Damn, well, I'm pretty glad I finished High School. I hated that place. I'm not sure if you knew that my High School burned down before.

I remember my 9th grade year that there were rumors spreading that some gang was going to bring guns or whatever. All of people didn't show up for class lol.

Ugh. I hate Geometry.
l can't seem to get myself to pay attention for more than 30 seconds. l'm always off doodling or dozing off, then l find out l missed the steps on how to do the homework. l hope this phase goes away soon, or I'll be failing math, which has always been my best subject... I have also developed a liking to US History. I think it's my teacher, 'cause he makes it sound so great the way he teaches us about exploration and such. I shouldn't be worrying much. lt's only my second week. |

I find my odd period days really dull and uninspiring (Algebra II Honors, Chinese II, Computer Science AP, Marching Band), probably because there never is much worth my attention, but my even days are more interesting, probably since it's more difficult (Algebra II Honors, Math Tutoring, English II Honors, Physiology). Today was an odd day, and too hot, and thus, incredibly dull.

Today was club sign-ups. How club sign-ups work is you are put into a database. Every student is. As soon as sign-ups are over, the database emails you a list of academic, atheletic, and service groups you signed up for. Well, my email came in inconclusive, meaning I did something wrong. After contacting my principle, the database doesn't come conclusive unless you are between 2 and 10 clubs. I signed up today for 13.

So I downloaded today my IGCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics Syllabus for 2012 examinations. The good thing is that we already covered more than half of the syllabus. The bad thing is that what is remaining is the hardest.
In Biology, I will be learning Classification of Living things, Dichotomous Keys, Sexual Reproduction in Plants, Growth and Inheritance, and then an easy part of Food Chains and Energy Flow, and some environmental topics. As for Chemistry, I have got Stoichiometry and Organic Chemistry. In Physics, the topics are Electricity and Nuclear Physics, which should be relatively easy due to previous knowledge in Chemistry. In terms for the other subjects, I didn't care much about printing the Syllabus, but I have got like 365 pages of English Literature, Biology, Business and ICT to photocopy. By the way, has anyone tried buying books from Nelson Thornes? |

If it's anything like what they do at my school (possibly even through the whole county) it's some sort of Co-op program. For the first half of the day, students take classes at the school. Afterwards, they go to the community college for college classes. And because we operate on the block schedule (four classes on "A-Days" and four other classes on "B-Days" with lunch in the middle), there are two different versions of this. One is every day, and one is every other day (where participants only have to go to school every other day). But who knows. I could be wrong. On another note, should I purchase the 3DS? The red one comes out tomorrow and I'm seriously considering it. The thing that I'm worried about is the set of games it has. Is Ocarina of Time worth buying (I played the original)? Are there any other games you would recomend? |

Oh, I just noticed her signature. In the beginning, I thought she was telling us that she was afraid of fighting her. Now I understand, and those punishments are pretty much hard.
In my school, fighting causes you a suspension for 3 days up to a week sometimes. |

Tomorrow happens to be my first day of school. I will be a senior this year with my international examinations in June, so it is going to be a really hard year. Currently though, I am hoping to be in the same class as my friends. I really hate being in another class, as if I am a new student again. |

I have mixed feelings towards school staring tomorrow. On one hand, I feel excited to meet my friends again and see the changes which happened to our school. However, on the other hand, knowing that this year is going to be my toughest so far is putting pressure on me. Plus, waking up early is not my favourite part of school. =/
In other unrelated news, we had a two-day vacation in a neighbouring country with my two uncles and their families. It was a fantastic stay and our hotel apartment overlooked both the sea and the swimming pool, but the road trip got me really 'car sick'. I don't think I'm physically able to withstand long hours in any sort transportation... |

Currently posting from the IT lab in school.
So today happens to be the first day of school, and so far it is all well. I turned out to be in the same class as my friends afterall. The bad thing is that I will be taught by some new teachers, which I really hate. Plus our timetable sucks a lot. Except for Tuesday and Thursday, everyday is so boring. Quite a disappointment actually. |

By the way guys, did anyone watch the latest episode of America's Got Talent? If yes, then what do you think of the finalists and who do you support? I'm personally rooting for Poplyfe the most, since they can become the Jackson 5 of today. However, Team iLuminate comes in very close second position.

Today I had to go buy a camera for a photography course I am taking. I already have a digital one, but for the class I need one that takes pictures and records it on film. Since in Berlin just about every store is closed on Sundays, I had to go to a flea market that was about an hour away by bus and train. It was pretty cool, since they had furniture, clothes, dishes, electronics, and of course the camera I needed. I bought one made in the USSR in the 50's. Not bad! Also, the amount of original Game Boys and Super Nintendos was astonishing.

- Today, we started fitness testing, and i ran a 8 minute, 28 sec. Mile. Is this good for a 13 year old?
- I did a beastly defense in our soccer scrimage today. It was just our team split in half and stuff, but i defended on the best player on their team, took the ball down, and scored. - Also, I FOUND MY WRESTLING SHOES!!! |

It sucks how we are having an English Language test and it is still the first week of school, but I guess I can't help it. Topics so far are proving to be harder than last year's, even though we barely started. I have started to get annoyed from this situation and worried too.

As for the winner, I'd REALLY like it to be iLuminate - no act screams "Vegas!" more than them (and their latest show was a flashy, electrifying extravaganza). Landau is a good singer but he's really not that great, and even though I don't listen to Frank Sinatra, I heard Landau is nowhere near as good or dynamic. The concept behind Silhouettes is original and their ideas are inspirational, but their repeated patriotic themes kinda made them look manipulative in my opinion. I'm so glad they didn't do something related to 9/11 in the finals, but I still personally believe that I can't sit through an hour of their show. |

After my DCI tryouts, I went to the beach with my friends Tricia and Neal, and we had an arguement over if I'm a secret Asian. Blonde hair and blue eyes are not Asian qualities, but math skills, empathic impulses, articulation on words, and and joining every club I can apparently are.

I'm thinking of starting a new club with some of my friends. Well, not exactly a club, it's more of a group project.
Musical Writing Club. My plan is to make a musical parodying famous (and not so famous) Broadway showtunes in a musical about the pit orchestra of a musical. The orchestra will be playing and singing |

Strangely, this statement also seems to apply for me. Before starting grade 8, I was really interested in learning how to draw. Beyond grade 8 through grade 10, art wasn't exactly something on my priority list, even though I always wanted to learn it for assignments and posters. Now, however, I find myself wanting to become good at digital art, especially after seeing PRS' most recent works.
Since I have the same assignment, I would actually prefer a recent article since it would be less awkward. Last edited by Shadow; September 17, 2011 at 01:50:50 AM. |

Pacquiao is one of my favorite boxers, but my top one is Oscar De la Hoya. Sadly, he retired a couple of years ago.
I dislike Mayweather 'cause he has a big mouth. I've lost even more respect for him now that he raged at the HBO reported. I loved the reporter's response though. "If i was 50 years younger, l'd kick your ass!" |

Ugh. The school is piling us with work every single day it's becoming pretty annoying. Our Biology teacher just talks and then gives us huge homeworks that essentially involve you covering a whole new chapter by yourself. The Religious Studies teacher expects us to do long, research questions which we normally never do. We're also required to do an English Language test every week, a Literature test next week and English/Arabic journals on a weekly basis.
I'm sorry if I sound whiny, but it's still the second week of school for us and we're already getting exhausted. When will teachers ever realize that students are not machines? |

We got our first English Literature essays today and the highest mark in our class didn't exceed 64%. The essay was about comparing two love sonnets in a very complex way, which proved to be really hard. It is frustrating to see such a result when this year is my IGCSE year. I guess I need to improve...

I feel like my eyesight is worsening every day. I'm spending the first half (and probably more) of my day doing homeworks, and then I sit on the computer for the second half. I want to visit a good eye doctor as soon as I have the time just to carry a normal check-up...
Wait, when did I delete one your posts? |
