No posts yet?
I'm kinda surprised. Last thing I was doing was taking on the Black Skyscraper, so that I could receive the Shiny Gible. Little did I know the last floor had Pokémon in the 80's. My team's in the 60's. Reached about floor 4 or 5 before finding this out. |

I was initially gonna wait until the game came out so that people who start the game and post here don't get entirely spoiled, but whatever.
My entire team is currently grinding against Audino all the way to level 70. After that, I'm taking on the rest of Unova that I haven't explored. After I got swamped by the Shadow Triad in Icirrus... never again... |

I'm still on a hunt for Hidden Hollows. I could only find 2, counting the one Bianca tells you about. Even though I haven't made much progress, I WILL find them all and use them SO MUCH! They're a really great concept.

Guys, please avoid off-topic discussion in this thread. This thread's sole purpose is to post what you had recently done in your game. If you want to discuss a specific topic of the games in detail, then create a thread in Black 2/White 2 board.
This serves as a warning to all. Next time, an infraction shall be issued. Last edited by The Spirit of Time; August 7, 2012 at 03:45:52 AM. |

Got my copy today. Plenty of older guys in line at the store, many being college students.
Upon putting it in the 3DS, I learned that the orchestration quality of the intro music is above the standard of previous games, so we're off to a good start! Oh, and it's apparently worth sixty coins on Club Nintendo! Last edited by Cat333Pokémon; October 7, 2012 at 10:58:24 AM. |

Well, I just took my first break, and I've done quite a few things. Mainly, I caught the first 3 members of my party, and beat Cheren and Roxie. Both of them took 2 tries to beat, mainly because of my stupidity, but the 2nd try wasn't that difficult So far, my team is: Ophiuchus (Snivy) - Lv. 16 Ryu (Riolu) - Lv. 17 Amaterasu (Growlithe) - Lv. 18 Last edited by ThePokeMan; October 7, 2012 at 11:37:06 AM. |

Well, since I just got mine from Walmart I have been getting into it, but not that far. I was just at Floccesy Ranch, no I didn't get a Riolu. But I choose an Oshawott to defeat them! While I was at Floccesy Ranchonly wild Psyduck appeared for some reason, I think they are coming for me!!
So far: Oshawott (Lv 13) No Badges. |

The only reason I haven't been posting up a storm here yet was because I was busy from the moment I bought this game. Currently I'm planning on spammin' me up 5 (Yes, FIVE) Genesects. 2 for me, 2 because of Genesect, and 1 to use in battles. I already have my whole team planned out and I'm probably gonna use this whole day to relax to Aspertia music. My starter's Snivy~

Just entered Castelia City. A harlequin will give you the Bicycle a moment after. I traded over an Exp Share from my Black to White 2 to make leveling the Riolu easier.
Also, Pokemon out the wazoo. Went to Gamestop with a friend to pick up our respective versions and have already put in a good five hours. Oh, and you can get Genesect right away without the first badge. Didn't forget my Keldeo, either! edit: they changed dogars :/ Last edited by DashArmy; October 7, 2012 at 02:59:04 PM. Reason: aww |

Of course they changed Dogars, it was a Japanese word that no one would understand. Although something like "Did you know that Koffing is called 'Dogars' in another land?" would've been appreciated. And speaking of Riolu, it's gonna be tough tackling that. 5% chance at Floccessy Ranch isn't exactly readily available. But... it's part of my projected team... so I must! |

Castelia Sewers has a pretty nice BGM. It's also highly populated with double battles of Zubats and Grimers, so if you want to level up it's a nice place.
edit: You can surf without a badge, apparently. Riding my Keldeo on the water in the sewers, aww yeah. Last edited by DashArmy; October 7, 2012 at 03:22:46 PM. |

Having an individual gym theme variation for each gym leader is pretty awesome. Burgh in Castelia has an amazing gym design along with a pretty nice BGM. They outdid themselves with the gym themes. I just wished they would have revamped the battle BGM a little bit more.
I found a Torchic over on my Black version that I didn't train so I'm replacing my Tepig with that for the most part, because Blaziken is awesome. Last edited by DashArmy; October 7, 2012 at 03:55:13 PM. |

So here is another report:
I just arrived int Castelia City, so that means the story line has pretty much caught up from there. Team Plasma is still looking awesome in the ninja attire! I EASILY beat Roxie with my Magnemite! I caught him in the Virbank Complex, I was either going to get him or Magby. I just Confuse, Paralyzed, Sonic Boomed, dead; Each time that worked. i like the Medal Box feature, I have obtained 6 so far! That is something I really like about this game, too. So here I am, taking on Castelia. So far: Dewott (Lv 18) Magnemite (Lv. 17) 2 Badges. 6 Medals. |

Although I didn't make much progress, haven't even set foot on a route yet, I've apparently triggered a Memory Link event. Memory Link, if you didn't already know, requires you to connect with the first games if you have a 2nd DS lying around, and it causes flashbacks to happen which tell of events that took place within the 2 year time gap (I suppose.) The Breeder in the PokéCenter did something. I don't know what's happening, but I'm totally recording what it is. |

Well, I beat Burgh this morning, following a series of new things happening last night. My original strategy was to blaze through with my Growlithe, but then I adapted a new method. Against Burgh, I beat his Swadloon with my Grimer, his Dwebble with my Lucario, and beat Leavanny with Growlithe.
So... -Ophiuchus evolved at Level 17. -Ryu evolved at Level 19 (at what I THOUGHT was night, which is what surprised me). -I caught an Eevee, my 4th member, in the garden hidden in Castelia City. -I caught a Grimer, the 5th member of my team, in the Castelia City Sewers. -I did a grinding session in the Cast. City garden. And so far, my team is: Ophiuchus (Servine) - Lv. 20 Ryu (Lucario) - Lv. 20 Amaterasu (Growlithe) - Lv. 21 Cryogenus (Eevee) - Lv. 19 Toxified (Grimer) - Lv. 20 Last edited by ThePokeMan; October 8, 2012 at 09:14:33 AM. |

I just filmed Red Fog of Terror 3~
God, I love how a Pokémon is fighting a Supernatural entity. The fact that the dialogue gets dark between one of the monsters and your main character is the sweet, sweet cherry on top. The creepy music actually sends chills down my spine. The original film is definitely the creepiest, though. |

So here is another report:
So I have been chilling in Castelia, trying to beat Burgh, that wasn't working out... I must have tried to beat him about 6 times and couldn't beat him! I lost a lot of money doing that, and I on'y had 2 pokemon and was doing poorly with one of them, so I trained my 2 pokemon in the Desert Resort (surprisingly open even if you haven't beat Burgh)! I caught a Trapinch there, which helped me beat Burgh. I an now at Nimbasa, and this is the time for Trapinch to shine. So far: Dewott (Lv 30) Magnemite (Lv 26) Trapinch (Lv 21) 3 Badges. 11 Medals. |

You can sell a Casteliacone to the baker lady in the trailer on Route 5 for 2000$ profit, so if you can sell the same thing to her over and over, there's a good way to make a bunch of money. I won't be able to test it until I find a flying type to teach Fly to though, so I'll get back to you guys on that.
edit: Haha, oh wow, it works. brb selling 32 castelia cones edit again: It comes in limited supplies and restocks daily. So, basically you can make 20,000 pokedollars profit every day. That's still not bad. Last edited by DashArmy; October 8, 2012 at 03:50:47 PM. |

Aaand, I have officially completed my final team in the Desert Resort! Thanks to Cryogenus, I didn't have trouble running away from anything (who knew he'd have Run Away...) I also managed to find a Fire Stone with the Dowsing Machine in the Desert Resort, so Amaterasu is ready and waiting to be evolved, whenever that comes to pass.
So, my final team currently stands at: Ophiuchus (Servine) - Lv. 21 Ryu (Lucario) - Lv. 21 Amaterasu (Growlithe) - Lv. 21 Cryogenus (Eevee) - Lv. 20 Toxified (Grimer) - Lv. 21 Sandragon (Trapinch) - Lv. 21 More grinding to come in Castelia Garden to ready for Elesa, but Sandragon should be able to have a field day with her~ Last edited by ThePokeMan; October 8, 2012 at 07:00:23 PM. |

After realizing my Servine hasn't been putting out much damage and feels really frail, I decided to stick its stats in an IV calculator. Assuming best case--that is, no EVs--except about 20 in Attack, it's about the absolute worst it can possibly be. So yeah, no wonder it feels useless in battle...because it is. Looks like Lucario shall be its permanent replacement.

I've actually made some REAL progress since the last time I've played! Made it to Virbank City and caught me my new buddy, Growlithe "BlazMeteor." I wish they could raise the character limit, I wanted to name it "FlamingMeteor" because that's the first thing that popped in to my mind. Not even the full word Blaze would fit. The party's here so far: Snivy- Level 12. Mareep- Level 14. Riolu- Level 13. Growlithe- Level 13.
I played this game aaaaallll day in school. At full volume, too. Aint no teacher gonna tell me video games aren't allowed in school. The funny thing is that some of my teachers were watching me play, too. I guess I'm such a great student and multitasker~ But Cheren gave me some real trouble. It took me 3 or 4 tries to beat him. I was going for brute force, but I had to develop a strategy so he wouldn't just simply sweep me. Thanks, Mareep~<3 Then it's just been battles, tutorials, the like. Now that I'm in Virbank, I notice how HURTFUL Roxie can be to her dad and how much I want to beat her so I can make some movies. ...Pokémon? They didn't replace it with something Koffing or Poison related? And her voice... sounds cute! What a strange choice, but ah well, DOGARS! will live on forever. Also, if no one has noticed yet (which you should've), you can simply move items directly from Pokémon to Pokémon, instead of from Pokémon to bag first. Although I haven't made any progress since I last posted, except for making my Pokémon Level 15 all, has anyone noticed that the Entralink has been completely redesigned? Well, the place looks similar, but there's something largely new. Now you only need yourself to complete missions, but you can play with over 100 other people real time. The missions are easy, fun, and a great way to get shards. *Wink wink* So now I'm just spamming the missions to get stuff~

Hmm, after having a bad day in school and playing one of the worst games of golf this season, I get this in the mail:
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, this just made my day! I just started up the game, chose Oshawott as a starter, and beat Hugh for the first time. The introduction of this game is actually going by really quickly, I also like how there are quick tutorials instead of long ones. I won't be using Oshawott for long though, I'm planning to replace him with my real starter Pokemon: Solosis Oh, and I also got my Genesect via Mystery Gift. :3 |

The day is wrapped up at Castelia City. All I've done since I've been here was check out every single pier and boat, so not much happened. But I do plan on doing all those surveys at the analytics place. Roxie wasn't all that hard after I trained my Growlithe to Level 15. She was pretty easy and the whole game kind of flows with me. Plus, the Funfest Missions give me great challenges that actually HELP me and I loooove the Exploring Power +. More chances to see my favorite EXP bucket~ Making movies seems hard, but when I return to Virbank soon, I'll try to master it. It seems totally fun~ Current team standings are Servine- Level 18. Flaaffy- Level 16. Riolu- Level 19. Growlithe- Level 17. 2 Badges, 16 Medals, and about 7 and a half hours of playtime.

Didn't play at all yesterday. Too busy and preoccupied (something taking precedence over pokeymanz!? ) But I got back to it today. Not a whole lot accomplished, but still did something things nonetheless.
Updates 1.) Thought that I couldn't get Eevee for my team, but even after I found out this assumption was in error, I decided to go find myself an Ampharos 2.) AMPHAROS GET (Agnelyyyn)-- I was worried about catching a mareep with levels 19 and 20 team members, but while waiting for it to growl Fyniq's defense down to the point where he couldn't KO her with one hit, I just decided to throw a Great Ball and see what happens. First time catch. 3.) Ace Trainer at the bottom of the battle tower will give you whatever elemental hold item matches your starter pokemon. So, Fyniq now has a Mystic Water. 4.) And even 2 years later, that lady is still at the Pokemon Center to tell you about Geonet... 5.) So, now a school-kid, the janitor's son, is president of the Battle Company with two 17-level pokemon...SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT 6.) Agnelyyyn goes from level 5 to 16 in a couple hours. PROGRESS. Well, that third gym was certainly interesting. Me First is amazingly fun to play around with, especially when you're going against opponents who often use attacks that would be strong if dealt against themselves. Cases in point: Sewaddle and Dwebble with Bug Bite and Smack Down, respectively. All trainers in the gym were easy as pie...until I got to the tie-dye room where Burgh was. That was easily the longest battle I've had in the game so far, at about 40 turns, most of which against his Leavanny. I went through 3 Lemonades and 2 Fresh Waters. It seemed he was smart enough to boost the speed of his Pokémon, making Me First useless. Force Palm had almost no use either, and Quick Attack is still rather weak. (I didn't even touch Metal Sound, which is pretty much useless for a physical attacker like Lucario. Still don't have an okay fourth moove.) By the end of everything, here is the PP I had:
Quick Attack: 4/30 Force Palm: 6/10 Me First: 0/10 Lucario ~ Lv. 26 Zorua ~ Lv. 20 (It's traded in, but I'm not going to 'cheat' with it, instead using it to get out of sticky situations.) Purrloin ~ Lv. 4 (Cut slave for now) Roggenrolla ~ Lv. 17 (Strength slave for now) Servine now sits in the Wall of Shame in the PC, regretting its awful stats. I was considering Mareep for a third team Pokémon, but I have no idea right now. I usually like having a fire-type somewhere in there, so I might pick up a Growlithe. Also, I somehow have 33 hours logged already. I blame the "RPG rule" of wandering around and seeing who gives you free stuff. So far, I've gotten the Amulet Coin, Quick Claw, Miracle Seed, TwistedSpoon, Rare Bone, Leftovers, a Poké Toy, and a Heart Scale. Last edited by Cat333Pokémon; October 10, 2012 at 12:40:03 AM. |

I've started to play and put my team together (I traded two faves in, yes I know sorry not a purist on this run trying to really enjoy it).
I'll list my team later. While looking to catch a venipede that first one I caught was modest, the next lowered attack and raised defense, third the same, the fourth which gets on my team lowers S.Def and raises speed. Now searching for a Magnemite the first I caught was Adamant which is just really bad humor. I still have to try to get a Magnemite but it should be fun. Team to be listed later. |

I finally beat Cheren! I was stuck with a Riolu with 10 HP against Cheren's Lillipup who had over half it's HP left. I knew 1 normal Quick Attack would not be able to take it out, but I issued the attack anyway. "Critical Hit!" My Quick Attack got a crit, which was just enough to take out his Lillipup.
Take that, Lillipup! You won't be kicking my butt again! >: D ...Anyway ^_^' I just made it to Virbank City and fought my first level 12 Audino. When I beat it, I got this message: "Cytosis (Solosis) gained 1512 experience!" I knew Audino would give me a lot of experience points, but not that many. o.o In the end, my level 11 Solosis jumped to level 15. My current team is as follows: Solosis~ Lv. 15 Riolu~ Lv. 14 Psyduck~ Lv. 12 Last edited by Reuniclus; October 10, 2012 at 03:49:59 AM. |

Sort of a useless update. Caught an Eevee, Named it Cyrus, put it in the PC box.
I never had plans for an Eevee on my team, I named it Cyrus cause Cy is my bud but now I see I've made an ironic and coincidental decision since I've found out Cy named a Buizel after me and placed it in a PC box never to be seen again. good one~ |

Now I'm at the Elite 4 building and I couldn't be any more unprepared for the champion. I've lost to teh champ twice. I've also lost to Shauntal like, 3 times. DARN CHANDELURE. My team has too many weaknesses to Chandelure's moves. It can Super-effective ALL of my pokemon.
Tip: Chandelure has Energy Ball, Psychic, Shadow Ball, and Fire Blast. Be prepared. (Note: I traded over my Emboar from my White Game) Destructo~Magnezone~61 Leavonna~Leavanny~57 Wilbur~Emboar~57 Mito~Reuniclus~55 Megatron~Golurk~51 Delish~Vanilluxe~50 |

I just beat Roxie who was much easier than Cheren. I had a Solosis with me in order to defeat her within 3 turns. I also picked up a Growlithe before leaving Virbank City, so I'll be training this little guy too. Currently though, I'm in the Castelia sewers and my team is a little underleveled. I must say, I'm impressed at the difficulty level of this game; it can be very hard if you aren't levelled up to the right point.
Mr current team is: Solosis Lv. 21 Lucario Lv. 19 (this one evolved more quickly than I expected) Psyduck Lv. 18 Growlithe Lv. 17 Oshawott Lv. 8 (This is my HM slave for now ) |

Where was I last? Castelia City? Well, now I've checked out every single building, talked to every single person, battled every single trainer, took all the surveys, and basically just followed the RPG rules (Talk to everyone, go everywhere, interact with everything.) I even got my dozen Casteliacones and are currently being held until I get to the Gourmet Maniac. I need cash for my Super Repels. And even before I got to Gym Street for my Riolu's massage, it suddenly evolved in the Battle Company. What a nice surprise. And now I know what Bianca says for super happy Pokémon. "What great friends you are! It's so nice how you trust each other! It makes me kinda jealous!" At least I hope that's it, it's what my first 3 Pokémon have for their friendship description.
So then the sewer was nice, traveling with Hugh makes battling easier since he heals you constantly. But that thing is huge, and I wish the water would go down. It seems like there could be items down there. *Wink wink* Then I caught me a Zubat "CaveMenace" (Obvious name) Afterwards, I spent a while trying to find an Eevee, which I did. It's going to be my Vaporeon "Juice." I honestly hope no one gets that reference. Anyway, then I just started having fun with Funfest Missions, battling Audino, and preparing to crush Burgh and his creepy looking gym. Current standings are: Servine- Level 18. Lucario- Level 21. Flaaffy- Level 18. Growlithe- Level 20. Zubat- Level 21. Eevee- Level 18. Badges- 2. Medals- 20. 11 hours and 3 minutes. Last edited by TurtwigX; October 10, 2012 at 05:34:00 PM. |

Like Old Man Yoshi, I'm taking this game super slow and investigating every nook and cranny, as well as trying to grind on levels and complete the Pokédex as I go. I love PokéStar studios, I've completed about 4 films so far, and they're really fun! So I finished up in the southwest area of the map and headed over to Castelia. I've been in Castelia City for the past 3 days going on Royal Unova to get money (with the Amulet Coin in hand), as well as battling the Game Freak employees everyday and buying a whooooole bunch of Casteliacones. I beat Burgh first try and explored every area I could in the sewers and ruins. I finally realized that there was a park in the middle of Castelia City, so I went over there, ran around in the dark grass a bit, and look what I found! A lovely, perfect Cottonee (<3) and an Eevee. I'm pretty sure I would've killed somebody if that Cottonee was shiny, because I would've missed out on an Eevee. But anyways, I caught the Eevee on my last Great ball (yes, you better believe I was sweating bullets)! I believe I'm about done in Castelia City for now, so I think I'll head north after catching a Cottonee for my team.
Team Dewott (Narwhal) (M) Lv. 26 Flaaffy (Mouton) (M) Lv. 20 Lucario (Emanation) (M) Lv. 21 Tranquill (Pavo) (M) Lv. 24 Growlithe (Pyro) (M) Lv. 20 Lillipup (F) Lv. 7 (Pick-up is very useful while I still have room in my team.) YOSHI'S POKEYMAN ADVENTURE - Day 3
Woke up in the midst of a sand-storm. YOSHI and the TEAM OF AWESOMENESS braved the elements (with sand in our eyes) and battled our way through this large sandbox. Even picked up a new buddy DARUMAKA with FIRE THAT BURNS in the process. Covered in dust, YOSHI and the TEAM OF AWESOMENESS found salvation in what seemed like an empty shopping mall. After the manager handed us the title to the place without any thought (brilliant business strategy) as we walked through the door, we stopped even more random strangers and had them set up shop. One of the shopowners was YOSHI's buddy CAT, who set up a raffle station and Following that, we pressed onto Nimbasa City. We saw pretty lights and went to the amusement park. After puking our lunch on the rollercoaster and taking a romantic ferris wheel ride with a stranger we hit the next gym. Blinded by the lights, we easily made it through the trainers on stage. Finally got to ELESA who has a REALLY FREAKING ANNOYING EMOLGA who made half of the TEAM OF AWESOMENESS pass out from the annoyingnessnessness. Despite all odds though, we came out on top and got OH BOY ANOTHER SHINY BADGE!!!. Before leaving, we took a peek at Gear Station because YOSHI LIKES TRAINS. Rested and ready to ride, we head out along Route 5 and find this maid in a trailer who can sniff items in your bag. Apparently those ice cream cones we bought back in Castelia for $100 each are "very rare" and she wants to buy them off us for $2000 each. JACKPOTTING! Following that we see a large crowd. We thought someone was giving away free candy, but it was actually just some trainer on a motorcycle who likes to repeat his name a lot. After easily taking him out we head along the bridge. Apparently this bridge was nicknamed the Charizard Bridge, though not a CHARIZARD was to be seen in sight, which disappointed YOSHI since CHARIZARD is his favorite Pokemon. After that journey we arrived in Driftveil City. Took in some sightseeing and decided to call it a day and sleep in the hotel with beds 6X the size of people. TEAM STATUS: YOSHI - 4 badges, 22 medals, adventure time: 10:21 Dewott - Lv 26 - Tackle, Cut, Water Pulse, Razor Shell Lucario - Lv 31 - Bone Rush, Quick Attack, Force Palm, Counter Herdier - Lv 22 - Strength, Tackle, Work Up, Bite Tranquill - Lv 23 - Gust, Air Cutter, Fly, Quick Attack Magnemite - Lv 21 - Tackle, Magnet Bomb, ThunderShock, Spark Darumaka - Lv 20 - Facade, Uproar, Fire Fang, Headbutt |

Burgh's gym is so weird. No matter how many times I see it, it'll still be that same weird as before. Nope, even weirder.
So after climbing to the top and experiencing a Zubat evolution, I took out Burgh in only 2 tries, scoring me the Insect Badge. Now I could've easily followed Colress to Route 4 for our battle, but I decided to be a jerk, so I stood him up. Back to my little corner of Unova to make some MOVIES! And also spam more Funfest Missions because I wanna keep on with the force. Not gonna stop til I get enough. I guess the current standings would be appreciated, though they haven't changed much. Servine- Level 20. Lucario- Level 22. Flaaffy- Level 20. Growlithe- Level 22. Zubat- Level 24. Eevee- Level 18. Badges- 2. Medals- 21. 12 hours and 53 minutes. |

Well, I just beat Burgh and Elesa. Burgh was tough for me since I was severely underleveled and he got crit hax, but Elesa was...quite easy. I added a Trapinch to my team, which is the exact reason why I had an easy time with Elesa since it knows both Dig and Rock Slide. Even though I'm still underleveled in general, I can feel my team becoming stronger. I guess the next place I'm heading to is Driftveil City. I should be getting my last team member soon, if my thoughts are correct.
My current team as it stands is: Solosis Lv. 29 (I was hoping to have a Duosion before taking on Elesa, but I was impatient ) Lucario Lv. 26 (This guy needs some better attacks. Force Palm is getting a little weak...) Psyduck Lv. 24 Growlithe Lv. 23 Trapinch Lv. 27 Oshawott Lv. 8 (Still an HM slave and will be replaced soon) Last edited by Reuniclus; October 10, 2012 at 08:44:40 PM. Reason: Spelling |

My first check in on the thread. Cleared out the sports arenas in preparation for Elesa, after seeing the levels of the first trainer. After wandering around a bit, I decided to look around in Join Avenue, where I recruited two Barbers. Using the two barbers, I maxxed out my Eevee's friendship so I could get an evolution out of it. I may be able to try the fourth gym now.
Current team: Gilgamesh - Dewott - Lv. 28 Heimdal - Lucario - Lv. 24 Denki - Flaaffy - Lv. 26 Amaterasu - Growlithe - Lv. 24 Tsuki - Umbreon - Lv. 23 [PLACEHOLDER] |
