My latest addition, a GameBoy Light. It's essentially the same as a GameBoy Pocket, but with a Electroluminescent backlight screen (like many of the cellphones/pagers/etc used during the 90s). These were only available in Japan so not many people know about them. Got it from someone off DigitPress (a video game collector forum I visit) for $30. The casing is a little scratched up, but other then that works great! And with that, I now have at least one of every GameBoy system released. I'll get a group photo of them all up later. EDIT: Pic of all the GameBoy systems is up Oh yeah, two weeks ago I got a slim PS2 (silver one) with the hookups and two controllers for $20. I also got an N64 Dex Drive (device to back up N64 memory cards to computer) brand new in box for $11 with free shipping. In addition, I just ordered an N64 GameShark Pro V3.3 for another $10 so I can back up saves directly on cartridges as well. I haven't really been buying many games recently because I've been spending money to protect/nicely display my current collection of games. Last edited by Yoshi648; January 29, 2012 at 11:04:21 AM. |

Two weeks ago I got a non-discolored *OMGRARE* Super Nintendo with two (really dirty) controllers, power supply, Super Mario World and Mortal Kombat 3 for $10. This now brings me up to three SNES systems (one fully discolored, one half discolored, one non discolored). I'll probably be selling off the fully discolored one with Super Mario World (since I already have it). I already sold MK3 and made half my money back already
I also got Super Mario RPG for $15. It's missing the label, but still a very good price considering they still go for $30-40. I also got something else that is kinda gaming related, but I'm not going to show it until it comes in the mail this week. |

That's right, a 1982 Commodore 64. This was THE computer to have during the 80s and was the best selling computer of all time. For $20 (+ $15 shipping) I got the system with the floppy cable (the drive will be next purchase), power supply, and the original box: Check out the specs for this beast: And yes, I need to uphold my tradition of "obsolete and new technology working together" To learn more about the Commodore 64, consult your local Wikipedia I will now end this post, with a Commodore 64 commercial with a catchy song that WILL get stuck in your head |

I now consider myself owned... nothing in my video game collection could ever top the legendary Commodore 64... no, not even my Sega Dreamcast. Regardless, you go have fun with that C64. Go make some killer chiptunes with it. :3

Picked up Need for Speed ProStreet for $12 yesterday. I'm trying to force myself to not think that any NFS games past 2006 will inevitably be horrible.
There was also a PS2 for $30 where I bought it (GameStop inevitably), but for some reason I didn't get it. Last edited by NismoZ; March 24, 2012 at 06:01:12 AM. |

A current-generation Apple AirPort Extreme wireless base station. Hopefully, this will resolve some of the connection issues I've had while using my computer on the second floor of my place.

I got Kid Icarus Uprising a few days ago. The game really impresses me with the new fighting mechanics; the only issue I have is controlling the camera angle.
Other than that, I received 5 AR cards with the game. At first I thought they we cool to just look at, but then I realized that you can make them fight each other. In the end I made Pit and Paletuna fight against each other, and Paletuna won Last edited by Reuniclus; March 29, 2012 at 10:28:02 AM. |

Let's see, I got 6 still in package e-Reader cards (Balloon Fighter, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong 3, Excitebike, Pinball, and *I forget*) for $6. I also found two Donkey Konga controllers (1st party) at a thrift store for $5 each so I got those and then got Donkey Konga (complete) on eBay for $10 shipped.

- Yamaha FX325 acoustic-electric guitar, to replace the Yamaha guitar I bought 9 years ago. I still plan to keep my 9-year-old guitar, but I'm probably going to let my mother use it, as she would like to learn how to play it. Maybe someday, my nieces will end up learning guitar with it as well. :3
- Hitachi Travelstar 500GB SATA II hard drive (rotational), to replace the dying 320GB that's currently in my MacBook with SATA 1. I've learned that SATA 2 drives will work with SATA 1 systems, although the drives will transfer at half of their fullest speed potential. (SATA 1 runs at 1.5 gigabits per second [Gbps], SATA 2 runs at 3 Gbps) Last edited by Seiji J. Konokama; April 11, 2012 at 11:09:59 AM. Reason: Wasn't satisfied with the formatting... X3 |

I'm a Craigslist shopper, so I got a used Xbox 360 "Pro" (the first revision) with a 20 GB hard drive for $70. Given it works with external drives too, I could just partition my external hard drive if I need to, and there are plenty of 120 GB drives on Craigslist cheap. As for red rings, the previous owners took good care of it and only wanted to get rid of it because they recently bought a slim model. While it's about 3˝ years old, it hasn't had any issues yet.

Stuff I've gotten recently:
*Nintendo 64 + official Expansion Pak + RF adapter - $10 - I already have an Expansion Pak and can easily resell it for $20 *Spyro the Dragon: Year of the Dragon (PS1) - original release with original case/instructions. This will be replacing my current disk only game which I can sell for the $5 I spent on this *PS2/PS3 component cables (official Sony brand) - also $5 |

If it counts, I spent $15 to get my old "suitcase" computer a new clock battery. Surprisingly, the same battery type is used in certain cameras. I also spent about $10 in CR2032 batteries to get my "new" Dreamcast VMU's to do more than store save data. It's times like this that Walmart and RadioShack can be my best friends. :3

Whoa... I never expected the translucent N64's to be worth so much. That being said, I'm hanging on to mine.
You do realize that you bought one of the very best GameCube games ever, right? Last edited by Seiji J. Konokama; May 11, 2012 at 06:07:14 PM. |

More old technology time!
Got a Commodore 1571 5.25" floppy drive to go with my Commodore 64. *Mario Kart included for size comparison of this bad boy. Weighs about 6.5 lbs. Someone on DigitPress had it for free (just pay shipping (for me was $12)) since they were unable to test it. It powers up just fine, now to find some Commodore-formatted disks to test/use with it. |

- Sega Genesis Model 1 with High Definition (high resolution) Graphics - $10 without the cables. I already have all the necessary cables and stuff, so this was a steal of a deal for me.
- Jet Force Gemini (Nintendo 64) - $3 - Final Fantasy (NES) - $1 - Game Genie (NES) - $3 I've recently dismantled an old MIDI cable that I got for free, and it might be perfect for the Genny's AV out. I'll investigate wiring diagrams later. :3 Last edited by Seiji J. Konokama; June 4, 2012 at 10:52:09 AM. |
