FORUM RULES
- This forum is subject to the laws set forth by the United States, the State of Nevada, the State of Florida, and HiVelocity. Forbidden material includes, but is not limited to, pornography, hentai, items protected by copyright, safety hazards, and excessively violent graphics. Promotion of piracy is also forbidden.
Victory Road's Specific Rules
- Use correct spelling and grammar to the best of your ability. Occasional mistakes are permissible, but consistent misuse of spelling and grammar is annoying and impedes comprehension. Internet acronyms (e.g. LOL or FTW) are to be used sparingly and only with feeling outside of the ChatBox. Remember if you aren't going to take the time to make your post readable, then we aren't going to take the time to read it.
- Be mature, thoughtful, and on-topic. Frivolous posting may occur ONLY on /b/uizel. Posts of just "Cool!" or "^This" and such are not allowed. Anything that may be considered "adult" may only be placed in /b/uizel; this may not be posted in the chatroom.
- Do not harass or argue with moderators or undo their actions. If you have concerns, contact the appropriate staff members via PM.
- Do NOT discuss which generation or TV season of Pokémon is "the best". This is ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN due to flame wars stemming from its discussion; it also is not a fact and is always an opinion. Instead, state it as your favorite generation/season, and provide a reason other than "it is better". Claiming a Pokémon asset is better than another simply based on release date is terrible logic.
General Rules
- Organize questions and comments into appropriate and properly-titled threads; search for similar threads before creating a new one.
- Do not spam, flood, double post, or post off-topic. Do not post simply to increase your post count or gain experience points. However, you are permitted to double post if at least a week has passed or urgent information is introduced. (An example is if a release date for a game is published after your post made the day prior.)
- Do not use any account, including sockpuppets (alternate accounts), to impersonate members, violate rules, or bypass moderator action.
- Do not create accounts for new members. If they want to participate on the forum they must create their own accounts with their own username, password, and e-mail.
- Profanities, vulgarities, abusive and violent language, and any form of flaming and harassment are not allowed. Discrimination or harassment on the basis of age, sex, gender, race, religion, political affiliation or country of origin is not allowed at Victory Road.
- Do not overuse smileys, images, or YouTube embeds such that a page is cluttered.
- Do not bump topics more than one month old unless they are still relevant. An example of a topic that is still relevant is one that asks "What is your favorite Pokémon?", while one that is not would be "What do you want to see in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl?" four months after DP are released.
- Do not attempt to violate ethical standards or invade the privacy of other users.
Signature Rules
- Do not use more than six lines of plain text. Do not use a size greater than 4. These lines are determined on an 800x600 resolution.
- The maximum total height of all images and text is 200 pixels.
- The maximum total width of all images is 650 pixels.
- Do not use more than one Brawl card or MKW license.
- The usage of YouTube videos in signatures is not permitted.
- Use the [spoiler] tag if you want to use signatures outside of these limits.
- Administrators and moderators will replace signatures with a warning if they are found to be a disruption or in violation to these rules.
Disclaimer
- These rules apply to all parts of Victory Road, including (but not limited to) forums, personal messaging, photo albums, social groups, avatars, signatures, and visitor commentary, unless otherwise stated by an administrator. Do not use any portion of the forum as a secure medium of transferring information. We reserve the right to modify posts, profile information, and pictures without notice. These rules may also be modified at any time as staff sees fit.
After reading these rules:
