Good news to those who care to read! My family is finally getting a PUPPY! I'm thrilled, because we get to go pick from the litter on the 26th. They're pure bred German shepherd pups, so they're gorgeous and adorable. We went to go check them out yesterday, and they're the most playful little things I've ever met. Just imagine 10 tiny German shepherd puppies all trying to play with you at once. That was me yesterday. I'll post a few pictures later, especially after we get it! (It'll be a "her" though, because we've already put a deposit on a girl.) My favourite puppy was the runt, because she has beautiful light eyes and her ears stand up with a little crook already!

And just to break up the conversation of puppies:
My friend wants to go to PAX East for Spring Break. Only problem is I don't have a job, so no money, I don't have a car, nor do I have my license, and I have no idea when, where, and how much PAX East is going to be. |

The Penny Arcade Expo in the eastern United States. It's basically a convention for video gamers. If you feel like it, you can read this to know exactly what PAX East is.

I finally got around to getting a haircut that was supposed to happen 3 months ago. It was funny because right after a massive amount of rain and wind came from nowhere and the storm lasted a whole 20 minutes and went away. All I was thinking is that pocket must be such a mess and everything else around it must be calm. It's those pockets that always screw me up.

I would go to PAX East, but everything Quad just said applies to me, too. Except that I know it is during summer break and too expensive for me. Instead I'll probably settle for 1 or 2 days of MAGfest here in Maryland because, well, it's in Maryland.

How can you NOT love such a cute dog? (The video is of the cuteness that is a puppy running around, then chewing my shoelace.) Last edited by Luxray13579; August 14, 2012 at 08:07:09 PM. |

I know, right? She is the most beautiful puppy I've ever seen... And she's so tiny and playful! Runts are the best.

I know, I'll be sad when she gets bigger, but I'll still love her because I have a bunch of tricks and things I plan to teach her for fun. And I have an idea that I'll post a video here of the puppy meeting my cat. Maybe. If the cat behaves. Oh, and every week for a few months I'll take a picture of her to see how she grows!

Dang, that brings me back to the times when I wished we had gotten a dog since we had a cat already. Then again, for some reason, every dog hates me. I've yet to see one that actually didn't bark me away.
I've actually never smelt a marigold in my whole life. O_o Is that odd? Last edited by Fubab_107; August 14, 2012 at 10:02:55 PM. |

So, yesterday my sister took the family to a tour of SUNY Binghamton, about 190 miles away from home. So it's a 7 hour round trip driving (actually a little more since there was construction everywhere), aaaand we all decided that we didn't like it. That was a day wasted. T-T

My school year is gonna start off TERRIBLY. Not only do I not have BAND, the BEST class EVER on my schedule, but I can't change the dang thing until the TWENTY NINTH OF AUGUST. I'm gonna go crazy missing all that class time. Hopefully my mom can work her counselor scaring magic and fix my schedule...

So this week has been up and down.
My phone no longer makes/receives calls, nor will it sync with my computer. Plus some other wacky stuff causing stuff not to work. On a plus side, I finally figured out solutions to problems I had a year ago! Overall, I still achieved nothing. Aw well, I still got next week. |

And today was the first day out of the summer that I actually woke up early. It was kind of early though, probably around 7 AM. But it was nice getting up early. I took a walk to the store, got a haircut, and then came back, and it was really cool. Plus everyone in my house was asleep, so it was quiet. I gotta get up early more often now... Yeah, I liked getting up early before, then I had more time to do things throughout the day... Which was nice. I remember waking up at 5AM and then after what seemed like 12 hours later, it was only 10AM. And 10 is basically the earliest that I get up on my own during the summer.
Huh, so I watched a video on how to do basic recolours, and I think I'm addicted to recolouring. It's so much fun! But I'm only doing it for fun. I don't really have the urge to join the class at the moment. |

Recolouring is pretty fun and simple to do once you get into it. I actually struggled on that a lot when I first started spriting, you just gotta find a "touch" I guess. But yeah, spritings fun. I wish I still did it, but it's been months since I last sprited, and I probably forgot everything, but I probably didn't, who knows. |

TNT and picks 'n' things, right? I went to Mt. Rushmore when I was about 3 or so, so I really don't remember too much, which is pretty sad. I'd like to go down there and visit it once again. :3
In other news, we're counting down the days until we can go pick out our puppy from the litter. Only 5! I can't wait to show you guys the video of her meeting my cat... Once we get her, I won't be able to sleep in anymore because I have to take care of her, which totally isn't a problem! And one last thing! I received the school bus schedule for this year, and I get picked up right at my cul-de-sac (4 minutes later than last year, and minus the walk, yay!) and then I get dropped off at home a whole whopping half hour earlier than last year, which makes me incredibly happy! I'll get home before my sister, so I get more time with the dog! And to do homework. But mostly play with the dog. And gaming. |

I mentioned that my phone went FUBAR on me about 3 days ago. So today I went to the Apple store to get it checked. Turns out, I needed a full replacement. I was okay with paying a bit to have it replaced with a new one. After I got home, I tried the standard setup, but it would not recognize the SIM card,(The Phone Company card). So I called the phone company and they said I potentially have the wrong model of iPhone, which doesn't support the Phone Company I'm signed with. I go back to the Apple store to see what happened. Turns out, for some reason, my phone belonged to Company 2, and has always been. Which is odd since I was only with Company 1.(This helps understand a bit.) I then went to Company 1's store to ask what happened, turns out I was right me being with them, and they got me a copy of the original purchase phone. We took it back to the Apple store, they went to confirm the code. Turns out, they misplaced TWO Letters in the code, and registered me for a Company 2 phone instead of a Company 1. So the problem was fixed... After six hours of running back and forth between the stores.......... Hows that for Steve mocking my very being, eh? |

My iPod got trolled me when I was playing Minecraft. I dropped it and nothing worked I had to fix it for like $159 and then it came back with all of my data, everything in every game gone. They don't have to remove the battery to fix the screen do they?

It doesn't make you feel out of date really. It just likes giving you the impression of "Crap, Im outdated! Better upgrade!"
Really, I held on to one of the first iPods for a long time. Mainly because I had no money to buy any new ones. After I saw the constant updating yearly thing, I basically said unless they made it so my phone could no longer call newer phones, I'm not upgrading. |

I think it depends on how it hits the floor. While at an amusement park, I've seen someone's iPhone get dropped 10 feet onto concrete after a ride took off and there wasn't a single scratch on it (but the back of the phone and the battery did fall out), but my friends joke about how dropping the iPhone on carpet would shatter the screen.

I like to think logic just likes teasing people with things like that.
Also for some reason, I think I'm losing weight. O-o I actually weighed myself earlier out of curiosity, and it was less than last time. I just find it odd since my diet isn't exactly good... or even balanced... Nor is my exercise habits. |

If you want to go somewhere in the winter for the sake of it being the winter in somewhere much colder than where you live, then the very northeast of the US (right by the Great Lakes) is a better example because there's an overabundance of snow.

Oh God, yes~ That vacation was so necessary. The nice ocean breeze, the feel of the sandy beach on my feet, and all the burned cash on my new best friend, the boardwalk. I got my most favorite flavor of fudge, some real pizza, a Greek Gryo, and scored a couple of snow globes for my collection. I almost don't want to go back to school~

Ah the odd childhood I had... |

Wall of text.
Actually my elementary school had a middle school in a separate part of the same building (but only for the regular kids, French Immersion only went up to 6th grade) and anyways, the grade ahead of us is like the guinea pig grade. What I mean by that, is anything new that the school division or the province wants to try out in the curriculum, they get to test it out first. Now that's super fine and dandy, because then my grade gets whatever method works the best (whether it's the old one or the newly introduced one). The biggest change they made was putting the grade 6 kids in with the high school kids and having the exact same set up as the middle school kids. So we had lockers, we had no recess, we had a different teacher for each individual class, we had semesters (though not exactly like high school) and best of all, we got to do woodworking, sewing and cooking. So basically when we went into middle school officially at a different school, we already had a significant head start in those 3 classes. And I mean a massive edge, and they never did manage to keep up... So the teacher could tell which kids came from the school I went to because their marks for those 3 classes were phenomenal. |

My school is extremely vast as well, probably larger than your schools. My school has kids from kindergarten up until senior high school, as well as the freshman's course, British A-level. Due to the abundance of the students, the school is divided to several buildings, all next to each other in the same land, but separated by walls and gates.
The largest building is the one for kindergarten. They have their own building with their own gardens and playgrounds. I haven't seen the sections of it though. Next is the elementary building, which is also very huge. It is divided to two big wings. The students there are from Grade 1 till Grade 4 only. Then comes the secondary building, which itself is divided to three vast wings. One is for Grade 5 to Grade 6. The other one is for Grade 7 and 8, and the third is for Grade 9 and above. Oh, and each building of these has two floors. Last edited by The Spirit of Time; August 26, 2012 at 08:59:22 AM. |

My town leaders are just plain stupid.
The old high school had renovations done to make it better. torn down They moved the old Middle School students into a new building about .1 mile away. People keep saying it's good, but the administration just sucked. still up They moved the High School students into the old Middle School that's right next to the old High School. being torn down as I type this Making a new High School over the base of the old one. It was scheduled for completion back in April. STILL NOT DONE LOGISTICS ARE UNEXISTANT IN THIS MATTER. WHY?! |

Oh, I almost forgot. They took down both of the gymnasiums and put in a new one in place of one of them.
They put in bleachers, and they weighed down the floor too much. So, now they're going to take the new field house down too. IT WAS JUST BUILT THIS YEAR! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU |

You can find them for not too much on Amazon, or at least you used to. I'd recommend trying to find an actual Nintendo brand one if you can, though; the off-brand copies can be pretty crummy sometimes.

Two days ago, I saw someone's iPhone drop to the floor. It's still running when the user picked it up.
Also, yesterday is also the day I dropped my MacBook Air hard to the floor while open and running. It's also still running. ...I think I need to handle my stuff a bit... better. Drops can't be too good on tight components, right? Now that I'm out of classes, it's now a wait until September 10. That's when the exams start... good thing I've only got two exam days. |
