I'm not sure where I'd vote. After Lenora, the gym leaders got laughably easy. Then once I got to the northeast area of the region after beating the Elites and Ghetsis, all the trainers there skyrocketed some 15-20 levels above my team. Things got ugly after that. lol
I guess I'd put +1. That level spike did hamper my progress harder than any one trainer did. x_x Last edited by Armads; April 22, 2011 at 04:58:36 PM. Reason: lolwrong |

I chose 3. Lenora, Elesa and Iris wren't at all easy. I was defeated by the fourth gym leader and was nearly defeated by the other two. N was also very hard to beat and Ghetsis was destructive. I lost against him. The Elite Four was also too hard (the first time). I haven't challenged it again and faced Alder yet. Even the trainers of the eastern part of Unova and those in the stadiums proved to be challenging. Of course, I can't forget Cynthia who demolished me twice.
The game was definitely challenging, but not completely difficult. It had many easy parts. |

+2 for me. A couple gym leaders were difficult to defeat, and the Elite 4 were a good challenge for my team. However, the sudden increase in the levels of trained Pokémon was a very unexpected turn, so I faced a lot of difficulty beating the trainers (in the beginning at least). I've heard that the battles with Cynthia/Morimoto and the Elite 4 redux are quite hard too, so I definitely think it's enough of a challenge for me.

For me I would have to give the game in all general a -3 for me.
After I lost to the first gym leader once it was pretty much my only time I lost to a gym leader. It was close at times but having never to lose was getting a bit to easy. Victory Road wasn't as challenging and long as it use to be where you just want to get out as soon as possible not saying it was easy to get through just bare-able to not get annoyed or frustrated over it. The Elite Four were decent when first battling them but I had no troubles with them that was to much for me. They are pretty challenging afterwards when they boost up to Lv. 70 and up even for my Lv. 100 at times. N's battle wasn't all that hard but the main reason it's at -3 is because how challenging Ghetsis was for me. He had pokemon that frustrated me and made me go down and do the whole battle over again plenty. I got lucky with a lot of critical hits out of nowhere for my team. As for afterwards when you beat the game, the legendaries are just way to easy to catch also my main problem with them is that they don't have the look that makes them legendary. The previous generations had legendaries had that feel that you know their legendaries and their different from the normal pokemon, this generations blend in to much with the normal ones and you feel like you could catch another. In all though the game was much fun and I enjoyed it and look forward to the next game they put out. |

I'd have to give it a +1. Lenora was just plain difficult and Elesa's Emolgas were annoying. As hard as Ghetsis was, I was still able to beat him in one try. But Lenora beat me so many times that I was broke by the time I defeated her.
