Default Something annoying ive noticed..

Has anyone else noticed that the Team Rockets dialogue is starting to get more and more unecessarily poetic and complex?

Throughout the whole of the Sinnoh saga, its like 90% of their dialogue was rhyming phrases and alliterations.

Has anyone else notice this? I liked it when they just spoke plain English.

They've sounded pretty normal to me, are you sure you're just talking about the motto?

I'm with the other Guy. Team rocket has been more poetic and rhymey with their speech lately, but not 90%, mostly when they're just talking to themselves. I'd still wish they'd stop.

Nah, im not referring to the motto (although i miss the old one). It just suddenly struck me while watching the latest episode yesterday, that their dialogue is unecessarily extensive.

Instead of a simple, "We've been looking for you all night", they insist on saying something like "we've been foraging the forest for you all the live-long night". Catchy sentences like these are okay once in a while, but not when it accounts for 90% of your entire dialogue. Excessive much?

I like the little rhyming schemes like that. I don't know I guess it shows they're creative with their lines.

I think its trying to add a bit more of comic relief to the situation for the kids.

I think that Team Rocket has gotten lame lately also, in fact any attack (now) hurts them by exploding I don't like that one bit, in fact back then the attacks use to not explode unless there was a machine involved... Differences is that

old
Pikachu used Thunderbolt on Team Rocket and they got an electrifying experience.
now
Pikachu used Thunderbolt on Team Rocket and they got an electrifying experience and the attack exploded and they 'blast off again'

A machine back then was the trigger for such blast offs
AND SOMETIMES THE WIND FROM ATTACKS ALSO TRIGGER for such blast offs as well.

Its like this on the Pokémon Animé now
Pikachu used Thunderbolt, Thunderbolt used Explosion.

I'm going wow what a lame perspective on thunderbolt.

(OF COURSE I AM REVIEWING SOME OLD EPISODES CURRENTLY SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT)

This is 100% true pci likes to give them fancy dialogue when it's incredebly annoying.

They also make Jessie come off as extremely abusive through James' and Meowth's dialogue so you can blame it all on the new dubbers.

jessie and james...they suck so much now. for the 10 years they have been on the show they have only given 1 yamma to giovanni. hopefully in the isshu they will be more successful

anyway..............

Yes, while everyone else's dialog had gotten better and has become pretty much an accurate translation thanks to TPCI, I'll be the first to admit that unfortunately Team Rocket's has gotten worse, not that they were ever really "translated" in the first place

They actually gave Togepi to Giovanni once, but Giovanni said "WTF is this crap!?" and sent it back.

Back in my day Team Rocket might've caught Pikachu.
But I do agree their Prepare for Trouble lines have been getting pretty crappy. I'm okay with changing it every episode, but when you have to resort to really distant idioms and metaphors, then you've gone too far.
How about in Isshu they actually do catch Pikachu, but it's only a wild one? Then they'll think they've been successful and go away forevrars.

Have you ever noticed that Team Rocket really doesn't care about Pikachu anymore? They just do their own crap and when Ash inevitably comes along they go "Dangit it's them"
I don't remember them mentioning Pikachu as an object of lust since they got to sinnoh

yeah ive noticed that too, the only time where even bother catching pikachu is when all their plans fails (or suceeds monumentally), and they have nothing better to do than to attempt since theyre already there.

And now for a mini rant: You'd think by now theyd notice that wherever Ash and co. go, they are sure to fail, I MEAN COME ON, HAVE YOU THREE IDIOTS NOT NOTICED THAT AFTER YEARS AND YEARS OF STALKING THIS ONE KID?! JUST GET YOUR ASSES ON A BOAT BACK TO KANTO. THE PLANS YOU MAKE ACTUALLY GET YOU PRETTY CLOSE TO ONE OF MEOWTHS FANTASIES, JUST STAY AWAY FROM ASH FOR GODS SAKE DDD===<<<
