Last weekend I believe it was, I saw Ice Age: Continental Drift. It was pretty cute and funny, definitely one of the better Ice Age movies I'd say.
Then yesterday I watched Wrath of the Titans on DVD. It was pretty darn awesome just as I expected it to be though the ending was a bit confusing either because I did not hear what they were muttering about or it's leaving the movie open for a sequel... which is the more likely bet I have a feeling.

I saw The Secret World of Arriety on Friday. It was a lovely film. Chalk up another great classic for Studio Ghibli.

I watched Indie Game: The Movie a few days ago. It's a really great, emotional documentary-type thing that gives a really good look into what indie developers go through to get something that seems as small as a video game out.

I got to see The Amazing Spiderman today unexpectedly. I don't care what anyone says, I liked it (and for the record, I like the previous Spiderman movies as well!). If you are a Marvel fan, you need to see it for sure. Though there were a few details I did not agree with in this movie actually, mostly about how things about the Spiderman character were portrayed as and some tweaks here and there.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it'd be Monty Python and the Holy Grail or Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny.

I actually saw The Amazing Spider-Man a few days ago. It wasn't as trashy as I thought it was going to be. It was pretty good and very humorous. (But it shall never come close to the spot where Spider-Man 1 and 2 sit at)
2 nights ago, I made it a regular thing to watch a movie around 1 or 2 AM. I saw Coraline again that night and Chicken Little sometime yesterday. Tonight I'm gonna watch something Soul reminded me of, Robots. Tomorrow night, I'll watch Meet The Robinsons. I have a sudden love for movies now.

How odd, I'm literally getting ready to watch that right now. It gives me do many good memories, something to definitely watch multiple times. My favorite thing about it is probably Edna Mode. She is... I don't even have a word for it.

Recently saw Enemy at the Gates.
I don't care if it's historically in-accurate according to most people. I still like it.

Let's see, I saw the Amazing Spiderman, and was laughing my arse off. I mean it wasn't the movie, that was qualified under 'eh'. But the theater was empty save for me and this old guy with his grandson. And there is a lot of cussing in the movie, and once when a character quite blatantly said 'ass' the kid shouts loudly, "GRANDPA! HE SAID A BAD WORD."

Grandpa: "Yep."

Otherwise the most recent, the Dark Knight Rises. Was interesting. Basically it was the law vs the occupy movement.

Hey, the theater was empty for me, too!
I don't remember a lot of cursing, I don't remember much at all. What I do remember is Peter avoiding saying the F word in the funniest way possible, though.

I have seen... quite a bit of movies since The Incredibles. Robots, Meet The Robinsons, Pokémon The First Movie, Hoodwinked, The Cat in the Hat, Super 8, Orphan, and Alice In Wonderland. And that's not even ALL the movies I have in my current list. I've still got about 7 left, and I may add on.

Let's Go To Prison. No, I'm not tell you we should go to prison, I'm saying that's the name of the movie. It's a rather interesting one at that.

I've seen so many movies this week, omggg.
Watched REC on Crackle. Way better than the American remake, ngl. Now I gotta see REC 2. But not REC 3 because I haven;t heard of an english dub and it's super not cool.
The dubbing was kinda weird, but you get used to it later. .o.

Also gonna watch City of God later on. c:

But if you're really into horror movies, watch REC. It's a great horror movie, and it kinda mixes zombies, demonic possession, and other biological virus things.

Yesterday, I went to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. Nope, I didn't go with my brothers, I went with a friend. We laughed so hard. I thought it was a funny movie, but no masterpiece, for sure. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes over the top humour. 6/10 for quality, 8/10 for humour.

I saw it over 200 times About 230 I think.

But the most recent movie I've seen is the Hunger Games again on DVD. I saw it right before I finished Mockingjay. Viewing as a treat to fans of the book and not bashing it for not including small bits of vital information, I thought it was really good, and it works better as a movie because visualizing all those deaths and special effects with just words is hard. But then the book has its advantages too, because Katniss does a loooooot of narration, especially for tension when she's all alone, which happens often.

Saw The Dark Knight Rises again last night. And I found out just how necessary it was to see it again while it's still fresh in my head. Looking for clues, seeing things I wouldn't have though of before, and just understanding it better. (I finally learned that lady-chick's name is Selena Kyle :I) Maybe I should watch movies twice more often.

You don't know how jealous I am, Mag... I really want to see it!
But being on-topic, I FINALLY got around to watching The Avengers! Thrice! That's right, I was so bored and had so much free time in our motorhome this weekend that I watched it 3 times. Man, that was an AMAZING movie! I honestly can't get over how cool it was! And I'm definitely torn between my favourite characters being Tony or Bruce. Something about being super geniuses just makes them the coolest in my eyes. I <3 Bruce Banner. (And the actor for him too. And RD Jr., but I've always loved Robert.

Last "film" would probably be one of the documentaries shown in the 9/11 marathon I saw on Tuesday. I don't know why, I just find the event so interesting. I believe the last one was called "120 minutes that changed America" which was based upon the plane crashing of the Twin Towers, but at a much slower pace than other documentaries. You can never truly know what that event would feel like unless you were actually there, but you get a fairly good idea of how fast things seemed to have went throughout the event, and just how depressing it was.

Let's Go To Prison (I might've said this before). A little known movie that I enjoy watching whenever Comedy Central decides to air it.

Friday night I went and saw Snow White and the Huntsman. Now, before you get your whole "ewwww Kristen Stewart" fits in a knot. I don't watch movies for their actors. Because of this I can actually ENJOY a lot of movies. Besides, the character she's most notable for is already weak by nature. She was the most bad arse Snow White to ever exist. She was a princess and lead them to battle, she did most of the killing too. It was amazing. The cinematic was beautiful too as the director seemed to favor a lot of yummy contrast. Definitely buying it on DVD for sure.

I just finished watching Cars 2. I don't know why a lot of people said that this was a bad movie, because I found it to be very interesting and funny. Mater deserved that spotlight, and come on, who doesn't enjoy a spy parody?

Eew, Kristen Stwewart The only reason I didn't want to watch that was because it didn't look like the Snow White that I loved (for obvious reasons.) Like you, I don't let actors prevent me from watching a movie, no matter how bad they are. But I will flock to any and EVERY movie with Robert Downey Jr. or Shia La'Beaouf.

My brother and I joke watched Avatar: The last Airbender. It was terrible but we had a good laugh mocking and making jokes at it.

Just finished watching The Truman Show. It's definitely an interesting concept, and it's nice to see Jim Carrey play a semi-serious role instead of his general wacky comedy roles.
Also, dat ending.

9/10.

The Book Of Eli. It's definitely one of my favorite movies (even though I'm not into the whole religion thing).

We finished watching the Breakfast Club in my Oral Communications class today. I love that movie, it's pretty funny at times but the way it tied in with our lesson in class was pretty neat as well.

I just finished watching Die Hard. It was amazing and even though I don't like terrorist movies or movies with an excessive use of firearms, it got me hooked and I just could not stop watching for anything.

An American Tale: Fiviel goes West. I saw it on TV an immediately went to watch it. I remember loving it as a kid, and I still do to this day.

Just finished watching Scream for Halloween. Didn't watch 2 or 3 because Netflix derped out and I couldn't find my DVD for 4, so I had to stick with just this one. I just LOVE how they parody horror movies in a horror movie. It's funny AND thrilling.

Technically a film, though it's not something you'd go to theaters to see. It was some documentary in Animal Science about how the big time industry is affect farmers. It was pretty interesting.

Just saw Scream 2, Scream 3, and I'm in the middle of watching Scre4m (Guess which one that is ) right now. I got addicted after seeing the first, I just can't stop myself. The Ghostface killer mystery is just so exciting and different to me, since most other movies have a defined villain. Minus Saw, those over-the-top gore movies don't really get me.

The last film I watched was an Italian film titled: Io Non Ho Paura, "I'm Not Scared." It's a great little film based on the novel by the same name. You following the story of a child who finds and befriends an imprisoned child held for ransom. This movie takes place in around the 1970's I believe during a period of terrorism in Italy referred to as anni di piombo (the years of lead). During this time, these kinds of kidnapping were very common.

To be precise, at current count there are 23 "official" Bond movies (those that were produced by Eon Productions) and two more in production. Here's a list of them.

Additionally, there were three "unofficial" Bond movies that weren't made by Eon. There was an early adaptation of Casino Royale that was made-for-TV and changed the plot around a bit to satisfy American audiences, most famously changing British agent James Bond to a CIA agent named Jimmy. Another adaptation of Royale was made in 1967. Sean Connery, known for playing Bond in the earlier official films, was drafted for the 1983 film Never Say Never Again, which was a remake of Thunderball.

Alright, let's get back to what the thread is supposed to be about.
For my Cinema elective, we've been assigned to watch the German film Run Lola Run, which is about a girl who has to find 100,000 dollars for her boyfriend before he robs a supermarket. It's got a brilliant narrative device for keeping the plot interesting and makes it a truly original film. 9.5/10.

Welp, I finally went to go see Wreck-It-Ralph~! I have been wanting to see it, and it doesn't help that practically EVERYONE has been raving about it recently. So that means I joined the bandwagon this time, again. It was most certainly one of the better Disney movies I've seen in a while. The story is just... so.... fluffy, it may make your eyes a bit puffy from tears at times too. But not only was the story good, but the homages to SO MANY Video Games and some VGMemes too were included! The ones I did manage to notice were so clever, and I understood all of 'em as well. There are some that go back to older Video Game Lore about a particular Aprill Fool's Day joke from a long while back. Then there is a little Final Fantasy VII reference too that made me smile. They even had a Sonic Says meme in there as well.
My tip to you is to PAY ATTENTION TO THE GRAFFITI!!!!!!!11! ;D

I watched so many movies during Thanksgiving break.... Where to start?

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2: I was dragged by my sister and my mom to watch this movie. The only thing I like about the movie (and the only thing I remember) is the battle scene (until the twist) and that's pretty much it. The pacing was painfully slow and I was attempted to sleep throughout the movie. The story is about the Volturi thought Renesmee is a dangerous child that kills everyone because she is immortal and the Cullens contact other vampires to protect Renesmee. Somehow the movie makes the story longer than it should be. Well, at least there's an epic fight scene that keep me entertain toward the end but not enough to save the movie.

Wreck-It-Ralph: I watched the 3D version since the movie theater since the 2D version is sold out. There isn't much difference between 2D and 3D and not worth the extra money in my opinion. Anyway, I enjoy the movie for the plot and the characters, video game characters and it shows the creators shown their work. I also enjoy the video game cliches and jokes and how the movie pokes fun of them. Even though the movie has a general story line appear in some disney movies and it feels familiar to me, it's an enjoyable experience for me and I would watch it over and over again.

Lawn Dogs: The story is about unexpected (platonic) friendship between an upper class, 10 year old girl with a morbid view of life & a lower class man in the Deep South. As their relationship grew, people grew more suspicious on them and eventually they will get caught. The movie explores on prejudice and how how our own society can be worse than the outsiders. In the girl's society, people generally look down on people who don't share the same status as them and often blame them for horrible things happen in the neighborhood. It turns out that the upper class people are hypocrites who engages the worst behavior. Overall, I enjoy the movie but there's a lot of disturbing parts especially when a 10 year old performs unchildlike behavior that makes the film rated R for a good reason. I don't recommend people who cannot stand watching unsettling things and dislikes a slice of life genre.

Skyfall: It's about someone have a hard drive that contain information of identities of NATO agents and threatens to show it to the world. Along with, that, the thief has a grudge against M. The first half of the movie is slow, but after understanding the plot and introducing the villain, the second half of the movie is fun to watch. At times, I feel the movie drags on and focuses on the characters exchanging words than moving the story. I watched a couple of James Bond movies, but unfortunately, I can't remembered them to compare with Skyfall. The movie is enjoyable to watch, though it didn't meet up with some of my expectations. Oh, and the song Skyfall in the introduction with the animation is amazing (not to mention the song is stuck to my head) and it's one of things you have to go see yourself.

I saw The Help over the course of 2 days in my SAT Prep class. Oh boy, it sure was FUNNY. I'd definitely want to watch that again, especially without all the loud people and random announcements that don't mean anything to me.

Saw Rise of the Guardians...

Damn, they did an insanely good job at making Childhood beliefs interesting.
I love how they are all portrayed. Parts are funny. I had my doubts about it originally.
It's a really good movie.

Now I think of those characters like that from now on.... awesome.

Today I realized that my DVR did end up recording "Pokemon: Kyurem vs the Sword of Justice" so I watched that today. It made me love Kyurem even more with his awesome voice~ Keldeo is cool but I disliked the childish attitude he sported at first, accompanied by the FullMetal Alchemist main character's voice actor... bleh. (haha, yes I know his name is Edward Elric, Turt.)

It was about a scientist who invented some cleaning product and was going across the country trying to convince stores (like Kmart, Costco, etc.) to sell his product and he decided to take his mom along the trip. It has Seth Rogan in it if that means anything to you. Wasn't bad, but it's not for me.
