The fireworks theme seems doable if you find a good Pokemon to fit with it.

I was thinking of having a Pokémon with a kimono and fireworks, or something. It'll be pretty hard to scratch that, though.

That seems hard to create a sprite out. It has so many different themes.

I know the feeling. Of getting sick of staring at things, that is.

There are a lot of different japanese festivals in general. Some are just for some special, local occasions, and some are for traditions that have been upheld for a long time. New Years is one, too. Etc. People eat yummy food, play games, and watch fireworks if there's a display.

I'm not sure if it really "screams summer," though.

I really just stopped trying to make the left wing look good. I grew tired of looking at flames. xP

Really? There's that little curl of flame that actually gives it a touch of legitimacy, in my opinion.

Creating the flame effect was the most complex. l practically said "eff it" on the left wing and did whatever. But now it looks weird. T.T

I watched snippets here and there, usually competitions and important battles. I don't really like Ash's new look, though, so I'm not trying out the new season. ^^;;
