If you feel the double post is needed, then go ahead. Just don't have like eight posts in a row. Try to use editing to keep double posts minimal, but sometimes making a whole new post is necessary.

A question about this guide I'm making, is it okay to double post when anyone gives significant updates to it, or only edits?
