New Nintendo Direct:
-WE'VE GOT A RELEASE DATE! February 7th~ (a week before Valentine's Day~) -Get some new shots and some new info as well: -Brave and Default system: Use default selection to shield for a whole turn, which makes brave points. Use brave points to land multiple hits in the same turn. Sounds pretty cool. -Increase battle speed to kill enemies more quickly: VERY VERY useful for an RPG -ability to STOP TIME in battle and land several hits on enemies. Sure sounds like ANOTHER JRPG that's been popular in America recently... hmmm... -Sleep points: put system in sleep mode while the game is running to produce points. Sounds kinda weird, but we'll see more details as to what that does later. -TONS of customization. Who doesn't love that? It's apparently a big part of the game, so it makes sense. -Streetpass stuff, derp. -Collector's Edition details: Game, AR cards, art books, and original soundtrack CD. Seems very much worth it, but I dunno if I'll be getting it. So overall, a bunch of new stuff is learned(at least to people that haven't looked stuff up on the Japanese version) and there's not much to hate from my perspective. Just made me even more hyped for sure. If anyone's curious to see the full section on Bravely Default in the video, I'll post it below. Also today, they posted the trailer I linked earlier. It's good to see that they're putting it as some kind of priority with info online. Hopefully this game becomes rather popular, I'd like to seee that. As for now, can't wait to learn more about the game! http://youtu.be/mijfc0-zEgw?t=10m14s Last edited by Eagles; November 14, 2013 at 05:07:25 PM. |

I finally took a look into this game. Without having read any of the opinions in this thread, I can say it certainly looks like Final Fantasy, except without the elements that made the most recent entries terrible. (I don't think I personally know anyone who cares about the upcoming Final Fantasy XV.) I'll likely download the demo next month.

I've only looked at a few screenshots of this game, it's definitely like 4 Heroes of Light. Most of the games I've recently played are starting to return the original RPG format (except Sticker Star, which I don't like). |

Looks like the Bravely developers intend to turn it into an annual series:

I've been pretty excited for it. :3 It seems pretty promising- and the demo only heightens my hopes on how great of a game it will be.
It comes out pretty soon, too- less than a month now. Seeing that it is being published by Square Enix, I'm expecting a lot of similarities between it and Final Fantasy- like a lot of the Jobs available. |

Looks like the game's finally releasing in two days. Personally, I've decided to not get it upon release(because of how many games I'm playing currently and the fact that I'm already deciding whether to get ToS: Chronicles or FFX|X-2 HD... I'll have to see). Is anyone here planning to get it soon? It's getting a lot of praise and hopefully this means a better future for SE.

I've got my own (physical) copy of the game, which I picked up before heading to work today. Unfortunately, I cannot play it yet, as I told myself I have to finish Etrian Odyssey. Pokémon Bank also decided to release itself two days before Bravely Default, and I have some serious server stuff that needs to be finished by the end of this month.
