Be careful how heavy of a MIDI file you give it. Try something without much polyphony first.

Ooh, I just found an OPL3 emulator called ADLMIDI, but it seems to be a little choppy on Windows.

I've only played around with the Korg DS-10 synthesizer for the DS, but I must say that it is pretty fun to mess around with, and it gives some interesting sounds. Pity there was never a MIDI attachment for the DS.

Yeah, my current ringtone is a retro-style (retro like older cell phones) version of Route 2 from Pokémon BW. It's really loud and easy to hear in a crowded room.

It's kinda funny how everyone now has annoying ringtones of the same clips of the latest hits. While they're not really bad songs, they just get annoying and repetitive after a while. Wait a minute, there was a time when every ringtone was the Nokia Tune. Hmm, tough call which is more annoying.

I would make a couple monophonic ringtones to stick on YouTube if I had the patience, but I've mostly just messed with the MIDI synthesizers on them.

I love retro remixes too. I've made a few using some older Nokia cell phones.

I usually just like remixing video game music, so technically just going from one synthesizer to another.

I'm not entirely sure what most of them are, as I haven't used them in a long time, but the ones I do know are a Roland Fantom-X, a rack-mounted synthesizer of some kind, and a few mini keyboards. I've also got a variety of sound cards with older SoundFont-based synthesizers, like the Creative SoundBlaster Live!.

Roll jumping can help you to catch up, just make sure you stay behind him, though.

In my book, Jak 1 isn't hard, just tedious. Jak II on the other hand, upped the difficulty so much that I can't even get my first gun! I beat Jak 1 and Jak 3 back on the PS2, completely skipping over II.

I have seen many stacks of VCRs at Goodwill. Biggest turn-off for me would have to be the mono audio head. I don't even bother with those due to the lack of Hi-Fi sound, and often poor picture quality. Those things spell "cheap" many times over.

Wow, nice! I've been trying to get ahold of a nice VCR with good picture and sound quality for digitizing tapes to the computer. I've got one that's pretty sharp, but the fast forward/fast rewind is broken for some reason.

Yep, they are pretty cool. They're just a bit too large to be usable. I've got a few dozen movies, but I think I might need to get rid of a bunch of them just to cut down on space. They take up more than a milk crate.

I can write my messages on a computer from '99 (and could technically use one from '96 if I reinstalled the OS), but it'd be cool to get something really old working.

Yep, I've most definitely done that. Kinda wish there was an easy way to make vinyl records with your own music.

I still use videocassettes a bit, but the audiocassettes have mostly phased to "project" applications. What's also fun is taking old tech and using it for modern purposes, like making old computers work on the modern 'net.

I just love old tech so much.

The computer actually doesn't have any brand at all, as it is a custom machine. (Don't want to clog up the picture thread with off-topic stuff.)
