I hope that they'll just put Voltorb Flip and Slots in the JP Version, then keep it for the U.S. version and then just remove the slots for the EU version. I mean, would the Simulated Gambling rating descriptor really make Pokémon E10+? I doubt it, and heck, if it does, that's great because if you're under 10 you probably can't understand half the things being said by the NPCs anyway.

I don't think that the Japanese versions will lose their Game Corners, as the Japanese are relatively mellow about this kind of thing. However, it is is not outrageous to suggest the American versions will be without Game Corners. If one moron makes a big deal about it and gets offended Game Freak may have to compromise. I think this has happened before...

I have the Japanese version of HeartGold, and It has different games in the Games corner than the english one.
The Jap. one only has Smeargle slots, and the English one's a Coin flip. (seen my friend play it) The games corner is fun, but it's just there as an extra. I like it though. |

They could solve the game corner issue so easily without having to horribly butcher up everything for the sake of gamble removal. First of all it's called a GAME corner, so why not just turn it into a place full of ARCADE GAMES? Insert coin? Hell yes! Let's have addictive clones of pinball, space invaders, and everything else you can think of.
Not only does it solve the gambling problem gracefully, but it makes for people to get renewed interest in the GC. I don't know about you but I only played the slots very little. It's so much more practical to BUY the coins. With the slots games you just hit a button and hope for the best. It's boring and slow. Why not add more entertainment value to the place? |

I love that idea, like a game with an Infernape throwing Pokeballs down a construction site, and you (Pikachu) have to jump over them. Along with other arcade game rip-offs. But I have one question...
How would you 'win' coins with arcade games? |

Personally I don't see how bad sales will decrease when parents would see a DS game had 'gambling' as the reason for E10+.
Any sensible parent would realize that virtual slots does not have a correlation with real slots. Since virtual money doesn't give you an outlook on real money. At least that's how it worked with me. |

First of all, IT'S NOT REAL GAMBLING, and second, why hasn't anyone made a patch to put the slots back in
This is the problem, Americans run on fear, and they are afraid that the slots will turn children into criminals, as a result, the loveable retard Jack Thompson made this harder than Megaman 2 minigame, and it's..... BORING And another problem, several people at NOA wanted it to be E10+ because of the slots, but then Reggie was like "ZOMG POKEMON IS FOR KIDS UNDER 10 ONLY NO TEENS OR ADULTS ALLOWED!!!!!" and thus they made a minigame starring the most UNORIGINAL Pokemon of all time Last edited by Masterge77; July 9, 2010 at 01:16:36 PM. |

An Idea
A good game would be skee ball. You aim the pokeball and press a to throw it. Nintendo SHOULD get ideas from here!
