Quote:
1. Each Pokémon is assigned a "rarity" value. Pidgey or Buizel is 100, Mew and Deoxys are 1, Yoshi is 2 and Arceus is 0. 2. The Pokémon are generated based a random variable multiplied by the rarity factor of each Pokémon. Thus, you now have your entire pool of Pokémon: 12668 (as of writing), with each legendary having a 1 value. A legendary is general would be about 20-30/12668. These Pokémon are then randomly added to the database after anyone adopts something. 3. When you go to adopt a Pokémon, it once again chooses random Pokémon, but without any weight. As such, let's say someone released their entire collection of legendaries, you will be able to find legendaries much more easily. So, the simple answer: about 1 in 4,000. |

I have a Dialga and a Giratina. How do you guys get so many?
EDIT: Just saw an adopt screen with a Giratina and a Shiny Sandshrew. I went for the Giratina, I already had a Shiny Sandshrew. So now I also have a Giratina. EDIT 2: All my legendaries were deleted... Last edited by Fly Guy 2; June 25, 2010 at 05:11:53 PM. Reason: new legendary |
