Being Serious, I don't know what my life would be like without pokemon. It got me into games, it got me into japan, and it's the one thing I truly call myself a fan of. I may have gotten into those things eventually, but certainly ot at the young age I did. Pokemon was really an amazing phenomenon.

Didn't you say pokemon was your childhood Pinky? But like what would you have done in all of those hours of pokemon if pokemon didn't exist? I have no clue what I would do. I never would have met all of you guys without pokemon, very sad.

Id probably had played something else? ,:3 Sure pokemon played a role in my childhood because I met other people that were into it as well, but if it didn't exist we would probably just move on to something else. If it just suddenly stopped existing id still be friends with you~! =w=

First off, why would anyone even think about imagining life without pokemon?
Anyway, if pokemon never existed, I would probably not be as interested in video games, tv, or even life. If it became illegal, I would start something secret that will still keep pokemon alive. If it just stopped coming out, I would start creating my own pokemon stories, etc. and rely on other fans for other games. |

Well, you asked "What would life be like without Pokemon?" The logical response would be...
Hm. Let me put it this way. Let's say... I built a machine that could travel through alternate dimensions, universes, and timelines. Let's travel to an Earth in the 1990's where GAME FREAK and Nintendo never came up with Pokemon. Then, let's travel decades later to 2010, in that same world. The Lite in that world would never have gotten into video games. If he had, he probably would have gotten into them much later, or into a different franchise at the same age. That alternate Lite (Let's call him Darc) would probably be playing a different famous Nintendo franchise. He probably would be playing Mario or Zelda more frequently. He definitely would be playing Metroid, since I only excluded Pokemon. Darc and the rest of the world would have no idea what the heck Pokemon would be if you told them about it. Let's take a broader view. Pikachu's face wouldn't be filling posters and window signs and kid's bedroom walls, or on their GameBoy screen upon boot up. Competing franchises such as Digimon, Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior, or Shin Megami Tesumi would either be non-existent or be somewhat more popular. Since "our world's" Nintendo is almost completely driven by demand for Pokemon, they would probably push other franchises in this one. Who knows, maybe GAME FREAK would actually make something different than Pokemon. Maybe THAT would become a blockbuster hit. We couldn't really know for sure... |

It sounds absolutely horrible. I would seriously go into depression. No really. My childhood, GONE.
Pokemon is something more then 'just a game' to me. It's more then a hobby. Heck, it's more then a obsession. It's a way of life. I first experienced that pure joy when I was at Walmart one day and I played a green gameboy with Crystal version on it, and I loved it. Strangely enough, for my 7th birthday I got a green gameboy bundle with a copy of Crystal. I loved that thing to death. The absolute thought that of it leaving, or never even existing, would do bad things to my brain. On the other side, it would keep my memories alive. And if Nintendo gave up on our beloved little yellow friend.......we'd keep it alive. Pokemon forever. |
