Whoa, the way they store information is WAY different than the way I do ._. Most of theirs is plain text, mine is compiled binary.
Personally I don't see why anyone who goes to the effort of writing their own engine would want to make it look like a BW ROM hack (which is the main reason mine now looks like a drunk N64 game nowadays). Also not a fan of the way they store most of the data, since it takes up a lot of space and are slower to read/parse than binary files.
Some good things in there that I've noticed so far, though. Animations especially, I had absolutely no idea .how I was going to manage animations efficiently until now. But I like what I see so far from the animation editor, I might nab some of those ideas. And files. I also like some of the music, I probably won't steal any of those files verbatim, I'll probably remix them a bit or something.
Well actually I was gone the entire day for a football game, and all of today because a friend came over. And I go back to school in the morning...
If you're free literally right now, then we can smash.
Hmm, I've only put about an hour into RPG Maker and that was mostly messing around with tiles, but I do know that it likes Ruby a lot . . . which is not exactly the simplest language to pick up . . .
Since it's not a game that requires immediate action like M:TG or Yu-gi-oh, you can take your turns, detail what you do, and detail your side of the play area. I feel like it would be worth a shot.
How does RPGM handle the sprites for battles and stuff? I just load and unload mine into the game as needed, can you do that or do you have to manually arrange everything for all of the different Pokémon species?
Thanks for the offer, but I don't think I'll have time. I gotta get to bed early and I don't even have the last one bred. Thank the lord I've got a really good friend helping me out with this
Probably not, but it's worth a shot! I've got a TCG deck all ready, and I've got a team that I need to finish up tonight. I'm meeting a friend there that I haven't met IRL yet too. I'm excited!
Okay, okay. It's not you, it's me. I got kicked off the server and same error codes as before are keeping me out. Anyway, it was a nice long string of smashes. And I still get to say I won the last one~ You've proven to me that my Wii Fit Trainer definitely needs a little more tweaking, and not to underestimate Villager anymore (like no one online plays with him, it was a pretty novel experience for me.)
And yeah, I'm a lot happier now than I used to be. But hey, things aren't all too bad between us. Tonight was a lot of fun. And no matter what you're still my best friend, got it? Good. It was nice playing with ya. See ya 'round.
And the Duck Hunt strategy is to slowly build up damage with the clay pigeon side special and then SMASH ATTACK (or some other kill move that I have not yet found.)
You need some hyper meds. It sounds like you're ALWAYS sick. Anyways, I'm mostly free for the rest of the night, with a little bit of songwriting mixed in. Wanna go soon?
That's probably because you actually can't, the hitstun is too good there. I was trying to reflect a shot back at you with the Guardian Orbitars, but the shot wasn't ever gonna make it back to you in the first place.
The funny thing is that I hadn't ever done well as Dark Pit or Ludwig before those fights, and getting owned repeatedly by your ZSS made me get a good feel for them. That blaster combo is pretty inside, btw
I figured I'd join and use you to warm up. I was battling a different group of friends, but I wanted to snatch the chance to see how you battled while you were online. Not bad! I'm still working on controls and finding my main.
It's just not working. It's really pissing me off because it was working EARLIER today and now it won't connect at all. *sigh* And tomorrow won't work because I'm reading. So I'll let you know when I'm next available.
