Update on the Pixelmon server. I am now a permanent co-owner, and am also an admin of the Facebook page. This ride just keeps getting wilder.

And now I am an owner of the server, albeit temporarily. If that isn't the crunch, I don't know what is.

Sorry about this taking so long. It's been crazy on that server. Anyway, Pixelmon is a Minecraft mod that adds Pokemon and related items to the game. I am currently the highest ranking staff member on the server below the owners, so it's been rough on me.

    Pixelmon? What's that?
  6. isbragg
    February 26, 2015 02:42:19 PM
I've been going through that on a Pixelmon server I staff for the past two weeks.

    The crunch?

    Ever felt the crunch?
  10. Twiggy
    February 10, 2015 04:54:41 AM
    Feeling kinda sick lately.

I want to Axew, but I wonder why. Maybe it's because he's in the cute gang.

    December 11, 2012 11:18:07 PM
Maybe that is a good thing - you're well-known enough.

    December 11, 2012 11:33:00 AM
In my 3 years of being here, that was the first time someone has used my name in a post when not referring to a post I made.

    Let me Axew a question
  31. isbragg
    November 12, 2012 11:35:33 PM
I also take it I've been noted as the resident Axew? I'm alright with that.

It probably was labelled with a Zorua for some reason.

    October 9, 2012 10:31:29 AM
I was referring to the pink stuff that soothes your stomach, but okay.

What were they thinking (or not), though? Really, PUSA and Nintendo should sue.
  43. Twiggy
    October 8, 2012 11:19:49 AM
    And a lot of Zoruas
  44. isbragg
    October 8, 2012 11:06:35 AM
Forget brain bleach, get me Pepto! My stomach is seriously churning because of this.
  45. Twiggy
    October 8, 2012 11:01:19 AM
Whew. I had to get a lot of brain bleach after someone posted images of it
  46. isbragg

Is it a bad thing if I thought "wha, same school?!" when I read your VM?
  51. isbragg
    May 8, 2012 07:17:12 AM
Random question is random. I like him, he's a cool guy. He once made a board for the members of the Pokemon Club at my high school, only because I mentioned I was advertising this forum there. The club has since disbanded, and the board no longer exists.
  52. Twiggy
    May 8, 2012 06:14:57 AM

What do you think of Kitteh?
  53. Twiggy
    May 7, 2012 03:39:58 PM
Time to get sugerical to McAfee
  54. isbragg
    May 7, 2012 07:34:14 AM
So I reset Internet Explorer to default settings, and McAfee is still giving me a white box. ***** does appear to be fine, though.
  55. Twiggy
    May 6, 2012 08:30:03 PM
***** SHOULD work with the default settings. Set it to defaults anyway.
  56. isbragg
    May 6, 2012 08:25:10 PM
The IE settings used by ***** and McAfee conflict. McAfee is expecting ALL settings to be at their default while ***** expects the Javascript settings be messed with. I prefer Google Chrome as my web browser of choice. IE is only here to make ***** work.
  57. Twiggy
    May 6, 2012 08:02:34 PM
And you might want to reset IE settings completely just in case it got hosed by something else. Usually it's something else causing trouble to IE, and by proxy, the uninstaller.
  58. Twiggy
    May 6, 2012 07:58:57 PM
Or you could look for the other, more well-known engine name in my list of adopts in the signature.
  59. Twiggy
    May 6, 2012 07:58:05 PM
Technically, Microsoft HTML Engine. It's used by a lot of Windows applications for its ease of getting plugged into other applications. There's a very good reason why you want to keep IE updated because seemingly unrelated stuff get improvements from that

    MSCONFIG, anyone?
  60. isbragg
    May 6, 2012 07:14:01 PM
McAfee isn't in the startup folder. What to do, what to do?
  61. isbragg
    May 6, 2012 07:04:25 PM
The white box is caused by... INTERNET EXPLORER?! Why must one program completely rely on another? I was experiencing a similar problem with ***** previously, and fixed that by changing settings in IE. Unlike McAfee, I actually use *****, so I'm not changing those settings back.* I'm just going to remove McAfee from the list of programs that run at start-up, once I find out how.
*(McAfee's expired; I'm using the Norton provided by my ISP)
  62. Twiggy
    May 6, 2012 06:48:10 PM
The application must be hosed through, then
  63. isbragg
    May 6, 2012 06:05:06 PM
That was a ray of hope that quickly went away when McAfee wasn't listed. McAfee came pre-loaded on my computer so I don't have a product code.
  64. Twiggy
  65. Twiggy
    May 6, 2012 07:17:22 AM
Your McAfee is probably hosed by itself. Hmm...

Looks like your only option is to manually remove the application, along with anything it has done with the registry, as well as the startup entries.

Good luck, you will need it.
  66. isbragg
    May 6, 2012 07:05:47 AM
McAfee Security Center won't even open! It gives the same white box as when I try to uninstall it. I am not taking the risk of hosing my computer. The only time I've messed with regedit is to write a value that would make a program behave like it should (Steam version of Sonic Adventure DX doesn't save your configuration because a registry value for checking proper installation wasn't written).
  67. Twiggy
    May 6, 2012 07:02:32 AM
It's hard to use Remote Desktop Connection when you're in Safe Mode.
It's hard to do that when it runs the risk of hosing your computer.
It's hard to trust someone over the Internet.
  68. isbragg
    May 6, 2012 07:00:39 AM
If only I knew someone that was much better at troubleshooting than I am.
  69. Twiggy
    May 6, 2012 07:00:31 AM
    And what would it be?

(If all else fails, you can certainly try booting into Safe Mode, and start removing the program files directly and excise everything related to it in Registry Editor, but it runs the big risk of hosing your computer. Attempt only on expert supervision.)
  70. isbragg
    May 6, 2012 06:59:05 AM
    Or not...
  71. isbragg
    May 6, 2012 06:58:22 AM
I just had an idea that might get McAfee to uninstall.
  72. Twiggy
    May 5, 2012 07:15:58 AM
Getting someone else to fix it?
  73. isbragg
    May 5, 2012 07:13:40 AM
No. I'll be gone most of the day today (Pokemon TCG Dark Explorers Pre-Release), so it's going to be a while.
  74. Twiggy
    May 5, 2012 07:09:12 AM
Coming in! Got your computer fixed?
  75. Twiggy
    May 1, 2012 07:10:12 AM
Computers. They don't work when you want them to.
  76. isbragg
    May 1, 2012 06:55:05 AM
I found that it was loading a dll for a completely unrelated real-time program (not an anti-malware). I took care of that by killing the processes associated with that program, but still have a white box. It also loaded dlls associated with IE, but I use Google Chrome and will not uninstall IE because it's needed by *****. I'm about to give up here.
  77. Twiggy
    April 30, 2012 09:06:46 PM

Now, this is about a failed install, but working backward and given a bit of knowledge on the registry might help. Or you might want to check for registry entries for your old security software. Disable all of them completely before uninstalling them as thebfirst step (don't go on the Internet without protection)
  78. Twiggy
    April 30, 2012 09:10:35 AM
Save to disk, do it from there, reupload
  79. isbragg
    April 30, 2012 09:06:35 AM
Safe Mode didn't fix the issue.
  80. isbragg
    April 30, 2012 09:05:25 AM
I would do that, if it wasn't an image from another site (, if that really counts as one). It isn't my own upload.
  81. Twiggy
    April 30, 2012 08:52:24 AM
Consider cropping it in something that can handle transparency. May I recommend Paint.NET if you're into quicker editing without too much hassle? I'd also recommend GIMP, but it's overkill if you're not into serious digital art.
  82. isbragg
    April 30, 2012 08:50:23 AM
It's a game ripped sprite. Profiles don't seem to auto scale avatars that are smaller than the max.
  83. Twiggy
    April 30, 2012 08:44:37 AM
On another topic, your avatar looks comparatively tiny in profiles.
  84. isbragg
    April 30, 2012 08:42:28 AM
I've provided the information you have requested in the thread about windows losing focus.
