My laptop says 10 days, 18 hours, but I tend to put it into sleep rather than shut it down, and Windows counts sleep as the computer being on. My desktop is shut down right now. The only times I leave a computer on overnight are when I'm encoding a long video or downloading a large file.
My dad tends to leave his computers on overnight for several days, usually until he watches a movie in the same room and finds the noise distracting. |

My Lenovo laptop reports 2 days, 2 hours, and 25 minutes from the time I last shut it down for maintenance, which was when I cleaned my DVD burner.

My laptop I had to force shut down because it froze on me, so it's only been on for ~6 hours and 15 minutes. My desktop, however, has been on for a meager 10 days 16 hours and 12 minutes. I don't turn it off because I don't like closing things and opening them back up.

I'm currently at 2 days, 10 minutes, but I'm on my laptop right now; my desktop regularly gets past 2 weeks.
...Yeah, I put my computers to sleep when I'm not using them. The only times I actually turn them off is when I'll be away for a few days or there's an update. |

Trying to one-up me now, are you O_?
I'm going to try to remember to turn my computer off at least once a month from now on, because I don't think laptops are especially designed to be running indefinitely, but I'll update this post some time if I forget and beat Bidoof's high score. |

I think I
Edit, for some reason computer wasn't actually shutting off when I shut it off and I want to say the clock made it to 61 or 62 days before I was able to fix it. Didn't think to get a screenshot of it, though it wouldn't really have counted anyway . . . Last edited by Dragonite; January 23, 2016 at 10:15:54 AM. |

If Windows 10 didn't insist on rebooting itself all the time, my work computer would easily be at 120+ days due to having a server on it.
(Also, the Ethernet controller fried on the motherboard, so I'm stuck using an incredibly slow wireless adapter until I get a new LAN card.) Last edited by Cat333Pokémon; March 13, 2016 at 11:29:16 AM. |

Full-screen screenshot because I was too lazy to crop just the window. XD
Even though it says it's been up for an hour or so, it's actually been 5 hours since I rebooted due to a recent update for Bitdefender. I switched back to Windows 7 because for whatever reason, my Lenovo laptop - although it exceeded the system requirements - didn't like Windows 10 at all, and I can't blame it. The computer was taking longer and longer to start up, and when it was done starting up, Windows 10 had an update ready for me, and the cycle continued. I was wasting more time tending to updates than doing actual work. Last edited by Seiji J. Konokama; March 14, 2016 at 11:12:09 AM. |
