(..I'm the big boss now, eh? Well. Dead is allowed to climb the tower. The 'random people' he was referring to were persumibly Gold, Black and Netto. So there's nothing wrong.. This time around.)
Koga quickly tried to drag Mira away, then noticed her Quilava, and the Axew. Axew glared at Koga, and jumped up and down, "Ax! Axew! Ew!" it cried, trying to alert Revya and Sapphire. |

"Well, what do you say?" Drayden said. "Will you take up Gardenia's position? Note to you, we will NOT take no as an acceptable answer." Lignum didn't know what to do; he didn't know what he was doing, where he was, why he was there, and his whole world was spinning out of control.
"I-I don't understand!? W-what are you guys trying to prove!?" Lignum stammered. Iris frowned. "Well, our goal is to gain power. Ever since N Harmonia...the one who tried to separate humans from Pokemon and rid the world of pain, we realized that we couldn't leave the duties of power all fixated upon one person...Blue, Lance, Steven, Cynthia, and Alder...they all control their regions. We had no choice but to serve them, and it disgusts us to believe that we can go unopposed to the Champion in that way! We need power; that way, our forces will be unstoppable. In such a way that no trainer could ever comprehend!" "B-but how!? How did you plan on doing such a thing?" Drayden snorted. "That's what we wondered as well. Under normal circumstances, Gym Leaders like us had no sway over the Elite Four, much less the Champion. So we had to turn to unnatural sources." "Let me guess...by that, you mean the fine-tuned Pokemon, correct?" "Indeed. With fine-tuned Pokemon, we could rid any Pokemon of any weakness with ease. With a minor setback - we had to make sure we used it modestly, or else the Pokemon's genes would become too scrambled, it would fall into a sickness, then soon turn to stone, never to reemerge. However, that was not too much of a problem - it was enough. Our main issue was to rid of the main people who got in our way...that was the Pokedex Holders around the world. We were certain that news of new Pokemon would spur their attention towards this region, known as X...and thus, we lured them here with talk of a newly discovered region with Pokemon beyond their wildest dreams. Sure, it was a half-truth indeed! As soon as they arrived, we battled them into submission, then plucked them off, one by one..." Lignum couldn't believe what he was hearing. Aren't Gym Leaders supposed to be people of great virtue? He wasn't willing to accept what they were saying for face value. "Now," Iris continued, "You are one of many who we planned to be rid of. We heard that new trainers were coming here to find the old ones, but we planned on doing the same to you. We would've killed you, if it weren't for Gardenia rescuing you back on that mountain. Which is the exact reason we released her." Lignum suddenly remembered. "What do you...what is 'releasing'?" Iris sighed. "By now, we thought you'd know...it's execution." Lignum stood there for a moment. "Y-you mean...you...killed her?" "It had to be done to ensure that our organization doesn't crumble. Disobedience cannot be tolerated...and because she betrayed our trust, she shall no longer receive any." "Th-that's horrible! I won't replace her, I won't agree with you, and nothing you say will ever sway my position on the topic! That's final!" Drayden sighed. "You've left us no choice. Sabrina, if you please..." Immediately, from another hidden door, Sabrina, the Saffron City Gym Leader, sent out a Pokemon, a Beheeyem. The Beheeyem floated in front of Lingum, and the three colored spheres on its hands began to flash. "Beheeyem...alter this fool's memories." Beheeyem clutched Lignum's head, and soon began to drain Lignum's memories away to replace them at its own will... |

Nanami and Volkner walked into the room, "..I brought her, Iris, Drayden. Koga has presumibly gotten his target too."
Koga dragged Mira away, towards the secret base, ignoring Axew and Quilava. Gold shrugged, "We have. But they're famous. White and Sapphire. Oh, and Yellow. But.. She's missing." |

Koga sent out a Crobat, to try to use Hypnosis, to send Axew and Quilava to sleep. Axew tried it's best to stay awake, but fell asleep. This then alerted Revya and Sapphire, who sent out Gallade and Dewott, respectively, who turned around to see Koga.

Lignum suddenly felt revitalized. He hadn't moved from his spot, but he felt like he had been there for a long time. He turned around, and he saw someone...someone, in his newly refreshed memory, was an ally of some sort. He didn't know why, but he had a strange eagerness to battle her.
"Well, it looks like the memory refreshing process went by perfectly!" Volkner said, amused. "That should make manipulating him much easier. After Gardenia betrayed us and all, it's about time we saw a fresh face around here." Volkner amply walked to Lingum, leaving Nanami standing, looking for a chance to escape. "You can't escape..." Lignum said. It was odd - his voice was not the same, but rather, replaced with a weird, demonic tone. "I can tell you are thinking that...but there's no escaping now..." "Ah, I know exactly what we should do!" Drayden said. "Lignum, my slave, battle this girl. Let's see what you are truly made of, and how you can handle her! After all, you have the fine-tuned Pokemon - defeating her will be a cinch, as we've conquered legendary Pokemon with these fine-tuned Pokemon. So, how about it?" "...Master Drayden, I will never back down from a fight!" "Good..." Drayden murmured. "What do you say, Nanami? Accept his challenge and win, and we'll let you go. Lose, and your memories shall be warped, just like this here boy's was. Well...what is your decision?" |

Nanami glared at Lignum, and crossed her arms, "..And if I say no to the whole challenging thing? Lignum, is it? You're not a slave. You're a trainer, like me. And a friend of mine." she then glared at Drayden and Iris, "..Why are you doing this? I've heard it was because you that that N guy and those sages were beaten.."
Black shivered, "Suddenly, I'm cold. Really cold." Gold nodded, also shivering, "..Who turned down the heat..?" |

"Gallade, Pyscho Cut!" Revya commanded, "Dewott.. Aqua Jet!" the two pokemon both used their respective moves, but both missed, however, Quilava's Flamethrower managed to land a Critical Hit on Crobat, one hit KOing it. Koga returned Crobat, and continued to drag Mira, before disappearing into the shadows with her.
Behind Candice, was Chili, and Articuno and Moltres behind them. The two legendary birds' eyes were red. "..Who wants to die first?" Candice asked, giggling. "I almost pity ya." |

Quilava didn't even wait for anyone to speak. He just ran after koga in order to save his friend. Even the desprate crys for quilava to come back didn't stop the bold quilava. All that mattered was that he got his trainer to saftey. Little did Quilava know, this was only a dream

"What? Trainers? Fool, trainers are merely a name that society has slapped on to people...if we can't use Pokemon beyond their potential, then what's the point? It was all part of Ghetsis's plan...we were to manipulate N and seize the world's Pokemon for our own! But we weren't stopping there...we were to fine-tune them, and put an end to people of weak hearts and foolish ideals. We were to conquer the world, and the people, the society who no longer had any power over us, was to quiver under our might! But alas, it wasn't to be...because Black and White, they combined forces, and defeated Ghetsis. The plan unraveled while we watched helplessly...but now, it has been revived. Of course it all had to start somewhere...and that's where the Elite Four of Sinnoh came in. Allow me to explain; if you recall, the Elite Four of Sinnoh were the ones who suggested the tournament, correct? Well, our good friend Lucian was perfectly up to the task! Bribing him with talk of fine-tuned Pokemon, we had his ideas spread across the land...and the tournament brought out the best of the best...or so the ignorant fools thought. True, we found the best of the normal Pokemon...but we had a 100% successful defeat rate of all normal Pokemon, and we faced well more than a thousand."
"Allow me to continue, dear Lignum..." Drayden said. "You see, Nanami, this boy is where it all began. He's been part of the Gym League, as we now call ourselves, since the beginning. He founded us." The Gym Leaders all grinned. It seemed as if they had something to hide, and they all anxiously awaited Nanami's reply... |

Nanami continued to glare, "..Black and White, huh? Never heard of them. And if you want me to battle Lignum.. Against your sick remakes of Pokemon.. Think again. Pokemon aren't meant to be used as weapons, or anything. Team Rocket learned this the hard way." she then tried to run away.

"Really, now...Giratina, stop her!" Drayden shouted, hurling a Pokeball in the air. From it, a Giratina, much like the others, having red eyes and a menacing glare. With a great roar, the dimensions twisted, causing the door to be shut fast, though Nanami tried to unhinge it. Giratina flew towards her and grabbed her with its powerful tentacles, and brought her back before Lignum and the rest of the group.
"You can't honestly think of escaping...after all, you do have the security to contend with. In which case, no matter what you do, you have to battle at some point," Iris said, scoffing at how she dared to escape. Lignum watched with growing pleasure. Under his new mindset, he was no longer empathic, but his kind thoughts were replaced with evil and cunning. He grabbed his Pokeball, and released his Celebi. In doing so, suddenly, his head began to hurt incredibly badly. Screaming, Lignum collapsed to the floor, clutching his head. "Lignum, what are you doing!?" Drayden asked, out of anger rather than for hope of well-being. Lignum's massive pain stopped soon, and he arose. "Master Drayden...this interloper has caused far too much trouble for us. There doesn't appear to be any way we can persuade her to join our side. Her bonds...as one calls them...are too strong. We must be rid of her. Agreed?" Drayden stared a moment. He scratched his beard, and sighed. Suddenly he slammed his fist on the arms of his chair and shouted, "SABRINAAAAAAAA!!!" Sabrina came flying in. "What, Master Drayden!? What has happened!?" Drayden pointed a finger at Lignum. "The memory changing process...it wasn't done properly! His memories...he has old memories conflicting with the ones we thrust upon him! He hasn't fully changed sides!" Sabrina gasped. "I-I-I'm so sorry, Master Drayden, I..." Drayden slammed his fist again. "Enough of this dribble! Volkner...take all three of them to the release chamber! We must be rid of them as quickly as possible. Do it now!!" Last edited by GrassPokemonFTW; September 28, 2011 at 05:23:44 AM. |

(y'know what's funny? Revya's name. Revya Harmonia. Meaning he is a Harmonia, like N.)
Nanami took out three pokeballs. "Release? I don't think so. Ifirit, Titan, Bismark! It's your chance!" she then threw up the pokeballs, the three final evos of the Sinnoh starters coming out of the balls. "..Lignum, remember who you really are." she sighed, before commanding Bismark to use Surf on Lignum and Ifirit to use Flare Blitz on Celebi. "Sabrina, is it? They're discarding you. Like a rag doll that's torn. Like a toy that a child no longer wants. Show them that you're better!" she then turned to Sabrina, seemingly pleading with her, as Volkner drew near, to try to capture her again. Candice scoffed, "A loud mouth? You're stupider than Master Draydan expected." she then took out a radio, "Koga, have you attacked the two girls and the boy?" Koga nodded, as he entered the secret base Lignum and co. were in, "..Yes. Captured the Fire type master, to replace the traitor.. Chili." Chili sighed, "Koga, you're smart. Who woulda guessed I'm a traitor too? Oh well, Moltres, Fire Blast on Articuno!" Last edited by Roxas; September 28, 2011 at 10:50:37 AM. |

Lignum stood with no reaction as Bismarck's wave came crashing in and Infirit's blazing body rushed towards Celebi. Celebi looked back at Lignum, as if waiting for him to command it. Lignum nodded.
"Celebi, send me back to the past. Perhaps...send me a day ago, when the ship was destroyed. I need to see...what really happened." In an instant, Celebi and Lignum were gone, just like dust in the wind. The waves crashed hard, into nothing, while Infirit stood, wondering where on earth Lignum went. "Drayden, let me prove myself! I have much more to show..." Sabrina pleaded. Drayden scoffed. "Nonetheless, you have failed. Putting an end to her would make no difference in my judgment...you will have to be killed, one way or another..." Just then Drayden sent out two more Pokemon; Dialga and Palkia. Iris sent out her own as well, her three dragons, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem. Sabrina sent out her own Cresselia, and Volkner sent out a Zapdos. "Well, Nanami. Look at this. The odds are way stacked against you. With your miniscule power...you didn't have any hope to start. How can you hope to face against eight different legends with only those three? And better yet, our Pokemon are conditioned...yours are limited. If you had just surrendered, you wouldn't be in this mess..." |

Mira suddenly awoke from being knoked out. Relizing she was being dragged, she had to do somthing, or she'd be toast. If he wasn't dragging me by my hands I could send out Flareon. Mira thought. She was completly helpless and the only way to find out what was going on was to let whoever was dragging her drag her.

Lignum opened his eyes. He found himself lying face down on the ground. He opened his eyes, and he found himself on the mountain where he had first woken up, after the ship exploded. Back in his previous state of mind, he wondered why he was there. Wasn't he just in some weird building of some sort?
He also noticed that he still didn't have his own Pokemon. Vileplume, Ludicolo, Roserade, and Whimsicott...they were all gone. However, Lignum still had the fine-tuned Celebi, Shaymin, and Virizion. Unsure what to do, he had Celebi teleport him into the cave where he met Gold and Black. He found no one there. Wondering when and where he could have ended up, he had Celebi transport him to a different area. Next, he found himself at the clearing of a forest. It was ominous, with a creepy mist rising about. He saw two people in the clearing, and hid behind the tree. Looking closer, he found that it was two more Gym Leaders. The first was Juan, and he was holding what appeared to be a gun. The other was Crasher Wake, who was the target of the former's gun. "Crasher, I loathe to do this, but it's Drayden's orders..." Juan said in his cool, suave voice. Crasher grumbled and stepped back. "I failed one mission...how should that prove that I'm not useful for you?" "Well, if you failed with a fine-tuned Pokemon, then something is clearly wrong. Especially considering you were at sea with a Kyogre! Defeating them in the sea should have been easy!" Crasher Wake took one more step back. "I've been alongside Drayden and Iris since the beginning...this is the thanks I get!?" Crasher Wake roared. Juan sighed. "It's merely protocol. I told you...I don't want to do this..." Suddenly a voice was heard. "Then don't." Juan turned around, and there stood Chili and Gardenia. They aimed their own guns at Juan and fired. As soon as the chaos had began, it was over; Juan fell lifeless to the ground. Crasher Wake, totally breathless, ran to Gardenia and Chili, screaming, "Th-THANK YOU! I can't believe you di-" And yet again, the two Gym Leaders fired their guns. Crasher Wake now collapsed, eyes full of tears, and thumped, dead as a doorknob... |

"..We're not going to kill you.. Or at least, I won't. I'll let you in on something.." Koga switched off his walkie-talkie thing, before letting go of Mira, briefly. "..Your friends, a grass type trainer, and a Sinnoh master, are being held prisoner. You will be joining them. All of the finalists will be held prisoner.. Then taken to a special place. Up in the mountains." he then pointed to the mountains, then grabbed Mira again, and placed a leash around her neck. "..I don't want to have to kill you."

"Now that we took care of them, they can't go back out to sea...hurry, we need to get out to sea. For all we know, the Kyogre could be still on a rampage..." Chili said grimly.
"I agree. We must act quickly," Gardenia replied. She sent out her Celebi, the same one that she gave to Lignum back in the present day, and had them transported to the ocean. Lignum had his Celebi transport him to the same area, to follow. When next he could see, he was on the sandy beaches of X. But this was hardly the place to be resting, for a dark shadow of looming peril floated in the sky. He looked off to the left, and he saw Chili and Gardenia entering a small boat. Lignum hopped on in the back, below seeing ability of the two Gym Leaders. Before long, the waves became rough and the rain poured on. "There it is...but why is it so calm?" Chili said, in earnest confusion. Looking out into the sea, the Kyogre was merely swimming around. Almost suddenly, the radio on the boat turned on. "This is Sub XS-6 reporting to BlackBoat C, do you read?" came a gruff voice. Where had I heard that voice before, Lignum wondered. Gardenia smiled, replying, "Hello, 'captain', shouldn't you be dealing with you passengers right about now?" "Ah, well, Gardenia, I doubted that you'd be coming to my rescue. I swear it was Juan's job, was it not? Oh, never mind!" the voice said sarcastically. "You're a traitor, after all..." The boat became dead silent. "Wh-what did you say!? How dare you!" Gardenia replied. "I've heard from Master Drayden. He told me that Juan and Crasher Wake had been killed, had they not? He tells me it was your doing, after all...a Celebi hair doesn't lie." Lignum wondered. "That can't be right...Gardenia didn't send out Celebi until right before she teleported! Then it must have been...my Celebi...urk...!" |

Chili nodded, "..We'd better hurry to the Gym League Fountation secret base.." he sighed, "..And if you have any questions, don't bother asking me them." he seemed annoyed. "..Those heartless.. Killing Gardenia.." he mumbled.
Candice growled, but then flopped down. "Whatever! I'm sure Drayden and Iris'll kill you all themselves!" she shouted. |

"Nonetheless," the voice continued, "I have far better things than to waste my time with you. We have things to take care of, so if you don't mind..." Suddenly, the radio turned off, and the boat was overturned as the submarine surface from under the boat. The boat flipped over, and all three of them were pushed into the ocean. From underwater, Lignum saw the Kyogre again. All three of them surfaced, but the two Gym Leaders still hadn't noticed Lignum. As the hatch at the top of the submarine opened, the person who had been the captain of the ship arose. But why? Didn't he abandon ship back then? Immediately, the man took of his mustache and beard and revealed his true identity.
"Byron, you can't do this! Why take innocent lives!?" Chili shouted. Byron laughed. "Well, sounds like someone's getting desperate. Good thing too; desperation makes it all the more difficult for you two to beat us. Clay, come up here..." Soon, the Gym Leader from Driftveil arose, and sent out a Pokemon. Immediately, displaced water created a tidal wave of great force, nearly drowning the three. When Lignum came to, he realized that now, they had to contend with a fine-tuned Groudon. Almost in response, the Kyogre became restless, and the end seemed imminent... |

|

(Sure, I suppose. But the boat has to explode some way, just remember that.)
The two dragons, who seemed to appear out of nowhere, came in and attacked. Their attacks shook the waves drastically, and made the two ancient Pokemon even more restless. Groudon began to attack with Eruption, while Kyogre used Water Spout. The resilt was devastating, nowhere was safe, and the boat was being shook violently. "Clay, let's go! The ship...we need to make sure there are no survivors!" Byron shouted. Clay hustled down while Byron closed the hatch above him, and the submarine once again sank under the water. After that, Lignum gave no effort to conceal his presence. He had Celebi transport him again, this time, onto the boat. There, he saw all of the trainers from before: Dead, Revya, Nanami, and Mira. They were all in terror, running around, trying to keep them and their Pokemon safe. Lignum even saw himself in a panic. Lignum knew that if anyone saw him, it would invoke more confusion than was necessary. He teleported to the hull of the ship. From there, he saw the main engines. He had a look, and he realized that there was another Gym Leader on the boat - this time, it was Jasmine. She turned her head, and thus became the first person to realize Lignum's existance in the past. "Wh-what are you doing here!? I locked the door so that no one could get in!" Jasmine shouted, frightened. "Celebi let me in...Gardenia's Celebi." Jasmine nodded. For some reason, her fear seemed to be alleviated by that, and Lignum couldn't fathom why. "Good, then we're on the same side then...we need to see the downfall of the Gym Leaders. Good, good." "You see, I don't understand that," Lignum responded. "I've had enough of being in the dark! I need you to tell me, what's going on here!? This whole concept of Gym Leaders seeking power...I can't wrap my head around it!" Jasmine nodded. "I agree...I cannot as well. They talk of power and wealth beyond our beliefs...I don't buy into that. Somehow...I feel as if I'm being used. They're just killing us off one by one...I heard what happened to Juan and Crasher Wake. They're not the last of the Gym Leaders that they'll 'release', and they weren't the first. I've had many friends taken from me by them...Bugsy, Whitney, Flannery, and Winona were all killed before Crasher Wake and Juan." Lignum had to make a last ditch decision. He felt like he could trust Jasmine - so he decided to tell her. "Jasmine, I...I'm from the future. I know it's odd, but I have Celebi. You understand, right?" Lignum said tentatively. Jasmine nodded. "There's more...in my time, Lt. Surge and Gardenia have been killed. I just don't...I don't understand what's what anymore..." Jasmine walked up to him, frowning. "I'm...I'm sorry you had to go through this," she said, her hands in her pocket. "Perhaps this will compensate for your sufferings..." Before Lignum understood what had happened, Jasmine pulled out a knife and stabbed Lignum in the stomach. Lignum, coughing up blood, collapsed on the floor and writhed. He looked up, and found Jasmine, laughing like crazy, before her frame suddenly changed. Lignum realized that it wasn't really Jasmine - it was Sabrina. "H-how...!" Lignum gasped, still wretching and writing. He clasped his stomach, and a pool of blood formed on the floor. "Y-you...you're in...real time...!" Sabrina smiled. "I had Master Drayden transport me here through Dialga. Now I can kill you before you muck up any of our plans in the past..." |

Past-Netto gasped, when he saw the submarine go under the water, but then his Latios got hit by the Water Sport attack of Kyogre's and forced him to land on the ship. He returned the pokemon, and looked around. "..What is this thing?" he asked, confused. (Past-Netto shall save you!.. Or not! Mwahahaha.)
Present-Netto blinked suddenly, "Wait just a second. Why did i just get a weird feeling..?" Chili led the small group towards the secret base of the GLF, looking rather depressed. Lignum knew he couldn't go back to the future now. Not when he was so close to keeping the ship from explosion. Even if he did, he'd be too weak to fight off anyone who might come along. In a dire predicament, all Lignum could do is lie and wait.
"Master Drayden...watch as I dispose of the enemy!" Sabrina shouted, about to thrust her knife down upon Lignum. However, all of the sudden, the wall burst open, and Lignum and Sabrina back towards the wall. Water rushed into the ship, and the pipes crushed to the force of impact. Lignum turned his head as much as he could, to find Sabrina...her body thrust into broken pipes, and as he saw one extend from Sabrina's back to a bent state in front of her, he immediately knew that Sabrina was dead. But that couldn't be right...history wasn't meant to change in this way! In the future, Sabrina was alive...but now she's dead? What did this mean!? From the hole in the wall, the submarine rushed in, and Byron and Clay jumped out into the raging water. The room was becoming drowned in water, but it didn't seem to deter the two Gym Leaders that much. "Well, well, if it isn't Sabrina? Not sure how you got here, but I suppose we'll finish the job for ya!" Byron said before diving under water. He went to the engine, turned the dial that was set on by Sabrina. The timer on the dial read 5:00, then 4:59. It was clear to him that he had set the bomb to destroy the ship. Unable to dive in his current state, he had Celebi teleport him right outside the door to the engine room. He didn't know what to do anymore...could it have been the end? After all this time...would he be unable to keep the ship safe? Soon, though, he saw a running figure in the distance. It looked like...it looked like Netto! "Well, I come from the future, hence, the Celebi off to my side..." Lignum explained frantically. We met in a future time. As you know, the ship is sinking, but I need you to get into the engine room. These two Gym Leaders, Byron and Clay, set up a bomb there. I need you to get past them and disarm the bomb so that we don't all get blown up. The door is locked, so Celebi will transport you there. You in?"
