manga, and I haven't actually seen the anime yet, but I know there is one. I'm currently around chapter 67 out of 272. It stars a 10-year-old mage who is in training and has to teach at a japanese all-girls middle school. There are around 31 students he teaches, most of whom get distinct personalities. It starts out like a harem comedy but it turns into more of an action series as it goes along. It has epic magic fights, a bit too much fanservice, and a very shady ermine. I'm not done with it yet, and I haven't seen the anime, but it seems pretty good so far and it picks up as it goes along. |

Re: The Very FIRST anime you watched
Ah, Sub-Zero pointed out another Anime I used to watch. It was probably number ten on my list from earlier.
Street Fighter/Street Fighter 2 was an awesome series. Other anime's to add that could be ten are Static Shock and X-Men. |

To be honest, I think the very first glimpse of animé I got was when I was 4 or 5. Shortly before seeing Pokémon, I saw part of the movie Princess Mononoké on TV. But the first "show" I watched was Pokémon. I started on the very first episode, if I remember correctly.

I remember watching Dragon Ball Z back when I was 5 or so, but didn't like it. When I was 8 or 9, it became the first one I ever got into, though, with Yu-Gi-Oh following (and the only one I still like watching today, if only re-runs). I also got into Pokémon right around the same time, because they were back-to-back at the point.
