Default HGSS - Yellow Forest coming to US

Everyone having fun with their new HGSS? Well, the Yellow Forest (route for Pokéwalker) will be available for download over Nintendo Wi-Fi April 1st-April 30th. This route will allow you to capture a variety of Pikachu, including some that know Fly and Surf. This will also POSSIBLY be for download in Europe and Australia since they run off the same server.

Still can't believe it.

It's too bad they didn't plan for it in PBR. Otherwise, it wouldn't look so weird seeing a Pikachu suddenly levitate in the air.

They could have done the little "balloon" idea from the manga and in the intro of Yellow and it wouldn't have killed the game.

I can't wait to download the Yellow Forest course and encounter a flying or surfing Pikachu. It's going to look a little odd, but I'm sure I'll get along with it.

Awesome! I can't wait for my Surfing and Flying Pikachu! I wonder how they Surf and Fly

And by the way, you'll need 9000+ Steps for Surfing Pikachu, and 10000+ Steps for Flying Pikachu

Yeah... Good luck with that.

Flying Pikachus are near-impossible to get.
Surfing Pikachus are extremely hard to get.
Heck, even Volt Tackle Pikachus are very rare.

If I may say something:

According to Serebii:

Nintendo has announced that the Yellow Forest route will be given for a few more days and will run from April 1 2010 to May 5 2010.

I am getting both a surfing and flying pikachu, then I shall make an epic Raichu (pichu) team with the 2 event pichus, those 2 pikachus, and 2 normal pikachus, then evolve the 5 (spike ear can't evolve)
It'll be awesum!

Yes, unfortunately.

Check those shocking statistics:

Flying Pikachu
0+ Steps: 0%
2000+ Steps: 0%
10000+ Steps: 2%

Which means that the odd of encountering a Flying Pikachu are almost next to none.

Surfing Pikachu
0+ Steps: 0%
2000+ Steps: 0%
9500+ Steps: 3% (Wow. A 1% increase )

As you can see, a Surfing Pikachu is extremely rare, too.

Holy crap!
And I just realized that they are all pikachus, hence they have the same sprite, so there's no way to tell if it's one or not. ._.
Unless the board/balloons are included in the sprite.

But wouldn't they have to have the board/balloons in HGSS too? If there were, that means thet someone would have probably found it by now.

But yeah, it does suck that we cant tell them apart.

If you guys had read up a bit more you would know that the trick to finding either is looking for and battling a !!! bubble, rather than a !! or a ! one. This will guaranty a good pikachu, w/ surf, or fly. You will still have to walk the 10000 steps, but this will only guaranty that you won't run out of watts as fast.

EDIT: Oh, and I believe its been moved to april 2nd...
