Default What pokemon do you think had "Wasted Potential"?

Look at the title. I kinda got this from Gamefaqs. So, anyways, what pokemon do you think had "wasted potential"? For example, I think Yanma and Yanmenga had wasted potential. I think Yanmenga should have been a Bug/Dragon. What do you think? This counts for movesets and types. And anything else I forgot.

Girafarig.

I just think they make it for the same name backwards and forwards. @_@

Girafarig's wasted potential is that it was going to be a Pushmi-pullyu.

Farftetch'd is one of the most awesome pokemon out there, but it's far too weak. Kricketune has the same problem for me.

Surskit really should have evolved into another Water-Bug pokemon. It still becomes and interesting pokemon, but the Bug Flying type is far too common.

Dunsparce has very little potential to begin with, but if it evolved into a dragon, that would be awesome.

Dunsprace. It's normal type. It doesn't evolve. It's moveset is terrible. And get this, it is thought to be one of the hardest pokemon to catch in Ruby and Sapphire.

Quilfish.

Come on, it's a PUFFER FISH! But it's crap! If it got an evolution I'd use it, no questions asked.

Rain Dance support disagree, mister. This thing can sweep.

I think Regigigas kinda got screwed over. It is still amazing at stalling, but when Game Freak gave it Slow Start to balance it, it became unbalanced in the WRONG direction. ;_;

Phione and Manaphy both look similar and learn similar moves. Why would Nintendo make 2 pokemon that are so similar? We don't need both of them and they could have rid one of them.

I see this in a lot of pokemon, and agree with dunsparce. Also, parasect needs better stats, and moves.

Another is pachirisu, its just another pikachu, with a different design, and worse moves, etc. It should have looked cooler, and been either fire/electric or just fire, it needs the fire typing though, it would have worked so well too...

Plusle and minun are kind of unnecessary like you guys said above, though they need evolutions in my opinion to make them good.

Unown is good with one move, but they need to develop it more, and in my opinion, it should evolve into a single typed pokemon of whatever type its hidden power was, and forget its hidden power, to learn a move of that type. Though I must admit, Unown sweeps are hilarious.

Yeah, but at least it gets stab from Hyper Beam.

Luvdisc. We all thought it evolved into that flying heart thing. But no, it's just going to continue being boring and strange-looking.

Unown could've been so awesome, with its design and dex entry, but using nothing but hidden power is soooooo boring. It can't even learn a tm! Also, its shiny form sucks. It should be...yellow. Not a dark blue that looks almost like the regular one!

Pachirisu is adorable, but that's all it's got.

But don't mock Qwilfish. That thing is gnarly.

Granted, I never use it, but it still owns all.

Mewtwo is completely underdeveloped. He has a terrible SpATK and a horrible movepool.
...

No really, I think alot more could be done for Sunflora regarding physical attack and defense. It has a great movepool, but rather mediocre stats.

Luvdisc - we had our hopes high for an evolution in Generation V (Mamanbou), then we were all disappointed.

Dunsparce - doesn't really need any explanation.

Farfetch'd - it could really use an evolution, since it would be pretty awesome if that happened.

Delibird - why did Murkow/Gliscor/Misdreavus get an evolution and not Delibird?

There are many, many others that I can list over here, but those are the ones which I can think of right now.

hmm... That's tough to say without saying the ones already said over and over.

Probably Jynx.

Gen 2: Magmar, Electrode, and Jynx got a prevolution.
Gen 4: Magmar and Electrode got an evolution. Jynx got to cry in the corner.

Plusle and Minum have wasted potential by not evolving instead of spamming of helpping hand.

Well since everybody listed pretty much everything that came to mind for me (besides Cherrim, maybe Ditto, and definitely Chatot) I'd have to say the ELectric type as a whole has wasted potential in the regard that there are barely any dual-type electric Pokémon (not counting Gen. V as of yet) that aren't legendary. We've got the Magnemite family and we've got the Chinchou family. Unless you count Rotom, which is sort of a pseudo-legendary, that's it.

It's pretty good as it is. With Roost it gets rid of lots of weaknesses, and EV train it a bit, then add Earthquake, Sunny Day, and Leaf Blade
and you've got a pretty great sweeper.

Actually friend Sableye is a very good rounded Pokemon with nice base stats the only wasted potential about it would be its lack of evolution...

Doryuuzu (The Ground/Steel type mole) could have had at least one good Steel type move.

And Mamanbou litterally had big, flashy lights saying "THIS IS A LUVDISC EVOLOUTION!", and yet when the game was released it was revealed that it wasn't an evoloution. There should at least be some connection between the two.

These guys have NO WEAKNESSES. You'd expect them to be OU, but their (especially Sableye's) defenses are too low and they're still 1/2HKO'd by neutral attacks.

Unown - It knows one move, it's highest stat is 72, it was practically treated like a legendary in the anime, yet it's at the bottom of the NU tier. Seriously, it needs an evo.

Emonga - I was expecting an evo for this guy. He's pretty good compared to Pachirisu IMO, but his stats (except speed) are still lacking.

I was expecting that too, but I realized that, Ash saw waay too many Luvdisc in the Hoenn saga, it would have been wierd that he didnt see at least ONE Mamanbou.

I'm gonna have to go with Dunsparce. I thought Dunsparce was gonna have the Magikarp effect and evolve into some bad ass Dragon Serpent Pokemon at level 20...

You guys are being so hard on Dunsparce...what's a tsuchinoko supposed to evolve to anyway? He's awesome the way he is.

Although a Grass type, Jumpluff has never been my favorite. It's good that we have Tropius to cover the Grass/Flying now. And I don't see a point for Unown beside collecting...
