Here in upstate NY it's nothing more severe than a bad storm. As I said in the blog, last night I was incredibly nervous about it. And yeah. Sure, it's raining sideways right now, but it's not the worst thing in the world to happen. I've been through storms just as bad before.
As for Reun, who's from Long Island, well, he's absolutely screwed. |

Well, I was pretty worried about it at first, but it appears that it'll do a complete 90-degree turn up into New York before the worst of it hits me (as for the people in Buffalo, I do believe it's getting roundhouse-kicked your way soon). So it looks like all that's coming out of it for me at the moment is minor structure damage and a day off school Tuesday (that we don't have to make up due to Pennsylvania declaring a state of emergency ), so I may as well make the most of this storm while it's here. I feel sorry for residents of New York/Maryland/Delaware/eastern Pennsylvania though; from what I heard, the waters are rapidly rising everywhere, including in places where it'd normally be LOW TIDE, which doesn't sound very good for when high tide comes back in...

What Ditto said. We had some rather strong winds for the past day or so. Some places around here even had gusts of wind reach 75 mph. It actually snowed in my area this morning just as I left from school... well, it was more like snow and hail mixed, along with the gusts of wind to make one giant weather condition known as "screw your morning commute."

I've been out of power for half of yesterday and most of today practically. All I can say is that the wind was the biggest problem considering where I live. My house is surrounded by trees, so it was just a big target for falling trees and branches. =w= I did manage to take a few pictures before I helped my family clear out all of the branches and trees.

Part of the back gate to my house was broken apart (the door) and slid down to the end of the sidewalk. Also, a transformer just across the street blew out and the power went kaput for two days.
School was closed, it continues tomorrow. Wish it didn't, though. |

But I really hope not while I would love to see snow since I have no school to worry about now but I am really sick of seeing terrible weather especially after the terrible Halloween snowstorm last year. |

Long Island wasn't too badly affected by the Noreaster. Over here, there was a lot of freezing rain and snow. The wind only made it seem colder than it actually was. I did manage to take two pictures (both of which were taken from my front door) of what the storm did. As of now, the snow is starting to melt.

Well it's a desert over there. Based on what happens in New Jersey and the fact the New York is more northern, I'm pretty sure they always get their decent amount of snow. I just want to know why the snowstorm COMPLETELY skips Maryland and moves up there. All we get is dry wind, and I think it's making me catch a cold.

He's right. I even decided to look up an article about it. Maybe I can use this for AP English.
