I can't say for sure. Knowing nothing about it, it's hard to make a decision. The body build does look like that of a fighter, but they would have to find moves from its moveset (which is currently unknown) or create new ones for its special moves and its Final Smash if they keep it, not to mention the other gimmicks they'll add.

It seems likely to me: first Mewtwo, then Lucario, now Zoroark. They're all bipedal and were all stars of the first movies featuring the first Pokémon of their generation. And if it's not playable, it'll at least be a sticker, right?

It appears probable for now. However it is distant as the next SSB game shant see light for a few years. Dispite this though,if the trend continues then we may see him in a particular fighting in the future...of course only time will tell.

I LIKE THE IDEA it's just that what would is moveset be? And there maybe a chance that a DIFFERENT 5 GEN POKEMON WILL BE CHOSEN! We're pokenoobs compared to our knowledge of this so called V gen. Anyways, Most likely it's a maybe. I don't think it will work and if it does, GOOD! Besides, what'll happen in 6 gen? Cat, I think this Zorua thing has gone a bit too far don't you think? Wait till we hear more about it. Okay?

Charizard, I'd appreciate it if you stopped using such a huge font. ._.
I think it's very probable that Zoroark will be included in the next Super Smash Bros. game. It'll probably come out after the fifth generation of Pokémon, so it's not as though they need to make up a moveset without a moveset. |

Well if you think about it. Zoroark would be a good addition to the Super Smash Bros team. But still he would have the ability to transform which shouldn't be chosen as a move since anyone can kick someones ass with their own moves. So mostly if Zoroark was gonna be in the game than He should have a set of moves that would not be cheap thats actually fit for a good pokemon like Dark Claw. His final smash should be something awesome like maybe they should make him transform at that point.

I don't think there will be a SSB4. You can't improve on SSBB. Should there be one though, I'd like to se Zoroark in it, though by then the whole of Gen V will have been revealed, and I'd rather have another awesome new Pokémon take that spot!

I don't think they will make a SSB4. (sorry if I'm getting off topic) Why change perfection? It's already perfect enough as it is actually. It's like making a Titanic 2. (I HATE the Titanic movie) It's already bad enough as it is. So, why make a SSB4. I can't think of any other way of making SSB look more SSB-ish. Some assit throphies are okay, and new pokeballs. (and pokemon : P) Any further and the series will lose it's taste. (like the poke anime to me) And then it will go mortal combat where you mash buttons and stuff. Anyways, on the topic, Zororark wouldn't how should I say " kick ass" ,but I would reccomend a new pokemon trainer over him.

So. It'll have Kirby's powers, eh? Press B and POOF! You turn into the nearest character to you in 1 and a half second(s)! So, I don't know for sure. But I'm hoping on it! Lets see.... Lucario, Mewtwo, and NOW Zoroark. Wow. I'd think they would put Zorua in it so it'd be like Pichu. But, Zoroark seems much larger and has a chance in being in it.

Oh yeah for a post from before about all the chosen bipedal pokemon, how they can all telepathicly speak, uhm I saw the commercial for the Zorua/Zoroark movie and it says Zorua is telepathic, now most likely zororoak will be too. So he fits the pattern that SSB goes for, telepathic, bipedal poke movie stars.
And also I think that Brawl and Melee have its own quirks Brawl with its new attachments, and melee with a harder challenge. I will agree with the comment about it being n00b friendly, since, anyone can run up, grab a smash bll and with the right character, wipe out the whole field. |

I think Zoroark has a decent chance of making it in. He certainly seems powerful enough to hold his own, and that energy burst he pulled after jumping off that building in the movie trailer has potential for a down B. As everyone else has said, his moveset needs to evolve more in order to be sure, but he has potential now.
However, I'm noticing that a lot of people are attributing transformation powers to him. We haven't seen any evidance that he actually turns into whatever he's mimicking. What he's making are illusions, but I'm betting it's still Zoroark underneath. Actually, that could have serious potential in team battles. If you can pull the ole' switcheroo in the middle of the fight you can land a good few cheap hits on your 'teammate' before they know what hit them. Kinda like the Spy from TF2. Dunno how that could fit into free-for-alls, though |

Sorry, but I absolutely hate baseless speculation. Extrapolation based on evidence is fine, but when people start getting into terra infirma they're only setting themselves up for disapointment, and the worst of it is that some people will actually complain that Nintendo didn't include ideas that THEY'D come up with based on nothing. I'm not saying anyone here will do that, but I've been conditioned to hate it. |

I don't understand why people say Zoroark can transform. I haven't seen anything close to transforming from Zoroark yet. Also, when you think about it, there is a good chance Zoroark will be in Smash. I say this because of the fact that Pikachu was in the first one (was the main Pokemon around that time). Mewtwo was in the second one (some sorta movie or something around that time). Lucario was in the 3rd (because of the movie). And since Nintendo is making a movie with Zoroark being in the center, Nintendo will probably put Zoroark in Smash 4. I'm not saying they are going to, I'm just saying there is a good chance of Zoroark being in the next game (if there is one). |

Zoroark's gotta be in the next SSB if they make one. I hope they keep Lucario with him instead of making Zoroark a total replacement, as I'd say the two go hand in hand with the major fanbase of them both. They do have a Zoroark model/texture hack in the meantime for the current SSBB Lucario on Kittehcorp. I'm not linking anyone there, but it's supposedly taken from the next Poke Park Wii. Take a good look at my current avatar, that should be a good example.

Oh god I hope not....
The thing is, Nintendo probably won't do it. Zoroark was one of the many reasons I left the Pokemon series. (oh boy, I better prepare for the fanboy/fangirl rage of this now) Anyways, no...just no. The point of this aurgument is useless. I want to see Nintendo focus on more third party characters. Such as Mega Man or even FF/KH characters. But, that's just me. |

You see, the only problem with more 3rd party characters is more rights that need to be bought. While I would like characters like Megaman and a KH character in SSB4, it would probably be at most 3.
Back on topic, I do think Zoroark being in SSB4 is realistic. It's possible, but it might not happen. Would I like it? It just depends on how Zoroark is designed for that game. But it's more than likely they will add Zoroark because I doubt they would add Lucario again. Just look at Mewtwo. |

Possibly, but just in case they don't, we have the MDL0 format to help. Last edited by Glitchy Furrystuff; December 14, 2011 at 04:57:52 AM. |

We saw a few 2nd and 3rd gen Pokemon used as support Pokeball characters in Brawl. And you're thinking waaay to far ahead. I mean, 6th gen? Really? They've already announced a 4th Smash game (from what I was told) and I doubt they'll release a 6th gen before then.

Pokemon games are released faster than smash bros.
Brawl was announce in 2005. It was released in 2008. Pokemon B/W was announced in 2010. It released in 2010/2011. April to September of 2010 was the gap from announcement to release in japan. Brawl had an almost 4 year gap. Big difference there. Last edited by Buivile; March 1, 2012 at 04:16:25 PM. |

As Lucario was similar to Mewtwo, I think Zoroark would do the same a bit. As for a Final Smash, I think he would change transform into one of the other playing characters with invincibility and added power. Maybe his B move could be a Dark Pulse but if you charge it up, it would be a short Nasty Plot and when you release it, it'll be an awesome Dark Pulse!

I think Zoroark's final smash would be either he turns into one of the legendary beasts, temporarily gaining their powers. Another possibility is that he unleashes a incredibly powerful Night Daze, damaging all characters around Zoroark.
There is also the possibility that Zoroark's final smash might not do damage; like Princess Peach's final smash, (Which doesn't actually deal direct damage) Zoroark might just use it's illusion powers to change the stage for a limited time. (Probably into a random stage) Also, I think Zoroark will have a similar moveset to Mewtwo and Lucario in the previous smash games, such as if you held down 'B', Zoroark would charge up a Dark Pulse attack, etc. I just hope if they do add Zoroark, that they make him fast. I could hardly stand to use Lucario due to his slowness...*Gets out Sonic* Last edited by SilverX; March 1, 2012 at 05:45:44 PM. |

Just a little note, this a thread for discussing if Zoroark will be in Smash 4, not a thread for discussing what his moves could be in Smash 4. Sorry to snap a little, but I'd like for this thread to stay on topic.
I've already mentioned my point - Zoroark has a high chance to be in Smash 4 due to it being like Lucario and Mewtwo: human-like with special powers. |
