Default What's your favorite computer manufacturer?

Who is your favorite and why? I'd either have to go with Alienware or HP, Alienware because of all their nice and strong computers(although super expensive), and HP because my laptop is made by them...even if said laptop breaks down(and even though they own Compaq whom I hate with a passion).

Oh, and if you choose Dell, prepare to die. :J

I've had many Dells. My desktop's a Dell and my old laptop's a Dell. They suck, never again will I get one of those pieces of crap. The offer very little support, and their laptops are prone to breaking (The desktop, however, is fine. We've had it for years.)

My mom has had an Acer and now has an HP. I honestly can't say I liked the Acer. It's too big and clunky, and always had problems with it. The HP is relatively new, and is okay, but not the best.

My sister has a Mac, which is awesome! However, it's incompatibility puts me off. She too had a Dell before, but it spontaneously broke, and is now running Ubuntu. (Not all was lost, I managed to boot it up while it was still XP and transfer around 20GB of music and photos).

I currently have a Toshiba, and I have to say it's the best laptop I've ever had! I haven't had any problems so far (Other than me smacking it really hard and had to send it in for repairs... which took 5 months to do... but it was really my fault! ). It's fast, light, has a big screen and doesn't overheat (Another of the problems my mom's Acer had)

I think I'll say HP since I've had trouble with most of the other ones.

I'm gonna have to say Dell.

Mainly due to the fact that their's is the only brand of computers I've ever owned.

Unlike most of you I am the opposite. I like Dell computers, I've never had any problems with them. My Dell desktop is like 3-4 years old and is still running like a new machine. However, for my netbook I went with ASUS. While I previously haven't had any of their computers I have heard good things about them, and I do have to agree with them. And as for those who like HP, we have had like 3 different HP machines and all of them took a dramatic change in performance after only like two years.

I've always used Dell, but now we have an Acer laptop and it's pretty cool.

All I have to say is . . . Apple FTL. >w<
I definitely do not have a favorite computer manufacturer, or even a major one that I really like. I've never used their computers, but System76 and PearC look good. If I were buying a brand-new computer I'd probably buy it from one of them. I just use whatever I can get.
If you're looking for a Mac, you might want to check out PearC because they preinstall Mac OS X on their computers (And legally, too! One must love Germany.), and you don't have to deal with Apple's restrictions.

Probably HP. My HP Laptop is running very fast and smoothly, and hasn't had a problem for weeks.

But for gaming...ALIENWARE ALL THE WAY

BUUUT, for making programs, animations, and all that...MAC ALL THE WAY
