Default Sensor dust

Or: Why you shouldn't be curious and open up the lens just to look at it

I think I'm going to have to take it to a professional photo shop and have it cleaned.

Spoiler Alert:

Nasty, eh? This will happen if your camera lens' aperture is small enough that the DOF is so small, even the things right on the sensor are visible.

Whoaa, it may be nasty to you but I actually find it quite fascinating looking, oddly enough. The particles are speckled everywhere, but it makes it look like some sort of really fascinating graphic. But, you're talking to someone who loves glitch artwork so perhaps that's why I find a malfunction to be pretty looking. >w>

Well, turns out blowing things out helps a lot when it comes to the dust. Yeah, not all of them are out, but it's mostly out. Some dust is still to be expected, of course, if you've got an exposed sensor, but thankfully, this won't affect most shots - the shot is deliberately taken with minimum aperture. Under most circumstances (f-number less than 11), you won't even notice that they're there because they're out of focus.

Still, the less dust there are, the merrier. Right?

Had to update: I actually went out and bought a sensor cleaning kit.

It's day and night...

Spoiler Alert:

I used up all four swabs to get it this clean, though. Money well spent.
